[SET COMMENTS]
Solgaleo is a good alternative Zacian-C check due to its good bulk, wide movepool, great typing and access to Teleport allowing it to pivot into teammates invalidating Gothitelle which poses a huge threat to other Zacian-C checks. Sunsteel Strike allows Solgaleo to hit prominent Fairy-type Pokemon like Zacian-C and Xerneas. Knock Off cripples Pokemon such as Ho-Oh, Yveltal, Necrozma-DM, Eternatus, and Zygarde-C that can switch into Solgaleo and force it out. Future Sight is an option over Knock Off but it removes Solgaleo's ability to cripple its checks by removing their items. Although, Future Sight along with Teleport is a great combination allowing Solgaleo to pivot into teammates such as Kyogre and Zacian-C while hitting their respective checks using Future Sight. Morning Sun is a reliable recovery move that helps Solgaleo in recovering from damage dealt. With Heavy-Duty Boots, Solgaleo reliably checks Assurance Zacian-C, which is capable of beating its checks. Full HP and Defense investment with ensures Zacian-C does not 2HKO Solgaleo with Close Combat. Relaxed nature is used with Future Sight to increase damage while Impish nature can be used for more Speed.

Solgaleo best fits on Balance and Bulky Offense teams due to it being able to check Zacian-C. Pokemon such as Yveltal and Tyranitar can check Calyrex-S that can OHKO Solgaleo with ease given a free switch. Tyranitar along with Bulky Dragon-types such as Eternatus and Defensive Zygarde-C can also check Ho-Oh which is a great threat to Solgaleo and also appreciate its ability to check Zacian-C and Xerneas. Defensive walls such as Lunala can check Physical Attackers such as Groudon, Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM, Zekrom, and Dragon Dance Zygarde-C that can use Solgaleo as a setup fodder. Necrozma-DM can also act as a secondary Zacian-C check while taking a slightly offensive role as Crunch on Zacian-C can 2HKO Solgaleo. Ho-Oh and Eternatus can force out Ferrothorn that can take advantage of Solgaleo being passive and set hazards and recover health using Leech Seed.

Other Options
=============
Solgaleo can run Earthquake in order to deal with Zekrom and Swords Dance Zacian-C better but reduces its utility as Pokemon such as Yveltal and Ho-Oh can easily check it. Utility Umbrella can be used when having Kyogre as a teammate for consistent Morning Sun recovery. However, Utility Umbrella variants are vulnerable to Assurance Zacian-C.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ho-Oh**: Ho-Oh is a great counter to Solgaleo as it can easily take hits from Solgaleo while being able to heavily damage it using Sacred Fire. However, it must be wary of losing Heavy-Duty Boots due to Knock Off making it vulnerable to Stealth Rock.

**Super Effective Moves**: Pokemon that carry Super effective moves such as Yveltal, Marshadow, Calyrex-S, Groudon and Eternatus pose a huge threat to Solgaleo and force it out while having an opportunity to set themselves up. However, Calyrex-S and Marshadow must be wary of Knock Off while switching as it can heavily damage them.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Bulky Pokemon such as Giratina, Zygarde-C, and Kyogre can easily switch into Solgaleo and while crippling it or its teammates with status. Kyogre in particular can limit Solgaleo's recovery due to its ability, Drizzle, making it easier for Zacian-C to break through. Dragon Dance Zygarde-C can also use Solgaleo as a setup fodder.
