- Nasty Plot
Nasty Plot Tornadus-T is a potent attacker that takes advantage of its high Special Attack and excellent Speed to be a powerful wallbreaker or sweeper. Hurricane is Tornadus-T's strongest STAB move and hits neutral targets such as Clefable and Landorus-T for massive damage, especially after a boost. Focus Blast greatly threatens the likes of Tyranitar and Heatran, in addition to 2HKOing would-be checks like Blissey and Rotom-W at +2. Heat Wave quickly dispatches Ferrothorn and hits Corviknight for heavy damage. Alternatively, Weather Ball can be considered as an option on weather teams that allows Tornadus-T to OHKO the likes of Landorus-T with rain or hail up, as well as threatening Zapdos in hail, whereas Knock Off allows Tornadus-T to support its team throughout the game even if it isn't in a position to set up and sweep.
Nasty Plot Tornadus-T typically finds itself on balance and bulky offense teams because of its versatility and wallbreaking prowess, as well as teams that appreciate its ability to check Grass-types like Rillaboom. Tornadus-T enjoys pairing up with other wallbreakers such as Kartana and Melmetal, allowing them to overwhelm their shared checks such as Zapdos. Ground-types such as Garchomp and Landorus-T are also much-appreciated teammates for Tornadus-T, as they provide it with safe switch-ins to Rock- and Electric-types like Tyranitar and Tapu Koko. In return, Tornadus-T can act as a check to Buzzwole, which is otherwise capable of overwhelming Garchomp and Landorus-T. Ferrothorn is another fantastic teammate, as it provides Tornadus-T with a safe switch-in to Tapu Koko, can lay down entry hazards that steadily chip at defensive switch-ins such as specially defensive Toxapex and can provide Knock Off support to cripple the likes of Zapdos on the switch. Tornadus-T also appreciates partnering with Heatran, as it can remove special walls like Blissey, Toxapex, and Galarian Slowking that would otherwise impede Tornadus-T's progress, while Tornadus-T provides Heatran with a check to Ground- and Fighting-types such as Landorus-T and Urshifu-R.
