Welcome to the second edition of the Sword & Shield Premier League! This thread is for the signups for those who wish to manage in the tour. Information about the tournament can be found in the SS OU Discord server. The hosts for this edition of SSPL are mkizzy, Javi, and AV11.

There will be 8 teams for this tournament.
When signing up, YOU MUST SIGN UP WITH AN ASSISTANT MANAGER and state who they are. ONLY ONE OF THE TWO MANAGERS will be able to purchase themselves for 15k credits prior to the draft if they wish to do so.

Managers will be chosen based on experience in SS tournaments, their level of involvement in the community and knowledge of the playerbase, their general competence, and prowess in managing in other high level tournaments in other tiers. If you do sign up, it would be worth explaining why you and your assistant manager would be good picks with relation to the above criteria.

Similar to my signup for SMPL, I have plenty of managerial experience as does my co-manager devin. He also managed for SSPL last year with Empo and while their season didn't go as they wanted, I am here with him to give it another go. Regarding SS experience, I have plenty of it for RU, NU, and PU. I have been dabbling in OU as well and gotten the hang of it. devin has the same experience as well and tends to stick to the OU metas (I've been his manager for ORAS PL for the past several years as well).

Clem and I are both very in on SS. I also managed SSPL last year. We both have a lot of managerial experience and playing experience across the site. We think we would be a good choice.

I have experience managing SSPL and smaller team tours. Clementine has various managerial experience across the site. We both have experience in majors, with Clementine in SCL and myself in WCOP. We also have plenty of playing experience across a whole host of team tours. We are dedicated to the game and will see our team through to victory.

I managed Team China in DLWC this year (got into a playoff tiebreak despite the country having very little experience with the format) and am an active contributor in the SS community, running multiple projects including resource threads like the tier's sample teams and viability rankings, as well as leading the SS QC team to update the tier's analyses. As for tournaments, I am currently in phase 2 of the top 16 in SSGC and have helped a number of players in tournaments involving SS OU (e.g. TPP and Carkoala in this year's winter seasonal, Allen-Xia in Team China's best ever WCoP finish so far, etc), which I believe demonstrates a good understanding of SS and how to assist players during tournaments. Ina fable provides a wealth of managerial experience (won MOMPL and has managed in tournaments like OUPL and DOUWCoP) and is a prominent SS player, finishing in the top 8 of the SS circuit last year and playing in last edition's SSPL. We believe that my enthusiasm and Ina's experience is a good combination to be entrusted with a team this year.

We both have a good knowledge of the SS metagame, following the OU tier since it was CG and playing it on several tournaments, including Smogon Masters top cut, EPL and OUPL. I have also played the previous SSPL edition, SS circuit and SS in team tournaments of a higher level such as WcoP or SPL and Skyrio has played SS NU and SS PU in low tiers WCoPs. Our managing experience is quite extensive, I have managed several team tournaments, winning PTPL recently, while Skyrio is one of the greatest managers in french community, winning the last two editions of FCL and managing Team France on RCoP. We are currently managing SMPL and we have managed together two times in the past, EPL and ORASPL, making semifinals in the latter.

Ok we are back, last time we couldnt make this dream come true because Bleach was banned and I had to captain with Shiloh, however this time we have come to give it our all.

Bleach started and won 2 spls in a row, achieving undisputed records (10-1) playing SS OU, he is without a doubt someone who knows what he is doing when it comes to ss,
Someone who knows the player base, a captain who knows the tier and will know what to tell his players at the time of each preparation? Thats bleach.

For my part, I have been a fan of this tier since I played this, I played the ribbon in 2022 when SS was still current gen and I am familiar with the other tiers of this generation. I have experience captaining tours here in smogon, including the last edition of SSPL and won a couple of these, on one occasion as captain.

We are both a good pair who know the gen, we have experience in teamtours both as player, manager and support, we will undoubtedly know what to offer our players and thus lead our team to Victory.

I managed this tour last year to playoffs prepping and scouting basically every slot, and my team was 1st seed all tour. Was in WCoP and SCL when SS was CG, helping support slots in SCL. I got roughly ~20 points in the most recent Stour with 65% of my points being from SS wins, and I know SS low tiers extremely well, which plays a hand in my ability to prep every slot equally. I have also been involved in every low tier PL/SD/WC when SS was CG too. Scarfire has qualified for Stour before and made Smogon Masters top cut, as well as being in WCoP this year. For other relevant tours, I managed SMPL last year, managed ORASPL to a finals tiebreak before, and am managing SMPL again right now along with PUPL and UUBD. We're both enjoyers of SS as an "old" gen and super motivated to manage this tour, more so myself as I'd like my redemption arc after being knocked out in semis.

If retains are allowed, I want the retain pool of my old team, thanks.

Ayk and I both won world cup in 2022, we were both newcomers in the roster and proved ourselves by an undisputed presence and investment, we still love the game and the competition and are always looking for more, as a proof ayk also plays at ssbu at a competitive level and does many tournaments to fullfill his desire of competition and for myself, I do the same on Clash Royale, CTDT and Pkmn Unite when it's about smogon tournaments, we are ready to reduce our investment in the other games.

Aurella doesn't need presentations as her skills in managing have already been proven as she has been managing officials such as WCoP and SCL, included SCL when SS was cg.
Her skills combined to my motivation and grinding will guarantee us a strong and fun season if we get picked.

Both of us are well-known in the tournaments community for our involvement, and for our results, especially in SS.

Managing team tournaments has been my main activity on Smogon for several years now, as well as what I enjoy doing the most. During SS CG era, I was already an active manager, both in Official and Unofficial team tournaments, consistently achieving good results. I have never really stopped for a considerable time since then, with my enjoyment for the metagames and my motivation remaining high through the years. As a result, I consider myself an experienced manager right now, and together with my Assistant, we will definitely be able to assemble a strong team and a nice environment. I also think it's worth noting, I am particularly comfortable with my knowledge of the SS playerbase. SS pools are among the ones I feel the most informed and competent about, having studied them for a long time, for dozens of different tournaments.

As for TDNT, he has proven himself as one of the most proficient SS players of our time, consistently performing very well in tournaments, be it recently or less recently. He is a very active community member, taking part in a lot of tournaments throughout the year, both Official or Unofficial ones. He has been doing great this season as well as last ones, both in terms of records and general activity. That is why, I'm sure he will be a very reliable support for the members of our team, other than having another great showing himself.

I have many PLs and WCs experience and have also managed Team india in NDWC, BTWC etc and have managed in ISTT I and II as well and also won season I and a few other discord tours. I am also managing the Wailord of the Rings this season too with tuthur.

Avarice on the other hand, have made it to semi-finals of SSPL last year, won UUSD, managed multiple WCs and other tours in addition to my own participation as a player.
