Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Roost
- Toxic
- Brave Bird

Talon makes a fantastic VoltTurn core with Mowtom, able to take take on those Fire/Bug moves, such as First Impression Fetch'd, reliably while also heavily appreciating every resist that Mowtom applies to it, such as a Water and Electric moves. Baiting in Vaporeon is really nice for Mowtom too, since you can Toxic it so it can't stall out your Scarf Mowtom or just U-turn out, giving you a free Defog/Volt/NP. Fun af partner.

Tyrantrum @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Dragon Claw
- Close Combat
- Crunch

Rotom-C and Tyrantrum have great role & typing synergy. Rotom-C is able to check the best answer against Tyrantrum in Mudsdale and can Volt Switch on potential switchins like Dragalge and Guzzlord, bringing Tyrantrum in to break. Furthermore, together they can overwhelm (if predicted right) shared checks like Flygon.
Its the basic synergy in strong wallbreaker + best pivot in the tier, you can't really go wrong with this.

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Flamethrower
- Sludge Wave
- Dragon Pulse
- Nasty Plot

Pretty much good synergy between the two. Lazzle appreciates Mowtom's ability to switch in to ground type moves, and be able to check water types. NP Salazzle helps Mowtom by doing super effective against Guzzlord, who checks Mowtom. Flamethrower and Sludge Wave are good STAB moves and does well with Mowtom weakning mons enough for Lazzle to clean late-game.

Carbink Diancie @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press
- Heal Bell / Moonblast
- Diamond Storm

They do resemble an evolutionary line, don't they? Jokes aside, Diancie synergizes extremely well with Rotom-Mow. They cover each other's weaknesses, with Rotom taking care of pesky Water-, Ground- and Steel-types for the diamond thanks to its typing and Diancie removing Fire-, Bug-, Dragon- and, to a lesser extent, Poison-types out of the way for the lawn mower thanks to its phenomenal defensive typing, stats and ability to break through teams with Diamond Storm + Body Press.
Furthermore, those pokémon together fit both Defog and Stealth Rock on a team within a two-pokémon core and Diancie's access to Heal Bell makes her an absolutely amazing companion to Rotom, who appreciates switching repeatedly into Scalds from the likes of Vaporeon and Mantine. Overall, a very solid defensive structure.
Alternatively to the spread above, a faster version with 252 HP / 132+ Def / 124 Spe can be used to outpace Vaporeon for more chip damage on Vaporeon-weak builds, and an even faster 252 HP / 92+ Def / 164 Spe version can be used to break through Mantine with more ease. It is slightly costy to Diancie's bulk tho, so keep that in mind.

Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

Neat wallbreaking partner for Mowtom. Starmie can take advantage of Mowtom's pivoting and deal with stuff like Dragalge, Arcanine, Salazzle, and Vileplume too. These two also start a Grass-Fire-Water core for what it's worth as well. One of the coverage moves can be removed in favor of something like Recover to offset Life Orb recoil and such, but overall, Starmie is a heavy hitter with Analytic on its side!

Alright, as I've mentioned several times, in the event that I do have the most points at the end of a given 10-week session, I am NOT awarding Top Cupid to myself EVER! I would award it to the next person down the list. In this case, that is.......................

Corthius

Alright guys and girls, it's been almost 2 months since this project has been active due to NUPL and IRL stuff, but we're back! So, let's kick off this next 10-week run of Matchmaking with...................

:ss/copperajah:
Copperajah @ Leftovers
Ability: Heavy Metal
EVs: 156 HP / 16 Atk / 252 SpD / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Heavy Slam
- Power Whip
- Heat Crash

Agent Capper Raj has by far become NU's biggest Stealth Rock user and for good reason. Easily a switch in to Fairies and Psychics, it uses its variety of coverage moves to throw opposing teams off-guard. Some people run Stone Edge, others run EQ or Superpower to hit other things. What do you guys think pairs well with the metalphant?

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
Not as overprepared for like Vaporeon, Sylveon still makes for a cool clearic and wish supporter on a team. It can switch into Fighting types like Sirfetch'd that come in versus Copperjah and threaten it out. It can also keep it healthy via Wish and heals burnes from potential Flame Body.
A pretty self-explanatory partner, but a really good one.

vaporeon (the other eevee)

:bw/vaporeon:
Vaporeon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic

Vaporeon is a good teammates to Copperajah es it can fend of many Pokemon, which Copperajah dislikes, such as Salazzle, Arcanine, Talonflame, and Blastoise. In the case of the former three it can help Copperajah with its great defensive typing to stomach hits from them, in the case of the latter it can help Copperajah to fend off Blastoise and it can help versus Blastoise with its water absorb ability and the natural great special bulk. Copperajah can help Vaporeon against grass-types such as Celebi, as Vaporeon dislikes Celebi entirely. And with Stealth Rock up and Vaporeons Toxic they're able to dismantle teams pretty quickly and turn down long lasting longevity pretty reliable. in overall both are extremely good partners on bulkier teams and they can help each other out versus common Pokemon in the metagame.

Braviary (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Substitute
- Brave Bird
- Roost

Braviary can come in and setup on bronzong. It has enough speed to outspeed adamnt machamp. Braviary can also setup in front of the common fire types if they dont have willowisp. Copper helps out braviary with rock-types.

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Close Combat
- Knock Off

Sirfetch'd really appreciates Copperajah for being able to handle fairy and psychic types. Sirfetchd can take care of Pokemon like Guzzlord, who can check Copperajah. The set allows you to help weaken Pokemon for Copperajah and even finish off Pokemon Copperajah has weakened.

Vileplume
Ability: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Strength Sap
- Growth

Vileplume is a great pairing with Copperajah due to its resistances and good matchups against many top Pokemon that Copper dislikes. Vileplume helps aid against the fighters, the poltergeist users, ground types, waters, and more. This set here allows it to act as a bulky wincon, being extremely deadly towards unprepared teams. With itemless to better defend against ghost types. The two are weak to Salazzle and offensive fires, so adding something like a Vaporeon or Mantine could work well.

Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Def / 208 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz / Brave Bird
- Toxic / Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt / U-turn / Defog
- Roost

talon and copper are a great pair together. talon takes on the fighting-, fire-, and ground-type attacks for copper, many of which hit on your weaker physical side like cc, blitz, and eq. flame body is great for fishing for burns versus physical moves, which then help copper sponge attacks later on. copper's steel typing allows it to take some weaker rock-type attacks for talon, namely diamond storm or power gem from diancie, and it can subsequently threaten it out with heavy slam. the provided copper set struggles greatly with fire-types like arcanine and salazzle, and talon can act as a decent check to these with its insanely high speed tier and utility options. inversely, talon gets threatened out vs bulky waters like vaporeon, which copper can take advantage of with power whip. together, the two resist bug-, fairy-, and grass-type attacks, which can help when filling out the rest of the team
