SV UU: Lyssa vs pdt I'd say that after 4 weeks of gaming pdt has looked slightly better, so I'll go with him.
SV UU: Punny vs bbeeaa I've bolded punny 4 weeks in a row, and that's how many weeks he's won till now.
SV UU: Skarpherim vs JustFranco Tough to make a call here. On the one hand, Skarph got a close win last week, giving him the second best record of 3-1. On the other hand, Franco has shown that he's willing to be more unpredictable in his team choices, making him an even more fearsome opponent. I'll bold Skarph with respect to his better record, but i truly believe this is a 50-50.
SV UU: Dj Breloominati♬ vs Sabella Being forced to pick between 2 players I like a lot sucks. The shoguns finally have some nice UU support in mimilucha. Definitely a solid builder, who could frankly even be a starter, if things don't go well this week. That being said, Sab will have his own support in Lily, and both of them have played a lot of UU.
SV UU: vivalospride vs Amukamara Another banger game I'll be looking forward to. To my surprise (and perhaps others' too), Liam is tied for the second best record of 3-1 after 4 weeks of gaming. He's been using some very interesting teams to achieve that, so props to etern for that. I feel like it'd be disrespectful not to bold him this week, even if viv can certainly win as well.

10-10 in overall predicts so far. This week will be the most chaotic to predict so far, as we'll be spectating a whole new metagame. Hopefully weavile and the rest of the gang won't make me look like a clown.

[TER] Elias PSY vs Dr. Phd. BJ [ISL]

Elias PSY is coming off a solid performance last week, showcasing a team featuring OTR Diancie and G-Cuno—both capable of making significant impacts in our tier. His unconventional choice of Scarf Melo added a unique twist to his strategy. In his match against Stories, the game was tightly contested, with key moments influenced by flinches and critical rolls. I only disagree on his plan to close the game, I understand he wanted to TR than Moonblast and earth power without risking the 10% of missing Meteor beam but it was so easy to read the TR click that all lead to a crit to bailing him... All and all great week for Elias and I think he will carry momentum.

Dr. BJ recently faced a tough challenge against Roro, bringing a strong rain team that struggled against hazards and got the ultimate unluck of facing a random Gastrodon a mon that shouldn't be making any appearances until next week. Despite playing well and keeping the game competitive, he ultimately fell short against one of the top pilots in the pool.

Elias seems to have the edge in momentum, which can play a crucial role in matchups like this. BJ’s resilience will be tested, it would be the game of the week if not for the next MU.

[FOX] Danny vs McMeghan [DYN] GAME OF THE WEEK

Danny is currently performing at a high level, securing dominant wins with impressive team selections. Last week, he showcased a Uxie team complemented by solid Pokémon, even if they weren’t top-tier options. He played effectively, capitalizing on favorable matchups and making the right decisions when it counted. While this week’s performance wasn’t as standout as his previous two, he still solidified his position as one of the top players in the tournament.

Last week, I thought Roro was done for with another questionable team. But guess what? He pulled off the win! Seriously, it feels like he just types /randpoke 6,nu|pu and just manages to outplay his opponents, he is that guy. He even brought Gastrodon, which isn’t exactly the best water absorber in NU, but it excels against rain teams perfect match-up for what he faced.

Honestly, I’m not trying to hate here; I become a fan of his strange teambuilds. I’m really curious to see what offbeat picks he comes up with next. And at this point its just amazing watch him play.

Game of the week, Danny is 3-0 the last 3 weeks and Roro is undefeated. Hard to get more hype than that. But Roro seems inevitable.

[PLA] watashi vs frankjosh [TMS]

Watashi faced a challenging week, struggling to find his turns and reacting more than dictating the pace of the game. His team composition also took a step back, with choices like Defog Decid and H-Typh without boots appearing less effective in a hazard-heavy environment. However, he still is one of the top players and am curious to see how he adapts this week.

Frank is one more of the subs to come out, Stories was playing very well but luck wasn't on her side. Frank had a good performance on NUPL and is capable of doing well here. Curious to see what he will bring.

Odds: 55-45

[SHO] zS vs 3d [BRE]

I'm the biggest zS believer out there. But is getting harder to justify that. Last week he brought a weather less , web less, almost rock less HO... Thorns had Protect, Flygon D-tail... It was the worst team of the week and the piloting was ok given the tools but it started in such a bad place that no result could be achieved other than the defeat.

3d played super well and dominated watashi, his team was super standard and solid. Was a great debut in this SCL.

I will still go with zS sole by potential, I think this might be the last opportunity for zS for the next couple of weeks if he doesn't step up. but well, he more than capable. 3d can spoil that and send him to the bench lets see how that unfolds.

[SPA] Thiago Nunes vs tier [GIB]

Nunes had a terrible showoff last week. His team was clunky to say the least Talon+Bramble+Muk+Pert, no speed control (Scarf Toxt doesn't cut, sorry Slice) , not many tools to grab momentum to setup Toxt/Shao.... But Protective Pads Shao is nice ngl. Well in regards of gameplay was able to get a few reads but just didn't had the team to get anything done.

Tier just smashed zS strange HO. The building was really solid and competitive similar vibe to 3d. Another great debut for this SCL. It will be interesting to see if he can capitalize on Nunes’ recent struggles.

Ultimately Nunes is having mixed results and performances. If last week was a bad one, this week tends to be a better one. I think it will be a high week for him. Tier can easily take the win but i think Nunes will prevail.

to those of you whomst are considered my enemies (you know who you are): it is my greatest hope and desire that you fail in your matches. i have refound religion and now pray upon your downfall, i want nothing more than for you to find this hobby abhorrent, i want nothing more than for you to feel sick to your stomach logging into smogtours, a pavlovian response to the losses and embarassment you're sure to suffer

to the people whom are considered my allies and friends (you know who you are): keep up the good work, your diligence is what defines you and is key to your performance and reception. enjoy this, this tournament only comes once a year, and you ought to have a blast as you prepare and build and test with your teammates and comrades, building new relationships all the while. good luck!

A bit late, but here it is. This episode was especially toxic despite being down a few guys because of how evil emforbes is. Despite that, it was a pretty fun one and a lot of stupid stuff was said. Thanks to hellom for stepping in. This is also the first week people actually predicted the full shoguns series cuz it was just me as the non-participant.
