obviously calling someone an idiot is a good way to approach this for a professional ™ memer, but this is one of the few things we agree on. Kiyo is one of the best players in NU, whether he has shown it consistently is the question rather than the answer. Should definitely be drafted imho
ahh yes. this is beautiful. obvious and immediate defense of someone's prodigical son and I couldn't not disagree with you more. Since when was an SPL a tour for up and coming and improving talent? I thought it was a showcase for the best players in every tier, rather than an improving player. If improvement deserves hype why dont we hype almost everyone else in NU. I will admit Meta has improved, but you genuinely think he's SPL Quality? Battling it out week after week with the top NU dogs Cased, SG, Fooly, Teddeh etc and getting consistent results? Nah, definitely not. Because if metaphysical was good enough to get into SPL on merit, he would have done something in an NU Tour of significance. If he does get signed, I foresee a long benchrole with a start now and then. You never know, but maybe he can improve from his losses and become a better player!
Obviously, according to you, I'm this amazing player thats overhyped (but at least I'm improving!) And I can't say I disagree with you. My grand slam showing, 19 Points and a finals in RU Open has a direct correlation with how bad I am. I don't think I'm a great player myself, I feel like I'm definitely not the best yet but for some reason you want to involve me in this lovely thread.
Thanks for your constructive contribution, as long as my friends consider me a good guy to talk to and play with I'm all good, and that people like you constantly feel the need to dismiss any hype related to me or others then I'm all good also, means your looking behind your back rather than having the confidence to take us on, head on.

people wouldnt be nearly as inclined to bitch if the NU Players in SPL currently put down the "hard work" of others for the sake of their friends. It doesn't take much to say that you don't have a comment because you haven't seen the player play, or just to be nice in general. Instead you find dicking on a this guy as if to assert your dominance as the better player, when in reality, Pokémon is such a luckbased game that he could woop your ass 6-0, no problem, and you know its the truth too.
What has generally saddened me with this thread is the fact I thought the NU community was slowly getting better. Slowly fixing the cracks between player groups and was returning to the cohesive group it was BW2. What it has highlighted to me is that not only is the NU community (including myself for replying) childish and bias, but so Toxic between each other that they can't talk half a page on a thread without getting into a arguement. Especially after all of the shit that happened recently with the community thread etc yet people who don't even care about SPL get involved since they seem targeted by this (I'm gonna say it because its still there!) "NU Clique" and seem forced to reply in order to protect their integrity.
Its genuinely getting to a point where people (including myself) don't wanna get involved with the NU Community because its getting to the point where it is an absolute mess.
also, SG, I'm incredibly sorry about what I have said and that I may have offended you sometime in the past to where you don't enjoy my presence, I wish you could return the apology in order to get this over with

Metaphysical is one of (if not) the most creative player I've seen as of late in the tier. Is he the underdog if he battled FLCL, Me, Teddeh, or SG? Yes he is, then again, SPL 5 I was projected as the eighth best NU player and I beat every single player ranked above me. Teddeh was an afterthought in SPL 6, a player who perceived as someone who would have "a long benchrole with a start now and then," and he wound up with the best NU record and after making crucial teambuilding mistakes in his first two weeks, made the plays and teams to win. My highest achievement on Smogon before playing in SPL 5 was... Nothing. I did okay in a few PO tours and showed my creativity in tryouts and got drafted. That's really all it comes down to, meta tried out for my NUPL team and I noticed something I liked, and he's gotten much better as a player so I put in a good word for him, if anything he's far from someone who sucks up to auth.
I think he included you because Aladdyn said "NU has a lot of ladder heroes such as HJAD who made Grand Slam playoffs and Jarii who posted results in NUL and NU Open." There's no difference from "dismissing hype from you or others," and being called overrated or not as good as people think you are, and it's something every single player on this site deals with. If you continue to perform well, people will slowly stop shitting on you. And if you do dumb things in or out your games, people will shit on you, that's just what's going to happen. I hope you're not salty that people are insulting you because you had a bad playoff series for Grand Slam + brought a newly dropped Pokemon to NU when the thread was posted a week before the drops, every tournament player knows the drop rules
