Good day, everyone! Welcome to the fourth iteration of the SS Camomons Tournament: the final installation of the Smogon-sanctioned Camomons tours in Sword and Shield before transitioning to the Scarlet/Violet one. This is the first (hopefully, of many) tournament that we are handing out a cash prize of $50 to the winner! This tournament is based off [Gen 8] Camomons and should be played on the main server. I hope everyone has a fun time and enjoys themselves playing this once great metagame now revitalized!

Since Camomons doesn't have any other platform other than this tournament to extract data and test matches with, the host has envisioned to change the tournament format unlike in the past, and this is making five weeks of Swiss qualifiers such that everyone, new and seasoned players alike, gets themselves exposed to the metagame, with people who are in the Top 8 of the qualifying round will advance to the single-elimination playoff format.

Here are the tournament rules that everyone must follow:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • The banlist for this tournament is the same as the Camomons format of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Showdown, and can be found here.
  • All rounds, whether in the Qualifying Swiss Rounds or Single-Elimination Playoff, will be in a Best-of-Three series, and will last for seven days.
    • In case of the Qualifying Swiss Rounds, I encourage everyone to play even despite having a not-so-appealing record, as the more games played in this tournament, the better the council will have a clear picture of the metagame and possible tiering actions taking place.
    • In any case a participant opts to drop out of the tournament due to their unappealing record, there will be substitutes taking place; however, the substituted participant has to continue where the dropped participant left off (the record will carry).
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown! main server.
  • Replays must be posted alongside the result. The tournament host reserves the right to deny the results of a series if replays are not included.
  • Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
So, what are you guys waiting for? Again, $50 is at stake, so sign up early! Sign-ups will end on Sunday, 4th of September, 11:00 PM GMT -4, or when 64 (or 128) players are reached, whichever is earlier!
