[OVERVIEW]
Sneasel is a strong offensive threat in PU thanks to its high Speed that allows it to outpace major threats such as Virizion and near-unresisted STAB move combination in Knock Off and Triple Axel, which are powerful enough to make up for Sneasel's lacking Attack stat. Sneasel can further improve its damage output with Swords Dance or Choice Band. However, even with these options, Sneasel can struggle to break through walls like Weezing and Aromatisse. Sneasel's bulk is very low, making it difficult to switch into even the most passive defensive Pokemon, such as Palossand. It also doesn't help that not running Heavy-Duty Boots leaves Sneasel extremely vulnerable to all forms of entry hazards, while running it leaves Sneasel somewhat weaker and more vulnerable to status. Sneasel also faces competition from other fast revenge killers such as Archeops and Heliolisk, which have more switch-in opportunities and pivoting. Nevertheless, nothing in the tier can rival Sneasel's combination of typing, Speed, and powerful STAB combination.

[SET COMMENTS]

Due to Sneasel's weakness to Stealth Rock and susceptibility to all other entry hazards, Heavy-Duty Boots is the primary option for its held item. However, Life Orb can be used for an easier time sweeping, and Lum Berry gives Sneasel a one-time out from being crippled by status from the likes of Weezing and Jellicent. Sneasel rarely wants to directly switch into attacks, so it is best brought in as a revenge killer or through pivots such as Silvally-Fairy and Uxie. Silvally-Fairy is also able to remove hazards, while Uxie is able to set Stealth Rock up, and both can also check Fighting-types like Passimian, which can cause trouble for Sneasel. These Fighting-types, as well as defensive threats like Weezing and Silvally-Steel, should be taken out or greatly weakened for Sneasel before it starts setting up. Wallbreakers such as Virizion are ideal for this role. Spikes setters and Rocky Helmet users such as Garbodor and Druddigon are also ideal for dealing chip damage to Choice Scarf users such as Passimian and Togedemaru, ideally putting them into range of Sneasel's +2 Ice Shard before it starts setting up.

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Band gives Sneasel a good amount of raw power to spam its STAB moves. Low Kick provides coverage for various Pokemon that would take longer for Sneasel to wear down, such as Regirock and Silvally-Steel. Similarly to its Swords Dance set, Sneasel has difficulty hard switching in and is therefore best brought in as a revenge killer or through pivots such as Lanturn and defensive Mesprit. Because full control over the entry hazard game is difficult, Sneasel will either want very effective entry hazard removers or setters. Capable entry hazard removers such as Silvally-Fairy and Whimsicott give Sneasel more chances to wallbreak and are better for teams that can bring it in more frequently. Tsareena is an effective Rapid Spin user in some matchups and also a powerful wallbreaker in its own right, capable of wearing down many defensive Pokemon such as Talonflame and Weezing in conjuction with Sneasel and threatening Vaporeon, which Sneasel cannot handle well. Entry hazard setters such as Omastar and Qwilfish make Sneasel more devastating each time it comes in but tend to also allow Stealth Rock on Sneasel's side of the field, limiting its switch-ins. Sweepers and cleaners such as Quiver Dance Ribombee and Trick Room Alolan Exeggutor also make for good teammates, as they appreciate Sneasel's ability to deal heavy damage to opposing walls.

[OVERVIEW]
Sneasel is a large offensive threat in PU thanks to its high Speed and near-unresisted STAB combination. Its movepool furthers this, with both Knock of (Off) and Triple Axel being powerful options to help make up for Sneasel's lacking Attack stat. Sneasel's set (has) options also try to overcome this, boosting its Attack whether it be through Swords Dance or Choice Band. However, even then Sneasel (Despite this, it) can struggle to break through defensive walls like Weezing and Aromatisse. Sneasel's bulk is very low, meaning even (resisted attacks) moves from Pokemon it may try to switch into such as Uxie's U-turn and Vanilluxe's Blizzard does a lot of damage. It also doesn't help that Sneasel is very easily worn out (down) through means such as Stealth Rock if not running Heavy-Duty Boots and Rocky Helmet when using Triple Axel. Absol is another option for a Dark-type wallbreaker or sweeper with its higher Attack and stronger priority, however this is in return for much lower Speed and no secondary STAB.

Swords Dance lets Sneasel choose between serving as a wallbreaker or a sweeper. Due to Sneasel's weakness to Stealth Rock while being susceptible to all other hazards, Heavy-Duty Boots is the primary option for its held item. However, Life Orb can be used for an easier time sweeping at the drawback of making it more easily worn out, and Lum Berry gives Sneasel a one-time outing of being crippled by moves like Weezing and Jellicent's Will-O-Wisp. Sneasel rarely wants to hard switch in, so it is best brought in as a revenge killer or through slow pivots such as Silvally-Fairy and Uxie. Silvally-Fairy is also able to remove hazards while Uxie is able to set Stealth Rock up, and both can also check Fighting-types like Passimian, which can cause trouble for Sneasel. These Fighting-types, as well as defensive threats like Weezing and Silvally-Steel, should be taken out or greatly weakened for Sneasel before it starts setting up. (Passimian and Virizion can be listed as partners to help wear down Sneasel's checks, former offers momentum and breaks down Steel and Rock types, latter helps with Regirock and bulky Waters. A mention of pokemon that can get Sneasel in safely with Volt Switch or U-turn.) Similar applies for faster threats like Talonflame and Choice Scarf Rotom, who need to be at decently low HP before being in range of Sneasel's +2 Ice Shard. The best time for Sneasel to set up is when it is brought in against Pokemon it forces out such as Archeops and Alolan Exeggutor, although stay wary that both can OHKO Sneasel with the right prediction.

Choice Band gives Sneasel a good amount of raw power that it desires, being able to spam its STAB moves. Knock Off will be your most spammable option, as it can (helps) remove items like Weezing's Rocky Helmet, which would greatly weaken Sneasel if using Triple Axel, while also being more accurate. Low Kick provides coverage for various Pokemon that would wall Sneasel otherwise, such as Regirock and Silvally-Steel. Similar to its Swords Dance set, Sneasel has difficulty hard switching in and is therefore best brought in as a revenge killer or through slow pivots such as Lanturn and defensive Mesprit. Defensive Mesprit also offers Stealth Rock to help wear foes down, which can also be accomplished by other hazard setters such as Qwilfish and Palossand. (Passimian and Virizion mention in SD set can be applied here too) Setup sweepers such as Gallade and Quiver Dance Ribombee also make for good teammates, as they appreciate Sneasel's ability to wear opposing teams down and its Knock Off support. (add a mention of pokemon that can get Sneasel in safely with Volt Switch or U-turn. Hazard removal is also imperative for Sneasel to function properly.)

Its movepool includes Knock Off and Triple Axel as high power options that help make up for its lacking Attack stat. the first two sentences should be merged, n also mention some stuff that it outspeeds. otherwise there's not much point in mentioning the speed tier Sneasel can further attempt to overcome this weakness with Swords Dance or Choice Band, either way looking to maximize damage output. However, even with these options, Sneasel can struggle to break through defensive walls like Weezing and Aromatisse. Sneasel's bulk is very low, making it difficult to switch into even the most passive defensive Pokemon such as Palossand. Sneasel also faces competition from other fast revenge killers such as Archeops and Heliolisk, which have more switch-in opportunities and pivoting. i mean, no? like u can easily justify running both on the same team and i'd say it's actually a good archeops and heliolisk partner Nevertheless, nothing in the tier can rival Sneasel's combination of typing, Speed, and powerful STAB combination.

Sneasel will rarely have a completely safe time to set up, although a few very passive Pokemon such as Claydol also provide a good opportunity. the last two sentences are just usage tips. i'd rather have u mention how it rlly appreciates spikes from stuff like garbodor as it puts stuff like passimian in +2 ice shard range more easily

Sneasel also requires its own entry hazard removal from teammates such as Talonflame or Xatu.
