Of course like all Pokemon tournaments you have to have a lot of fortune to win. Luckily, I had fortune throughout plus some great supporters.
In particular, thank you to:
My apologies if I missed anyone in this. Thanks in general to anyone who supported me.
One note on this tournament: it's extremely sad that so many people cheated, even putting aside the alleged discrimination that happened in private servers. People put in literally hundreds and thousands of games to qualify and cheaters wouldn't even give them a fair chance to play in the tournament they qualified for. Regardless of how you feel about me, can you at least acknowledge this point: cheating badly damages the integrity of our tournaments, competitiveness, and community.
I don't know why cheaters choose to cheat, they might have their reasons. But I know for certain you get absolutely nothing for winning this tournament. You really don't. Who here remembers who won UULT in 2018 (no offense to whoever did win). Nobody cares. We do tournaments because we want to create an entertaining competition and think the game is fun. If cheating really entertains you and makes playing more fun, then I suggest you again think about the people you're depriving of a fair shot.
I know I focused on a lot of negatives but here's a positive - I am so relieved that people will call out cheaters, that's how they were found out, regardless of friendship. That's the only way to stop the cheaters - people who don't cheat cannot merely standby, they have to work to preserve the integrity of the community they participate in.
Sorry for the rant.
