Yveltal @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Roost
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Defog

Mewtwo is a strong wallbreaker able to shut down most classic defensive cores. However, it can have a hard time coming on the field and setting up a Nasty Plot because of its low bulk and the irreversible chip damage it will take from hazards and Life Orb. Yveltal is thus a good partner for Nasty Plot Mewtwo because it can use U-turn on several defensive Pokemon to bring Mewtwo in and give him a free setup turn. Examples are things like Eternatus, Defensive Xerneas, Ferrothorn, Blissey… Yveltal is also extremely good at checking Calyrex Shadow who is one the prime revenge killer of Mewtwo, being faster and getting an OHKO with Astral Barrage. Lastly, Mewtwo appreciate Yveltal’s ability to Defog away hazards so that it can come without taking annoying and unhealable chip.

In return, Mewtwo can pressure Eternatus with Psystrike and opposing Yveltal with +2 Ice Beam, which are two Pokemon extremely annoying for your own Yveltal.

Calyrex-Shadow @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs

Ability: As One (Spectrier)
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Timid Nature
- Astral Barrage

- Psyshock
- Trick

- Aromatherapy

Calyrex-S is part of a double Psychic offensive core with Mewtwo as they are able to bust through their shared checks. Mewtwo is able to handle many of the threats to Calyrex-S such as Yveltal and Zarude with Ice Beam and Fire Blast. Calyrex-S is able to bust through Lunala and opposing Calyrex and handle Necrozma-DM more reliably. Aromatherapy is greatly appreciated so that Mewtwo isn't crippled by paralysis.

Reserving tapu lele
Mewtwo is a destructive sweeper and nothing switches into it safely easily getting 2hkoed/ohkoed if clicking the right move. its problem is life orb and hazards quickly lower its hp so it doesnt last a long time in a game. Also its weak to shadow sneak and sucker punch, 2 priority moves ran by marshadow and yveltal respectively most of the time threatening an ohko forcing mewtwo to switch out ending its sweeping hopes. this is where tapu lele comes in. tapu-lele provides psychic terrain which prevents marshadow and yveltal to revenge kill mewtwo. Psychic terrain also boosts mewtwo's stab psystrike allowing crucial guarnteed ohko on ho-oh.
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Mewtwo Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ho-Oh: 372-438 (89.4 - 105.2%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Mewtwo Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 204+ Def Ho-Oh: 387-458 (93 - 110%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
in psychic terrain:
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Mewtwo Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ho-Oh in Psychic Terrain: 484-569 (116.3 - 136.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Marshadow @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poltergeist
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Rock Tomb

Marshadow can deal with Ho-oh with Rock Tomb. Marshadow forms a great wallbreaking duo with Mewtwo dealing a giant amount of damage to any switch-ins. Mewtwo is able to deal with Ground types, Xerneas, and Eternatus and gives Marshadow more room to wreak havoc.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Landorus-T provides rocks and Knock Off to the team, chipping the Mewtwo checks, while also pivoting into Necrozma, Ho-oh, Groudon and Zygarde, allowing Mewtwo to entry the field more freely. It can also make use of Toxic, since it threatens its immunities with Earthquake.

Reserving Urshifu-S

:ss/Urshifu:

The kung fu pokemon is a great partner for mewtwo, wtih a x4 resistance to Dark atacks it can switch into Yveltal Knock Off without problems and paired with a Choice Band, amazing stats, a great dual stab and most important Wicked Blow it can spread massive damage to anything not call it Xerneas. Also U-turn guarantess progress against most of the Urshifu checks like Zygarde, Xerneas and Eternatus.

Heyo and we back on track, actually we still going ham in this thread, amazing contributors here <3

So without further addo, the winners of Week 6 with :mewtwo: as our Pokemon are:
Terrain Extender Tapu lele by hoennseptile
Choice Band Rock Tomb Marshadow by Flatemo

Gratz you two :blobwizard:

And onto Weeks 7 Pokemon and this time its time for some Ice and the Ice Age is brought to you by non other than Kyurem-White

:ss/Kyurem-white:
Kyurem-White @ Choice Specs
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Flare

- Freeze-Dry

Kyurem-W has one of the highest SpA stat in the metagame with 170 topped with a great offensive STAB combination in Ice / Dragon and the former Typing allows Kyure-W to be a terrifying special wallbreaker, as Ice-types are always a great offensive presence in any tier and Ice-type STAB moves are always very valuable, as they're spamable. This and its coverage allows Kyure-W to be a fearsome wallbreaker with hitting a lot of targets in the metagame, such as Groudon, Kyogre, Yveltal, and Zygarde-C making it a hard Pokemon to deal with. But this Pokemon has a flaw, its Speed tier is holding it back and with being an Ice-type it has not the best defensive typing, but how can you help this Dragon out? Which partners are beneficial for this Pokemon? Lets find out!

Submission deadline ends on Friday. Have fun and good luck!

Reserving Necrozma-DM

Calling the lion boi a second time, with a little different set this time. Kyurem-W suffers from being slower than Eternatus and can have trouble breaking through SpD Necrozma-DM without proper anticipation. Swords Dance Necrozma-DM fulfills those two weaknesses, being capable of checking and beating Eternatus & SpD Necrozma-DM. Meanwhile, Kyurem-W being capable to deal with Zygarde, Groudon and Yveltal is also a solid support for Necrozma-DM.

Metallic Lion (Necrozma-Dusk-Mane) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Atk / 92 SpD / 128 Spe
Serious Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Sunsteel Strike
- Morning Sun
(+4 40 Atk Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 399-469 (100.2 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO, those 40 evs mean you'll always OHKO SpD Necrozma-DM after 2 SD, 128 Spe makes you reach 222 flat Speed, and so you'll outspeed non Timid Magnezone and all variant of Calyrex-Ice)

Reserving Magnezone
:ss/Magnezone:
This boy have an amazing ability in Magnet Pull, allow them to trap and eliminate one of the most problematics defensive walls for Kyurem: Necrozma-Dusk mane who fully stop Kyurem from the Ice spam. Without him on the field to put rocks Kyurem have a confortable time pressuring the usually Stealth Rocks ussers and other premier Ubers mon like Groudon, Eternatus, Zygarde, etc.

Set:
Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Impish Nature

Reserving Ho-Oh
:ss/Ho-oh:
Ho-Oh @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 208 Atk / 52 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Brave Bird
- Thunder Wave
- Defog/Whirlwind

Kyurem-W suffers from a poor speed tier and weakness to all hazards making Ho-Oh a great partner with access to speed control in Twave and Defog. Alongside that, Ho-Oh can, at least, soft check Kyurem-W checks and revenge killers, such as Sp.def NDM, Zamazenta-C, Eternatus, Xerneas, Lunala and Calyrex-S. Offensive Ho-Oh and Kyurem-W have very different checks, but both can threaten each other checks, Kyurem-W, for example, can KO Zygarde, Eternatus, Zekrom, Toxapex and Giratina opening spaces for Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh can also run Whirlwind for Xerneas and to chip the opposing pokemons once hazards are on the field, but Defog allows Kyurem-W to have more entries and not get chipped.

Reserving Groudon

:SM/Groudon:

Groudon @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
- Swords Dance / Bulk Up
- Thunder Wave / Heat Crash

Sun support from Groudon helps Kyurem-White secure the KO against NDM (with chip) and reset the weather if the opposing team happens to have one funni raen whale. Don can also take advantage of the switch-ins forced by KyuW, such as the aforementioned NDM, Blissey, and Tyranitar, as well as checking a notable revenge killer in Eternatus. Meanwhile, KyuW can blast past the physical walls that would otherwise thwart Groudon. Thunder Wave also helps solve both mon's speed issues, especially against opponents such as Lunala and fast Yveltal.

Naganadel @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Nasty Plot

this mons sucks ass but its a nice partner for kyu-w, kinda. naganadel is an artificial way to help kyu-w with its speed problems, thanks to beast boost boosting its speed each time naganadel kills one mon. they both help each-other pretty nicely, in that kyu-w breaks everything while naganadel also does that but it, too, has the chance (a very slim one) to sweep weakened teams after kyu-w's barrage.

Reserving Corviknight
823 Corviknight (Regular) by pts-sprites on DeviantArt

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- U-turn
- Body Press
- Defog

Because of Kyurem-W's terrible defensive typing as its main flaws, Corviknight is a great partner to support Kyurem for few reasons explained below.

Kyurem weakness to rocks and lack of key resistance means that it will generally have difficulty switching in. Corviknight is a potent defogger due to having great match-up against common rock setters such as Dusk Mane, Lando-T, Tyranitar and Groudon thanks to its physical bulk, typing and its pressure ability - this gives it the upper hand against the foe as the raven's Defog will outlast hazard setters' PP while being immune to Toxic.

Apart from removing hazards, Corviknight can do other cool things for Kyurem. With the ability to provide slow U-Turn in order for Kyurem to cautiously enter the field which it appreciates as its not holding Heavy Duty Boots. Furthermore not only the defensive bird can pivot into upcoming physical attacks that are effectively aimed towards Kyurem particularly from the common Dusk Mane, the opponent will be inflicted with chip damage from Rocky Helmet which eventually allows Kyurem to have an easier time overcoming the threats that would normally have difficulty in doing so.

Ability: Dark Aura
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Atk / 212 SpD
Adamant/Brave Nature
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost

Yveltal is a great partner for Kyurem White because of its access to the move defog, removing Stealth Rocks, and U-Turn, letting Kyurem get into the field easier while also pressuring Necrozma-Dusk Mane to either switch out or stay in either way if they switch out, you can switch to a Pokemon of your own that can pressure what they switched to. Yveltal also has Knock Off removing Heavy Duty Boots pressuring your opponent even more with Stealth Rock chips and even Spikes if you have it.

Reserving xerneas

Kyurem-w with specs is a solid wallbreaker that shares it's best check (necrozma-dm) with xerneas. Together they pressure necrozma to not switch into them all the time which will leave the opposing team vulnerable to either of these mons. Xerneas can switch into specially defensive eternatus which threatens kyurem white with dynamax cannon. Once kyurem-w has chipped necrozma-dm, standard geomancy xerneas can sweep.

Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 168 Def / 252 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Geomancy
- Focus Blast / Substitute
- Thunder
Focus Blast can be used to improve blissey mu but substitute is perfectly fine too
