Project SS NU Boss of the Sauce: Season 2: The Revival and Rebrand @ #264

Still a few hours left to go but I think I'm done laddering for today

Very fun to do, both building wise and playing wise. At the beginning of the week I played a few (8) games with an illegal team consisting of Guzzlord and whatnot, but to be fair the current rules weren't yet set. Aside from those games, I mostly played HO. I'll go more in depth below.

:froslass::passimian::toxicroak::rotom-mow::braviary::inteleon:

Some fun HO. It's not anything super special, and is essentially just 5 mons slapped together on a team + a hazard setter. The team actually was supposed to be a bulky balance but midway through building something happened so here we are. Froslass is the hazard setter for this team, because I realized after adding my red and blue components that I didn't have a hazard setter. Thus, Froslass was my choice. It has a decent speed tier and is able to threaten Xatu which I found pretty appealing. Braviary and Passimian serve as defog deterrent, with Braviary being scarf to act as speed control. Originally it had Tyrantrum over Braviary but I couldn't let Passimian be my defog deterrent (doesn't beat any of them). Inteleon is here to lure Vaporeon into one of my sweepers, such as Rotom or Toxicroak. Also destroys Starmie which this team does not like, specifically utility bs. Passimian's set is highly questionable I know, but it actually ended up working fine. It's able to lure things like Sylveon and whatnot which is super helpful and is also able to outspeed and check ghosts.

WHITE = :froslass: :passimian:

Another HO team. I used this during the beginning stages but realized quickly that it was not gonna work lmao. I used it for around like 20~ games, was lazy to build another team. The idea was to utilize Inteleon's fast speed and blue color to set up screens for my abusers. The idea was that after Frosmoth and Kingdra get going and die, they're able to lure or weaken checks to the others. Such as luring Zong to be setup bait for Glastrier/Turtonator/ Talonflame. In practice however, it did not work out that well. The whole team basically has unmons so would not recommend it, but was overall very fun.

I'd say the most 'creative' set from this week was definitely the Passimian set.

:ss/passimian:
Passimian @ Expert Belt
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Gunk Shot
- Bulk Up
- Knock Off

This set was able to lure fairies on the switch, helping the other sweepers on my team. Its speed tier and overall decent bulk allowed it to offensively deal with Ghosts and survive a few hits thanks to Bulk Up. Overall nothing too special but is the most creative set I was able to come up with.

Forgot to do this last night, but get ready for a team similar to Turtdog's

The team is a sort of Balance that is more geared towards offense, but not HO. I have Froslass as my lead, which is my "creative set", it helps take down common rockers like Copper, Zong, and Diancie due to Destiny Bond. It is also fast enough to Taunt the slow setup sweepers, hazard setters, and the little shits like Vaporeon and Sylveon.

Overall the team did well, I just didn't get to ladder much. Having no real switch-in for Specs Sylveon, Exploud, or Copper isn't too great. It does do well otherwise. I also learned that Toxicroak really does do really well now.

Also, why is Rotom-C red? There is not a single red pixel on it.
