Alright beautiful people, here are our Winners for Weeks 4 Pokemon Black Glasses :yveltal:

With 4 votes each:
:necrozma-dusk mane: by Eledyr
:eternatus: by FearNeverDies

Gratz you two, your submissions will go into the Hall of Fame! :blobwizard:

Now up to our Week 5 Pokemon, a fearsome Pokemon, which is also the force of nature and life, which is the Deer in Xerneas.

:ss/xerneas:
Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 168 Def / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Geomancy
- Substitute

- Thunder

With having Power Herb + Geomancy in its arsenal this deer can turn into a deadly late-game cleaner, as its STAB move in Moonblast is also further boosted by its ability in Fairy Aura making it a great tool to dismantle weakened teams rather easily. Thunder can hit Steel-types which Xerneas fears and wearing them down such as Necrozma-DM and the rather niche Heatran, Thunder can also pick off Ho-Oh. However Xerneas lack of coverage means it still needs support to do its job well. Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Blissey still stand in its way, the same mention goes to specially defensive Necrozma-DM, which all successfully trouble Xerneas. What are great partners for this deer, to solve those issues and to help it clean up late-game?

Submissions end on Saturday. Good Luck everyone! :blobwizard:

Groudon is able to kill of steel types like ferrothorn spdef NDM and special walls like Blissey which are the mons who annoy Xern the most and In a similar vein Xern also kills off mons like Zygarde,Lando-T and regular Girantina which are the mons that annoy groudon the most.

Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 8 HP / 248 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Body Press
- Iron Defense
- Magnet Rise
- Discharge

Lets go fishing!

Mag traps NDM fairly reliably, and Xerneas's other answers can be dealt with by customising the Xerneas set most of the time. This set will also trap random steel types if your opponent is using a banded Scizor locked into bullet punch or something equally not-used. It wont trap Solgaleo/Magearna, but those two barely exist anyway.

Reserving eternatus

Eternatus and Xerneas share the same checks, necrozma-dm and blissey. Together, one chips (in blissey's case stall out confide pp)
necrozma-dm/ Blissey allowing other to sweep later.
Eternatus @ Power Herb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dynamax Cannon
- Meteor beam
- Flamethrower
- Sludge Bomb

:ss/dracovish: (run aroma or focus blast over sub)

Dracovish is a good wall breaker that's able to switch into both Blissey and Necrozma Dusk Mane with its steel resistance. Xerneas can run Aromatherapy to help Dracovish switch into twaves from ndm and blissey. Dracovish can also lure Eternatus with dragon rush so its not permanently walled by it. GeoXern is usually seen in HO so aerodactyl is always the lead so Dracovish after a tailwind, guarantees at least one KO. If xern uses focus blast, it helps dracovish against ferrothorn

Clefable @ Sticky Barb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
- Soft-Boiled
- Trick

Clefable can Trick opposing Necrozma-DM giving it the Sticky Barb, making it easier for Xerneas to sweep in the late game. Clefable is a great cleric and can also check basically the same pokemon as Xerneas, this way Xerneas can be saved for later.

Reserving Ho Oh
:ss/Ho-Oh:

With the amazing typing Fire/Flying Ho Oh is an amazing parthener both offense and defense sides. Sacred fire and regenerator allow Ho Oh to pressure steel types and Blissey that want to check Xerneas. This two have a good synergy since they can beat there checks, named Zygarde and Giratina for Ho Oh and DM, Blissey and Ferrothorn for Xerneas.

Set:

Ho-Oh @ Choice Band
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 208 Atk / 52 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Brave Bird
- Earthquake
- Defog

ogre

:rs/kyogre:

Kyogre @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Spout
- Origin Pulse
- Blizzard
- Thunder

this breaks bulky shit for xerneas (etern, ferro, bliss, ndm, etc.) while xern helps against faster foes. ogre also switches into ndm. blizzard really dents eternatus.

Rayquaza @ Life Orb
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Ascent
- V-create
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed

Rayquaza helps Xerneas overwhelm NDM with V-create while both of them can use their absurd power on both attacking spectrums to break each other's checks. Ray can also clean teams weakened by Xern in the late game and both of them love screens support on HO teams.

Winners of this Week 5 with Partners to Power Herb + Geomancy :xerneas: are:

Magnezone by Aberforth
and Trick + Sticky Barb Clefable by Meminger21

Gratz you two, your submission will go in the Hall of Fame!

Now onto the next Pokemon for Week 6:

:ss/Mewtwo:
Mewtwo @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psystrike
- Nasty Plot
- Ice Beam

- Fire Blast

This Pokemon can be a great late-game cleaner with an incredible Speed tier and a great Special Attack and superb coverage options in Ice Beam and Fire Blast, this all in conjunction with its powerful STAB move in Psystrike and a boost due to Life Orb allows Mewtwo to severely weaken Pokemon in the midgame and to allow Mewtwo to clean through the endgame sequenzes. Psystrike hits most Pokemon for at least neutral damage, however, Fire Blast is great coevrage to hit Necrozma-DM, and Ice Beam allows Mewtwo to hit Yveltal for super effective damage as well as dealing OHKOes on Pokemon like Rayquaza and both Landorus formes. But it still fears faster Pokemon, which can revengekill it, and has still trouble breaking bulkier Pokemon like Ho-Oh. What partners can help Mewtwo to pave the way for it to be an outstanding cleaner?

Submission ends on Friday. Have fun everyone <3
