Garganacl is a great Stealth Rock setter thanks to its fantastic bulk, longevity with Recover, and ability to easily force switches against Great Tusk and outlast Defog Corviknight one-on-one. Protect alongside Salt Cure wears down entry hazard removal options such as Great Tusk and especially Corviknight due to its limited Roost PP and typing's vulnerability to Salt Cure. Protect also scouts out the intentions of Choice locked Pokemon such as Gholdengo and gives extra Leftovers recovery. Terastallization, lets Garganacl turn the tables on Great Tusk and Iron Treads lacking Iron Head, and makes it an incredibly consistent Stealth Rock setter. Specifically, Tera Fairy lets it completely wall Dragapult, while Tera Water lets it check Gholdengo, though this makes its matchup against opposing Garganacl much tougher. 116 Special Defense EVs let Garganacl take a Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Tera Dragon Dragapult at full health.

Garganacl fits on a wide variety of teams from bulky offense to stall thanks to it setting up Stealth Rock easily and having fantastic longevity. Ting-Lu is a fantastic partner since it can lay Spikes, and check Gholdengo and unboosted Kingambit, and wear down Corviknight much faster with Ruination thanks to Garganacl running Stealth Rock. Meowscarada and Great Tusk provide Knock Off support by removing Heavy-Duty Boots and Covert Cloak from Gholdengo and Toxapex to let Garganacl accrue Salt Cure damage more freely. Great Tusk also removes entry hazards with Rapid Spin. Gholdengo appreciates Great Tusk being worn down, since it shuts down other forms of entry hazard control well and fits alongside Garganacl and other entry hazard setters such as Garchomp. Cinderace lures in and uses U-turn on bulky Water-types such as Dondozo and Toxapex, giving Garganacl free entry to pressure them with Salt Cure

Garganacl is a great Stealth Rock setter thanks to its fantastic bulk, longevity with Recover, and the amount of switches it forces due to Salt Cure. i think being more specific here would be good. smth like "the ability to easily force switches against Great Tusk and outlast Defog Corviknight 1v1" Protect alongside Salt Cure allows it to wear down entry hazard removal options such as Great Tusk and especially Corviknight due to its limited Roost PP and its typing's vulnerability to Salt Cure. It also while also Protect also scouts out the intentions of Choice-locked Pokemon such as Gholdengo and gives extra Leftovers recovery. Garganacl is a takes great advantage of Terastalization; Tera Water lets it counter Gholdengo, while Tera Fairy lets it completely blank Dragapult. both let it also outright beat tusk 1v1 since it cant hit it super effectively anymore so nacl basically becomes the world's most reliable stealth rock setter lol. fairy is nice into valiant as well 116 Special Defense EVs let Garganacl take a Choice Specs Tera Dragon Draco Meteor from Dragapult at full health.

Garganacl is able to fit on a wide variety of teams from bulky offense to stall due to it easily setting up Stealth Rock and having fantastic longevity. Ting-Lu and is a fantastic partner since it can lay Spikes and wear down Corviknight much faster with Ruination. Meowscarada and Great Tusk provide Knock Off support since they are able to remove Heavy-Duty Boots and especially Covert Cloak from Gholdengo and Toxapex to let it accrue Salt Cure damage more freely. The latter also removes entry hazards with Rapid Spin. i personally would like to see more teammate examples here. maybe some pokemon that appreciate the pressure on great tusk particularly? how about pokemon that alleviate pressure to check pokemon that garg is tasked to take on? stuff like that. i'd like to see at least 2, ideally 3 or 4, more teammate examples if possible

I think Tera Fairy should be first choice, with Tera Water slashed, because this particular set really needs to win the mirror match vs other Garganacl variants. Make It Rain's 8 PP quickly becomes a problem with Protect anyway.

Ting-Lu is a fantastic partner since it can lay Spikes and wear down Corviknight much faster with Ruination. ting lu not having to run rocks is nice since it appreciates the moveslots. checks dengo and unboosted gambit pretty well too Meowscarada and Great Tusk provide Knock Off support since they are able to remove Heavy-Duty Boots and Covert Cloak from Gholdengo and Toxapex to let it accrue Salt Cure damage more freely. The latter also removes entry hazards with Rapid Spin. Infestation Toxapex pairs well with Garganacl's Salt Cure since it traps foes attempting to switch out of Salt Cure. true but due to this requiring several turns i would probably recommend suggesting some pokemon this would work more consistently against? Gholdengo appreciates Great Tusk being worn down, since it's able to shut down other forms of all other entry hazard control well and fit alongside Garganacl and other entry hazard setters such as Garchomp. Cinderace lures in bulky Water-types such as Dondonzo and Toxapex giving Garganacl more free entry through U-turn, while Salt Cure pressures them in return.
