Randbats Spotlight Tournament
Welcome to the tenth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Gen 9 Bring 12-Pick 6 Shared Power Random Battle format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Gen 9 Bring 12-Pick 6 Shared Power Random Battle (long name, isn't it?) in a single elimination best-of-3 series.
What is Gen 9 Bring 12-Pick 6 Shared Power Random Battle?
There are 12 pokemon on team preview and 6 to bring into battle. Shared Power is here to spice things up, so that every time a pokemon gets switched out, the next ones will receive its ability alongside their standard one. Pick wisely to create the best pokemon, stack the best abilities and break the opponent's team! Or, on the contrary, build the most impenetrable team with Multiscale, Unaware etc. stacked together
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “[Gen 9] Shared Power RandBats (Bring 12 Pick 6)”. This format can be found under 'Randomized Format Spotlight', at the top of the third column. Alternatively, use /challenge [Gen 9] Shared Power RandBats (Bring 12 Pick 6). You can also run the entire series and keep track of the results of each game with /challenge [Gen 9] Shared Power RandBats (Bring 12 Pick 6)@@@bestof=3
3. The first player to 2 wins advances to the next round.
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before November 2024. This will determine the pace of the tournament. For this reason, extensions will generally NOT be granted.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
