Hello guys, we back, was busy yesterday so I am sorry for the delay and without further addo, lets see who won:
The winners of this week are:
Rocky Helmet Corviknight by Ray713
HDB Knock Off Yveltal by Flatemo

seems like bird was the word here, gratz guys! :)

Onto our next Pokemon, an electri-terrifying Dragon Dance Pokemon, in recent Ubers it wasn't that great and only fullfilled a niche, but in this gens Ubers it is one of the dominant Pokemon in the metagame:

:ss/zekrom:
Zekrom @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance

- Bolt Strike
- Dragon Claw

- Roost

Zekrom is one of the dominant Pokemon in this generation of Uber, with a great dual STAB coverage in Bolt Strike and Dragon Calw which both are very hard to switch into after a boost by Dragon Dance it can tear teams apart. Zekrom is one of the best wallbreakers in the tier due to those tools. Roost gives it longevity and makes it a long-lasting breaker. However, Zekrom still fears faster threats, such as Choice Scarf Yveltal and it also dislikes bulky Pokemon such as Groudon, Ferrothorn, and Tangrowth. It also dislikes the presence from Lunala, as this Pokemon is able to withstand one hit and retaliate with a Will-O-Wisp. How can you help Zekrom out in these scenarios? Lets find out what good pairings are!

Deadline for submissions ends on Friday - Good luck beautiful people! :blobwizard:

:ss/calyrex-ice:
Calyrex-Ice @ Weakness Policy/Life Orb
Ability: As One (Glastrier)
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Glacial Lance
- High Horsepower
- Crunch
- Trick Room

Calyrex-Ice offers a great double physical core overwhelming Physical walls. Calyrex Ice is able to beat Ferrothorn, Groudon, Necrozma Dusk Mane, and Lunala with Crunch. I could've used the Choice Band set but since Scarfers are a problem, Trick Room flips the speed letting it outspeed almost everything. Calyrex's bulk is also really good letting it take hits from defensive pokemon like Eternatus and Necrozma Dusk Mane and in combination with that, it can abuse its high bulk and increase its attack stat to higher amounts. Zekrom also helps Calyrex Ice by chipping Necrozma-Dusk Mane into Crunch range or lures in its checks like Tangrowth, double switching into Calyrex, and giving Caly a free setup opportunity.

reserving darmanitan galar
:xy/darmanitan-galar:
Darmanitan-Galar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Gorilla Tactics
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Icicle Crash
- Lash Out / Earthquake
- Rock Slide / Flare Blitz

I believe this icy gorilla is the prime partner for zekrom, as it makes up for what the bolting dragon craves the most: speed control and momentum. In fact, with his spectacular 475 speed, darmanitan is able to outspeed and OHKO threats such as calyrex-s, eternatus and non-jolly scarf yveltal. Additionally, stab icicle crash gives a hard time to grass and ground physical walls who are able to stop zekrom, such as tangrowth or groudon, while u-turn or lash out can take care of defensive lunala. But the most important thing that darmanitan offers to zekrom is momentum: a well timed u-turn can give zekrom a free turn to set up dragon dance which in many cases means the game's over

reserving groudon
Groudon is a great partner for zekrom as it shares most of their checks. Groudon + zekrom easily destroy YEN cores. Groudon can paralyze Lunala with t wave making the path for zekrom to sweep or run a fire move to weaken Ferrothorn/Tangrowth and again make path for zekrom to sweep.
It can also set-up stealth rock to chip zekrom switch ins

Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock / Overheat / lava plume
- Thunder Wave
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
Stealth rock or fire move can be picked based on what your team needs. Overheat or lava plume is your choice one deals more damage but you can't use it again (too weak after special attack drop) or the other with no such effects but can burn the opposing mon.
Calcs:
0- SpA Groudon Overheat vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tangrowth in Sun: 432-510 (106.9 - 126.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0- SpA Groudon Overheat vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn in Sun: 328-388 (93.1 - 110.2%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
0- SpA Groudon Overheat vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn in Sun: 448-528 (127.2 - 150%) -- guaranteed OHKO
With lava plume:
0- SpA Groudon Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn in Sun: 276-328 (78.4 - 93.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0- SpA Groudon Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn in Sun: 204-244 (57.9 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0- SpA Groudon Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tangrowth in Sun: 266-314 (65.8 - 77.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

reseving Marshadow

:ss/Marshadow:
Marshadow @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Close Combat
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak

Marshadow shares similar checks from Zekrom, such as Landorus-T, Groudon and Tangrowth, meaning that it can weaken these pokemon so Zekrom can sweep in the late game. Groudon and Landorus-T also don't have a reliable recovery making it even better for Zekrom. Marshadow can also deal with pokemons that Zekrom can't deal well, like Lunala and Ferrothorn.

Reserving Ferrothorn

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Spikes
- Knock Off
Ferrothorn has been a viable and important mon ever since Zekrom's usage increased and not just because it checks Zekrom
  • You can lead with Ferrothorn against an Necrozma-DM and safely set up spikes, then switch to Calyrex or Yveltal (predicting an earthquake).
  • Knock Off is another great move to remove leftovers or life orb from the opposing Zekrom or predict a calyrex switching.
  • Stalling mons with leech seed and protect is also a way of recovery, it can chip in zekrom with Leech Seed, Protect and Iron barbs and then switch into excadrill predicting a bolt strike
  • After putting up leech seed, you can switch to your own zekrom, tank a bolt strike (then do a dragon dance) and then you can easily remove the zekrom, and after sneaking in a couple more Dragon Dance you can easily sweep the opponent team.
