Welcome to the third edition of Smogon Masters! This is a Swiss bracket, Bo3 tournament with each set consisting of ORAS OU, SM OU, and SS OU. Players will decide which metagame to play first (with the higher seed choosing come Top Cut), then the loser picks a different generation for the following game. If both players cannot agree on a metagame to play first, each round will have a default generation randomized at the start of each round. After several rounds of the Swiss bracket, all players with 2 or fewer losses will be advanced onto a single elimination, Bo3 bracket which will culminate in a grand finals where we'll crown our winner of Smogon Masters III and the purple trophy

Princess Autumn is the primary host of this tournament and the co-hosts will be a fairy, Eledyr, goldmason, and vmnunes. This thread will house each week's starting tier, as well as any other relevant communication regarding the tour.
 
The default starting tier for Round 10 is USUM. This is the final round of Swiss, anyone who already has 8 wins has been advanced to the bracket stage of the tour. Only 7-2 players have a game this coming week.

The standings for the tour can be found here. The following should be noted:
  • Since round 10 is still ongoing, seeds can change for 8-0/8-1 players as their resistances may increase/decrease.
  • There will be 34 players in top cut which means that seeds 31-34 will have to play in a play-in round. This will run simultaneously alongside the first week of a two week long top 32. Seeds 1 and 2 will have their opponents determined by the end of the first week.
  • Extensions will be allowed from the beginning of top cut onwards, and the updated late round activity win rules will apply from that point onwards.
