Set Description
========
Smeargle is the premier Sticky Web setter in AG due to the sheer amount of utility moves it gets access to and its ability to guarantee webs against most Mons in the metagame. Smeargle has plenty of options on how it wants to cripple the opponent to safely set up Sticky Webs, but the overall most useful option is nuzzle because it isn't blocked by taunt or magic bounce, paralyzes the opponent, and breaks potential sashes. However, other options can be used, such as Glare for the ability to paralyze Ground types, such as Arceus-Ground, Excadrill and Primal Groudon, and Spore to put opponents to sleep long enough to set hazards. Taunt is run to prevent foes from defogging or setting up their own hazards. Smeargle has many options for its final move, Rapid Spin gives it the ability to remove hazards from the field, deal chip damage to break focus sash on pokemon such as Deoxys-Speed, and boost its own speed which helps it outspeed and taunt pokemon like Arceus-Ground , Whirlwind allows it to prevent Pokemon such as Substitute Zacian-C from setting up on it, and Stealth Rock can be run if you want to compress hazards onto one Pokemon.
Focus Sash is the preferred option for Smeargle, as its horrendous bulk and lackluster speed make it unlikely to take a hit from anything. Technician allows smeargle to get a slight boost in chip damage from nuzzle and rapid spin. Due to its egregious stats, Smeargle only really cares about running max Speed and a Jolly nature to get the jump on non-invested base 90s. Max Defense is opted to attempt to live multihit attacks such as Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Rock Blast.

This Smeargle set is best used along side pokemon with mediocre speed tiers such as Arceus-Ghost , Mega-Rayquaza, Vivillon, Primal-Kyogre, Primal-Groudon, Ultra Necrozma, or another smeargle to provide Sticky Webs support. If Smeargle doesn't carry stealth rocks then you will have to use another team slot for a stealth rocks user such as Primal-Groudon or Landorus-Therian.

Name: Smash Pass
Move 1: Spore
Move 2: Shell Smash
Move 3: Baton Pass
Move 4: Spectral Thief / Taunt
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
Nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Smash pass is a more niche playstyle held together by Smeargle. Spore is used to put the opposing Pokemon to sleep, Hopefully guarantees a safe baton pass in to a recipient after using shell smash. Shell smash is used to get boosts and baton pass is used to pass the boosts to a strong recipient such as Dialga, Mega-Rayquaza or Yveltal. Spectral thief allows Smeargle to steal the boosts of setup sweepers such as Geomancy Xerneas and baton pass them into members of your own team, alternatively, Taunt can be used to prevent phazing attempts such as Haze, Whirlwind or Leech Seed. Focus sash is used to prevent smeargle from dying in one hit and allowing it to set up.

Notably this set can't be used well as a lead so it is necessary to maintain good harzard control in order to allow for Smeargle to set up, pokemon such as arceus-ghost or arceus-ground with defog and stealth rocks can be used to prevent rocks from getting up while setting their own hazards. Smearlge can be paired with multiple recipients in a team so you can choose which one is best for the situation you are currently in.

Move 1: Spore
Move 2: Substitute
Move 3: Shell Smash
Move 4: Power Trip
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Moody
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
This Smeargle set aims to take advantage of its teammates support to get into a position to sweep through teams. Spore is used to put Pokemon to sleep that may otherwise try and pick it off with priority, or Phaze it, such as Ho-Oh. Substitute is used to take advantage of the opposing Pokemon's inability to attack to further acquire boosts. giving it a safety buffer for when they wake up or switch to a different Pokemon so it can use Spore again.. Shell Smash helps Smeargle greatly increase its damage output, while also giving it helpful speed boosts .Moody gives Smeargle random boosts which allows it to build up even more damage on Power Trip, and also obtain helpful boosts, such as in Speed. This set opt to run max attack investment in order to deal as much damage as possible. As a result of this, it is very frail, so you have to be careful of priority moves such as Rayquaza Extreme Speed and multi hit moves such as Necrozma-Dusk-Mane rock blast. Smeargle is unable to set up on Pokemon faster than it initially so it relies on speed control such as teammates with rock tomb and sticky webs. Smeargle is also unable to set up against pokemon that are immune to spore, this includes grass types like Ferrothorn, pokemon with saftey goggles like Zygarde-C , and Pokemon protected by misty or electric terrain.

This smeargle set is best used on sticky webs teams with another Smeargle used to set webs, it is often best to run it with other speed control too such as excadrill with rock tomb or Arceus-Ghost Max Strike. Mega-Rayquaza also pairs well with Smeargle because of its ability to easily set and defeat Ferrothorn and also benefits from sticky webs. Xerneas pairs well with smeargle because it can beat googles Zygarde and clean up teams if smeargle dies.

However, other options can be used, such as Glare for the ability to paralyze Ground types, such as Zygarde zyg is a worthless example because its either defensive which doesn't mind, or dd which would use sub Arceus-Ground and Primal Groudon and Excadrill, and Spore to put opponents to sleep long enough to set hazards. idk how important this is but maybe add a note somewhere about how various max moves can prevent these moves from functioning properly; ie. max lightning/starfall block spore or paralysis, max rockfall/hailstorm can kill you thru sash if you nuzzle the first turn Taunt is run to prevent foes from defogging or setting up their own hazards. Smeargle has many options for its final move, Rapid Spin gives it the ability to remove hazards from the field and boost its own speed and also breaks sashes, and this is especially helpful against foes like Deoxys-S and Defog Arceus-Ground so it can use Taunt faster. Whirlwind allows it to prevent Pokemon such as Substitute Dragon Dance Zygarde and no, this can dtail you before whirlwind Sub Zacian-C and, with proper prediction, Mega Gengar from setting up on it, and Stealth Rock can be run if you want to compress hazards onto one Pokemon. remove para break Focus Sash is the preferred mandatory option for Smeargle, as its horrendous bulk and lackluster speed make it unlikely to take a hit from anything. Own Tempo Technician affects rapid spin so might as well is run over Smeargle's more common ability, Moody, to prevent unwanted stat drops, such as Speed. Due to its egregious stats, Smeargle only really cares about running max Speed and a Jolly nature to get the jump on non-invested base 90s. Max Defense instead of max HP is opted to attempt to live physical multihit attacks such as Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Rock Blast and Ferrothorn Bullet Seed and attempt to live a few physical attacks.

This was really good if it's the first time you're writing an analysis. However, you need to include team options so I'll give it a second look once you've done that.

This Smeargle set aims to take advantage of its teammates support to get into a position to sweep through teams. Spore is used to put Pokemon to sleep that may otherwise try and pick it off with priority, or Phaze it, such as Ho-Oh or Lugia. Substitute is used to take advantage of the opposing Pokemon's inability to attack to further acquire boosts, giving it a safety buffer for when they wake up or switch to a different Pokemon so it can use Spore again.. Shell Smash helps Smeargle greatly increase its damage output, while also giving it helpful speed boosts .Moody gives Smeargle random boosts which allows it to build up even more damage on Power Trip, and also obtain helpful boosts, such as in Speed. Smeargle is also unable to set up against pokemon that are immune to spore, such as grass types like Ferrothorn, pokemon with saftey goggles like Zygarde-C , and Pokemon protected by misty or electric terrain. [Misty and Electric Terrain tend not to be on the field in situations that Smeargle also will be. If they are, it’s because someone Dynamaxed a Fairyceus or a Xerneas, so it’s probably not safe for Smeargle.]

This smeargle set is best used on sticky webs teams with another Smeargle used to set webs, it is often best to run it with other speed control too such as excadrill with rock tomb or Arceus-Ghost Max Strike. Mega-Rayquaza also pairs well with Smeargle because of its ability to easily set up on and defeat Ferrothorn and also benefits from sticky webs. Xerneas pairs well with smeargle because it can beat Safety googgles Zygarde and clean up teams if smeargle dies.

Implement whatever you want, thought I’d bump this. You might want to look at the Smogon Grammar Standards because there are a ton of spelling and minor grammatical errors that probably wouldn’t make GP very happy.

Hey there, before all else I'd like you to flesh out the 2nd paragraphs some more. Ideally, we'd like for you to specify what playstyle Smeargle fits well in, good teammates that appreciate Smeargle's niche, and any potential weaknesses Smeargle has that can be patched up by other teammates. Feel free to take a look at a few other analyses for a general idea. Tag me when you're done and I shall take a look.
