that's not really how it works, the original picks will stand for Part 1 (the goal of the game is to pick the SB winner before playoffs start) while your weekly picks can be changed for part 2.

so last week you could have picked KC as your SB winner, but this week decided for part 2 "hey they're pretty screwed without Jeremy Maclin" and picked NE over them. you'd still win or place well in part 1 if KC won the SB, but if NE wins you're better off in part 2. it's just a little more fun trying to predict the outcome before all the games happen, even if it usually means just picking the eventual SB winner means you've won.
