A very customizable Slowking set, it's main purpose is luring both Garchomp and Landorus-Therian, it can do so by either running the role of a breaker with NP + 3 attacks or a wincon with NP + Slack Off + 2 attacks. With a large amount of physdef, it also lures Weavile, not being able to ohko from full unless it's LO or banded.
SpA EV's are to ohko weavile at +2 with sludge bomb while also guaranteeing the kill on no HP garchomp, but can definitely be tweaked.

If Zeraora can knock off Garchomp at one point and then lure it in a second time, it can bulk up on that second switch and kill Garchomp with a play rough

252 Atk Zeraora Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 100-118 (28 - 33%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
+1 252 Atk Zeraora Play Rough vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 276-326 (77.3 - 91.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ferrothorn could prove to be an issue because you get walled by it so make sure you have a teammate to deal with it. On the other hand, if you have teammates that can deal chip down Garchomp such as a Heatran magma miss, then you can forgo knock off and use close combat instead. That's probably the best option as the above set is just a worse case scenario against Garchomp

Timid Nature
-
Ice Beam
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower
- Earth Power / Sludge Wave
- Thunderbolt

A certified ladder demon, Nidoking’s formidable coverage can make it tough to find a safe switch in. The vast majority of Nidos elect to run Life Orb :Life Orb: dual STAB with Fire Blast for :Ferrothorn: and Thunderbolt for those annoying bulky waters :Slowbro:/:Urshifu-Rapid-Strike:. Sash Ice Beam is a fun ladder tech used to anti-lead or lure Lando-T :Landorus-Therian:, which I figure works here just as well. Fire Blast is still mandatory for :Ferrothorn:, as is Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, this leaves Nidoking in a tight spot for coverage – running Earth Power lets you hit :Slowking-Galar:/:Toxapex:/:Heatran:, while missing Sludge Wave leaves you even more vulnerable to :Clefable: / :Tapu Lele:. Ultimately, I think Earth Power deserves the spot over Sludge Wave, though this is obviously not set in stone. Finally, Shuca Berry :Shuca Berry: can be run over FS :Focus Sash: for a similar purpose, especially if you’re looking to lure Lando :Landorus-Therian:, or if your team struggles to keep rocks off the field, at the cost of not being able to touch Garchomp :Garchomp: at+2.

Its important to note that a Modest Nature is necessary if you're looking to lure and OHKO Spdef Lando-T as well; this thread is about luring Garchomp, so these calc's are done with a Timid Nature in mind.

I originally was gonna submit Blissey instead of Chansey but I found out that Chansey is a much better lure since banded Kartana is still able to OHKO Blissey. Chansey is able to take a hit from every Kartana set and OHKO it back with Flamethrower. The standard Blissey and Chansey sets can't even touch Kartana. If a team has Kartana in it, they'll probably use it as their main Blissey / Chansey switch in (especially in the hyper offense teams swords dance kartana is normally used in).
What makes Chansey even better as a Kartana lure is that it has more than enough hp to spare that you can still tank a few more special attacks before dying. Use soft boiled once or twice and you're good as new. You don't even have to lose a team member.

But on a more serious note, can we start submitting sets that also do well in the metagame instead of just luring one mon?

So for Buzzwole people don’t just submit mons with flying moves that they’ll never use.

If you don’t submit something viable at least submit something funny like flamethrower Chansey.
