I decided to go with Fling + Salac Berry Zeraora. Zeraora threatens the two main redirectors in the tier, Togekiss and Blastoise, which helps you pull off a Fling to one of your Weakness Policy mons. Baton Pass Dragapult and Necrozma were my Policy mons of choice. Dragapult is typically able to survive its Dynamax turns and with Clear Body it can keep its boosts intact before it passes them off to a teammate in waiting, usually Kyurem, Melmetal or sometimes Necrozma. You also have the option of using Baton Pass immediately if you want to Dynamax with something else. Dragapult can also sit next to Dynamaxed Necrozma or Melmetal and accumulate Steelspike/Quake boosts to pass out to one of the other members of the team. Assault Vest Kyurem is a decent check to Trick Room and is a good recipient for Dragapult's Baton Pass. Kyurem is similar to Kommo-o in that they are mediocre mons with excellent stats that become good when those stats get boosted even further. Substitute Melmetal is another good recipient for the boosts. With Max Steelspike boosts from Dragapult or Quake boosts from Necrozma its Substitute can be quite difficult to break. Will-o-Wisp Incineroar helps keep Melmetal in check, which could otherwise be a problem if you aren't able to get a Policy boost.

calling it here, Qwello Lee wins! Their team will be added to the OP shortly.

From here on out, we're going to make things a bit more challenging than just building around a Pokemon. For week 9: Tier 1 Pokemon in the VR are not allowed.

Teams may NOT contain the following Pokemon:

Dragapult
Gothitelle
Incineroar
Melmetal
Togekiss
Whimsicott

Have fun! Building ends Friday at 9 pm EST.

4 possible Gmaxes which are all super annoying to deal with on their own thrown into a single team to maximize the fun. Sunroom is broke. Double sleep is broke. Hard tork and sleep the exca against sand. Gmax whatever you think can maximize the fun otherwise. Thick Fat lax is for sun. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Started out with Weezing, which I've been wanting to try out and never have. Neutralizing Gas is a fascinating ability and this team makes pretty good use of it. Electroweb Zeraora (can you tell I really like that set) is able to slow down Dragapult, Kyurem outspeeds and OHKOes Venusaur thanks to blocking Chlorophyll, Terrakion is saved from Intimidate, etc. Ran Toxic Spikes because the only relevant poison is Venu, and EBelt Sub Kyurem does really well against a lot of the meta. EBelt-boosted Max Quake OHKOes Melmetal a lot of the time, and you can stall out some turns for poison chip to rack up. Bulk Up Corviknight also likes having things slowly chipped. Terrakion adds more chip + a fast rock move for Zard. Arcanine sorta rounds things out with stat dropping, Wisp spreading, AA Melmetal beating, and Roar to phaze TR setters which helps a lot with that matchup. It's not a perfect team, no team with 0 mons from Tiers 1 + 2 is going to be, but it definitely works and it's a lot of fun to use.]

I'm of the opinion the necro is tier 1 worthy but since its not ranked as such I decided to have some fun building around it with the given stipulation. Necro+self wp proc is so good, its able to find openings stupidly easy to just tear opposing teams apart. The grimm set is a personal favorite of mine, screens+set up(especially necro) is just so deadly, and the extra form of fishing(we could call it speed control but who would I be kidding) adds an extra layer of fun to the team when necro doesnt have psy terrain active. Snorlax was added mostly because it was talked about on discord recently and it sounded cool as a sun check so I wanted to try it. The given set does its best to be a hard cteam vs sun and/or tr centered teams, and is the max option of choice vs those types of strategies. Its worth noting that in any other matchup it is a liability and mostly just sack fodder. Dmax>gmax because I have goggles instead of a berry and speed drop is better than literally nothing. Toise was added because its positional capabilities+ability to redirect melm seemed quite useful here. Corv was added in the last slot as something that could also take advantage of screens and force opponents to react to it, while also hitting a lot of defensive checkmarks that made it look extra appealing given the lack of ability to use melm for this challenge.

:chandelure::mew::blastoise::decidueye::haxorus::hydreigon:

Team with two different paces, depending on the situation you may want to set up trick room with mew, or use water and grass pledge to quarter the opponents speed,allowing the selection of insanely powerful, albeit of a mediocre speed pokemon, to reck havoc. Note, the original team had incineroar instead of mew, if you were going to use this team for real keep in mind that you might want to consider using him instead as the team is more frail without him (he ain't tier 1 for nothing),even though that is besides the point for the competition.
