Last week's predicts were sort of accurate, even if Lily and Sab attempted to sabotage me because of their lack of time to devote to building. I would have bolded spitfire over skarph as well, so that's something else to feel good about. Let's move on to this week's matchups though, I'm sure they'll be interesting:

SV UU: JustFranco vs pdt feels like this game will be close, but pdt looked hella convincing last week, i trust he'll be fine here
SV UU: vivalospride vs Skarpherim vivalos' piloting with mossy's support feels like a good bet. Ftr I think mossy would win too if he were to play
SV UU: Amukamara vs Lyssa I think this will be a super interesting game to watch. Definitely has me more puzzled than the last two, in regards to making a prediction. Both players put on a good show last week, with Liam taking a convincing win vs bea, and Lyss having a shot at winning vs mossy if not for the blind rotom wash! I'll go with Lyss for this one, cause of her far better familiarity with the tier.
SV UU: Lily vs bbeeaa I trust there will be time to sit down and build not stall this week :woo:
SV UU: Vert vs Punny Ok, this game blows every other one out of the water for me, in terms of just pure hype. We didn't get to see Vert gaming last week (and we're all sad, shame on you Vert!), but hopefully the series won't be decided before this game happens. Punny just makes more sense to bold, due to both being a superb pilot and having tons more experience in UU. BUT, matchup is a a very real thing in UU, and as long as Vert doesn't load a shitty one he'll have a damn good shot at taking this home, that's what my gut says.

Icemaster vs. RichardMillePlain - The highlight. The moldoff we needed. Icemaster is less moldy than Richard so I'm giving it to him but this will be a good one unless either of them brings Quiver Dance Ribombee and crits CM Fairyceus

[TMS]Stories vs Dr. Phd. BJ [ISL]

Both players had strong showings in Week 1. Stories took a riskier approach with a Dudunsparce/Toxt build in a very close game and it payed off, expected considering the high stakes and nerves of both top players. It was the most entertaining game of Round 1.

BJ, on the other hand, showcased a solid team with a dominating win over Freezai. His strategic use of top-tier Pokémon and a smooth finish with DD Flygon highlighted his strong grasp of the meta.

This match promises to be exciting. The biggest winner here will be the viewers. Odds: 50-50

[SPA] Thiago Nunes vs watashi [PLA]

Nunes played a passive game when he had the momentum from team preview/lead and had favorable RNG. Although the ending was messy and some plays were reckless without reason to be, his team building was solid, and it was nice to see Toxt in action.

Watashi had a strong performance against zS, making the game close despite some questionable building choices. Lead Uxie sucks, Dragalge is a mon that has its qualities but atm the meta is very hostile to it and banded Pert is other good mon but hard to make it work in the meta of Plume, Vapo and levitate spam but watashi's play was impressive. Adapting his team for Week 2 will be crucial.

I lean towards watashi due to his strong Week 1 performance, though he needs to refine his teambuilding. Nunes will bring solid stuff again but needs to sharpen his game and is for sure capable of it. Odds: 45-55

[GIB] etern vs Elias PSY [TER]

Etern didn’t play bad in Week 1, losing to a strong opponent and facing a fearsome Grassy Terrain Drifblim. He played his cards well after being able to stifle the Drifblim chaos but the dmg was too big. Despite the loss I expect him to bounce back this week.

Elias had some good ideas but struggled against Vapo with rain, and his attempts to outpredict Nunes also didn’t always pay off. Despite this, Elias is a good player with great support and good execution even if the first week didn't highlighted that will eventually recover his record I just not sold it will be this week.

I favor Etern due to his stronger showing against a higher-caliber opponent. Odds: 60-40

[BRE] Freezai vs McMeghan [DYN]

Freezai's Week 1 performance was underwhelming. Like I said it was unknown how he and Diamonds would merge and for the look of that team double Shell Smash/Red Card they didn't work together at all this first week. and on top of all Tauntflame was a impossible matchup. The team lacked cohesion and connection with the meta. But the in game decisions were there at least...

McMeghan, with his win using Drifblim and Scarf Breloom, showed impressive skill against a top-tier NU player what else can I say? Despite my initial doubts about Roro getting in the tier without never having played it, his Week 1 performance was more than solid. And put high hopes in his performances to come.

I expect Freezai to improve this week, but I’m still easily backing McMeghan based on his Week 1 showing. Odds: 35-65

[SHO] zS vs Danny [FOX] - GAME OF THE WEEK

zS had a solid Week 1 with a well-read meta and a win against a top performer. His use of Water Absorb Quag was a clever addition to an otherwise standard team. He remains a strong contender.

Danny also had a great Week 1, narrowly missing a win due to a few rolls and miss read on the Flygon set. Hard to imagine him going 0-2. His team building was impressive, incorporating both old favorites like Pom Pom and Registeel with new additions like the Pauros Incin duo.

This is matchup isn't as even like Stories vs BJ but i think it will be more at stake specially for Danny. So more stakes, more swag and 2 very high level NU players and we have all you need for the game of the week. Odds 55-45
