With Electric or Grassy terrain also lures Slowbro and Slowking.
With Electric Terrain, also lures Torn-t, Toxapex, Pelipper, Moltres.

The goal of a mixed-attacker Jirachi is to lure in switchins to Iron Head, then hit them with super-effective coverage, which the chip damage from Iron Head may put them into KO range of. Against Urshifu, the move of choice is Thunderbolt, which can KO after hazards and Iron Head chip. Expanding Force is an alternative that 1HKOs Urshifu from full, with or without Psychic Terrain, but loses out on some important targets compared to Thunderbolt.

Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Leech Seed / Thunder Wave
- Spikes / Stealth Rock

CB Urshifu-Rapid-Strike usually OHKOs Ferrothorn with Close Combat and is able to bypass Protect so it's impossible to scout what Urshifu will do. Chople Berry allows Ferrothorn to survive a Close Combat and OHKO with Power Whip after Urshifu gets it's defenses dropped. You can Thunder Wave as well but it doesn't immediately disable Urshifu as a threat since it hits things just as hard when paralysed.

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Stone Edge / Swords Dance
- Rock Polish

Rapid Strike Urshifu is the textbook example of an offensive switch in to Landorus. Surging strikes doesn't care about intimidate, it outspeeds and OHKOs Landorus easily, and the most the standard Landorus set can do is set up rocks or u turn out. It could knock off, but even without choice band, Urshifu still OHKOs spdef Lando and leaves physically defensive Lando with just a slither of hp. So Urshifu comes into Landorus while you set up a rock polish. The opponent just assumes it's a random gimmick before you retaliate with a normal gem boosted explosion. This lure works best in hyper offense teams that don't care about Landorus' defensive utility and just want a hard hitter to remove walls and priority users that would ruin your sweep.

Not including urshifu's surging strikes damage because you'd rock polish on the switch anyways + we all know surging strikes OHKOs

Volcanion is a great rain check. It's immune to flip turn from Barraskewda, Ferrothorn can't switch in like it normally can with other Barraskewda switch-ins and it's not like rain's other mons can switch in either. Even Pelipper gets 2HKO'd by steam eruption. It's main flaw is if the opponent gets one good read, Zapdos and Thundurus just come in and murder it. Wacan Berry Volcanion can take a hit from both of them and OHKO it with steam eruption, using their own rain against them. Modest is able to OHKO Zapdos from full hp and obviously kill Thundurus as well. Fire Spin is for trapping walls like Galarian Slowking, Tapu Fini, Slowbro, etc while sludge wave is for fairy types like Clefable or Tapu Fini. Overall, Wacan berry makes Volcanion an even better rain check than it already was. Zapdos being gone makes grass types more confident in switching in to crumble the rest of rain's offensive mons.

Saw this in a youtube video a while back. This set's sole purpose is to straight up remove Zapdos from the game and what better bait than the one pokemon who normally makes your life a living hell

+2 252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hyper Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 317-374 (98.7 - 116.5%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

It's not a guaranteed one shot but the possible damage amounts has 317 as the lowest and Zapdos has 321 hp. This means that unless you have royally pissed off the rng gods, you should be able to kill Zapdos

The sample utility Zapdos has more chance to survive.

+2 252 SpA Tornadus Hyper Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 347-409 (90.6 - 106.7%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

In the video Freeza used a life orb because he wanted to make sure it would kill.

Yours work with this round's set so it's fine

Literally any amount of chip will allow Buzzwole to OHKO Zapdos. If Zapdos switches into a Stone Edge, you're in a very good position and press it one more time because they don't suspect Choice Scarf.

252+ Atk Buzzwole Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zapdos: 288-340 (89.7 - 105.9%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Reserving Wacan berry Volcanion

Anti-Rain Volcanion

:ss/volcanion:

:volcanion:Volcanion @ Wacan Berry :wacan-berry:
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Steam Eruption
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave / Fire Spin
