Welcome one and all! Today we are about to get under way with the first Casual Contest on BBP! Many new trainers having to switch gears, going from battling on the field to dressing to impress on stage!

Starting with introductions, Toon and I will be both MC and the Novice Judge for this event as I'm also trying to get used to this format myself~ Judges along side me will be the wonderful Johanna herself, say hi to the crowd

"I don't need any introductions, Darling. As the Master judge, I want to see cutthroat competition! The drama, the passion, these are what I desire to see from these Divas on the stage today! I didn't fly all the way out from Sinnoh for nothing!"

" whew straight to the point aren't we? Well you hear it here first folks! Oh, ooks like our coordinators are all ready to showcase their performances so enough of me talking, Let us begin the unveiling round and see what our contestants has in store for us in this spectacular contest!"

A rising star by day and a dashing fighter by night, Gallblade the Dashing is taking the world's heart by storm.
A fighter, a lover and a performer, Galblade never fails to entertain on the stage or in the arena.

He disseapears when you blink,
Gallblade fades into the shadows as a substitute doll is thrown into the air

He slashes when you think,
The substitute is cut in half midair, with a rose being revealed inside it

And he reappears with a wink!
Gallblade lands, with the rose held on his mouth, winking at the audience. He then gives the rose to a lucky audience member.

"Ladies & gentlemen, esteemed judges, & venerable contestants in this grand spectacle, I proudly present to you the epitome of beauty & grace, Clarke the Primarina!"

♪ As the spotlight bathes Clarke in its luminous embrace, she glides onto the stage, her opalescent scales aglow, radiating an aura of sophistication & allure!! ♫

"Emerging from the depths of the majestic ocean clams, Clarke possesses a voice that can soothe tempests & enrapture the hearts of all fortunate enough to bask in her presence!! With each graceful stride, she traverses the stage, her movements a symphony of innate elegance & refinement!!"

♪ With a gaze that sparkles like the ocean's surface, Clarke addresses the audience, her melodious voice resonating like a celestial choir!! ♫

"Yet, Clarke is not merely a sight to behold; she is a virtuoso of unparalleled prowess!! With every ethereal note of her captivating aria, she conjures a tapestry of enchantment that transports souls to realms of wonder & reverie!!"

♪ As Clarke continues to weave her enchantment, she ensnares the audience with her ethereal presence, leaving them spellbound!! ♫

♪ With a graceful bow, Clarke bids the audience with a radiant smile, eagerly anticipating her next performance to captivate hearts anew!! ♫​

"Come on, Nanachi, we can't keep them waiting!"
"Fine, fine, I'll do it!"


I arrive on stage, Nanachi on my arm, poised to jump off. At the signal, she jumps into the air and lands perfectly on their feet!

"Go for the Photosynthesis Special!"
Nanachi starts executing a series of long leaps. Whenever her paws touch the ground, a bit of grass and flowers sprouts up, leaving a trail of greenery behind her.
"Hup! Hup!"
She dashes left and right, leaping and doing flips in the light of the projectors.

"Make them go awwww!"
Nanachi starts running in a circle, making more and more grass appear until a perfect circle of meadow is on stage! Nanachi plays with a flower or two before curling up and seemingly taking a nap, a breeze making her leafy pelt gently sway. The scene, given the stage lighting, looks straight out of a painting.

*claps*
She straightens up and slowly struts back towards me, and climbs on my shoulder again. We salute before exiting the stage as the grass fades away!

"I get to rest now, right?"

"No."
"Curses."​

"Such lovely introductions from our coordinators today! Now in showbiz, we like to save the best for last. So we ask you- yes you! To vote in the polls to see which idol will get ahead of the race to stardom!"

"Each coordinator has such a strong bond with their partner, it's so hard for me to choose!! Which coordinator resonated with you the most Fantina?"

"Ohohoho~ We should let the crowd choose before I spoil the surprise, non?"

As I stood on stage, the weight of defeat hung heavily in the air!! But like a phoenix rising from the ashes of disappointment, I wasn't ready to surrender just yet!! With a flourish, I called upon our trusty partner, Clarke, only to find the majestic Pokémon... snoring?!

"Clarke, it isn't nap time, it's showtime!!"

*Panic began creeping into my voice as Clarke continued to snooze, oblivious to the impending disaster!!*

(Frantically, after multiple attempts to rouse Clarke from her slumber, resorting to a cacophony of bizarre noises and wild gesticulations, Clarke still remained undisturbed, probably lost in dreams of underwater serenades!! As my desperation reached its peak, a chorus of boos echoed through the venue, confirming my worst fears: the audience was less than impressed by the impromptu nap time performance!! With a sigh of resignation, I realized that winning hearts might require a bit more finesse than what I initially thought!! SO HERE WE GOOOO......)

In the dark, two spotlights!
Swords and substitutes go flying! Gallblade reapears!
A leap! A sword catched in his mouth as he kicks the other two,
slashing the substitute wide open as he lands! Fazzie throws a sub to Gallblade;
he smirks and then throws it upward - as it reaches the apex of the throw the
swords fall down, cutting it exactly in 4 pieces, in an X shape!

Gallblade bows, with a smile.​

"Can't get left behind!"

While Nanachi walks on stage, an invisible breeze seems to blow... With it, a lovely chime echoes around the hall... it's soothing and melancholic. It tells of tragedies past and hopes to come.
Suddenly, Nanachi lunges forward, her head leaf slicing through the wind!
The chime stops as she lands on stage again with a proud huff.
"Well? How's THAT for a show-grabber?"

[Clarke begins the performance, executing her moves with precision!! As the routine progresses, you notice Primarina starting to get emotional!!]

[She continues to act out the gut-wrenching sob story, in the form of a beautiful opera, occasionally glancing at you for reassurance!! Her powerful performance left the audience & the judges drained, yet marveled!! Even Fazzie's Gallblade is crying at the moment!!]

"WOOOW!!! Gallblade's performance from beginning to end had me at the edge of my seat! Gallades are known for their chivalry and swordsmanship, but Fazzle really made their Gallade dazzle in the spotlight this round! dontcha agree Johanna? dontcha dontcha???"

"Couldn't agree with ya more~ Personally taken a liking to Nanachi's performance. The way she was able to silence the crowd with her entrance alone, and the timing of her landing with the bells is such a delicate touch. Reminds me of my contests days with my Umbreon..<3"

"Hmph, Although my co-judges are easily swayed, I am still not entertained. The performances were decent at most....but I will give credit where credit is due: I almost broke a tear in the middle of Clarke's opera.
