Steel and Rock: A Mineral Battle (Leethoof vs. UllarWarlord)

"Here we are, back at the ASB Arena for a thrilling match! In the Red corner we have UllarWarlord and his Coreless modeled team! In the Blue corner, we have Leethoof and his three Bastiodons! Wait... That's no fair! Hold on... This just in, there has been a mistake, and the only Bastiodon he'll be using is the one in his heart. Both teams seem to have a good mixture of Defense and Offense, so we'll be in for a good one. Let the games begin!"

UllarWarlord's Team:

81.png

<Magnemite> [Tripolar] (Genderless)
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Att)
Type: Electric/Steel
Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.

Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.

Abilities:
Magnet Pull (Type: Can Be Activated)
This Pokemon has the ability to generate a magnetic field that can attract or repulse Steel-type Pokemon. When attracted by Magnet Pull, Steel-types cannot move out of the immediate proximity without great difficulty, and can be pulled along by the Magnet Pull Pokemon. When repulsed, the Steel type is thrust violently away and contact attacks have immense difficulty striking the Magnet Pull Pokemon. The effect of both commands lasts for the following three (3) actions. Steel-types cannot switch out in a Switch=OK battle while a Pokemon with Magnet Pull is on the field without the use of Baton Pass, U-turn, or Volt Switch.

Sturdy (Type: Innate)
This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Analytic (Type: Innate) [DW, Locked]
If this Pokemon attacks after its target during an action, its attacks have two (2) more Base Attack Power.

Abilities:
Plus (Type: Trait)
This Pokemon possesses a positive electrical charge. When a partner Pokemon with Plus or Minus is on the field or if this Pokemon has Minus, this Pokemon’s special attacks have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2). If this Pokemon has both Plus and Minus, the boosts stack to a maximum Base Attack Power increase of four (4).

Minus (Type: Trait)
This Pokemon possesses a negative electrical charge. When a partner Pokemon with Plus or Minus is on the field or if this Pokemon has Plus, this Pokemon’s special attacks have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2). If this Pokemon has both Plus and Minus, the boosts stack to a maximum Base Attack Power increase of four (4).

Levitate (Type: Trait)
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Telepathy (Type: Innate)
This Pokemon has a mental link with its allies in multiple battles, which allows it to avoid taking damage from allied attacks that damage each foe or the entire field like Blizzard and Earthquake. They are still affected by an opponents spread damage attacks.

Synchronize (Type: Innate)
Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison-types cannot be poisoned and Fire-types cannot be burned in this manner.

Type: Rock
Rock: Rock STAB; reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.

Abilities:
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.
Technician: (Innate) This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally deal 6 or below base damage to have their base damage multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) damage, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2).
Mold Breaker (DW): (Innate) Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

And Rebble leaps forward with a Mud Shot, and ouch, the first hit of the match is a Critical Hit! Look out folks, because that Mud Shot decreases Klink's speed, which may cause it some problems in the long run. Magnemite, sensing future trouble, throws up a Reflect, allowing its team to survive Physical Attacks more easily. Klink launches into an offense with a powerful Flash Cannon sending Rebble flying. Speaking of flying, Klink was enjoying its levitating over the battlefield until Roggenrola smacks it down with a fittingly named Smack Down! The poor gears are now susceptible to Ground Attacks...

Rebble rushes back into the fight and releases a mean Flamethrower onto Klink. I give Klink credit; it's taking hits left and right. Magnemite seeks to aid its ally and throws up a Light Screen, now giving its entire side a boost from all of their opponent's offenses. Again Klink launches a retaliatory attack on Rebble, this time with a very powerful Gear Grind! But to its rescue comes Roggenrola! Roggenrola lets loose an Earthquake, damaging Klink and allowing Rebble to escape. Oh no, poor Magnemite got caught up in the attack too, and because its back was turned it took Critical damage. That's x4 effective, so that's got to hurt.

Similar to the first action, Rebble again Mud Shots Klink. Magnemite, who we have yet to see use any offense, decides poison Rebble while Klink slams it again with another Flash Cannon. Ullar's team seems to have it out for Rebble, but Rebble is the least of their worries. Roggenrola lets loose another Earthquake, costing it dearly in energy, but the effects seem worth it. Earthquake scores another critical hit on Magnemite- it doesn't seem to be Magnemite's day. Klink fares slightly better, but its HP has been knocked into critical zone.

Three Pokémon near fainting, and two Pokémon are still in reserves. Leethoof's merciless offense (and unfortunate hax) have given him an edge over Ullar, but will the defensive team triumph in the end. Only time will tell!

"First of all, I must apologize for VentusVictory's disappearance, I'm sure it happened for good reason. Anyways, back to the battle!

Tripolar starts off the match by bracing itself, hoping to endure as many hits as possible for the rest of the round. It is followed up quickly by Hendrix, who goes on the offensive, launching a jet of flame at Simplicity, who barely manages to hang on thanks to the Light Screen set up earlier in the match. But now it is Van Halen's time to shine, as he lets loose a MAGNITUDE 15 earthquake inside the stadium! The whole place shakes as if it was the end of the world but thankfully the arena stands, and as the dust clears, we see Simplicity fainted on the floor of the arena, unable to dodge the massive quake in his grounded state.

Realizing that Tripolar will not be brought down this round by any conventional attacks, Leethoof instead commands Hendrix to Mud Shot Tripolar in an attempt to lower its speed for the next round, and Tripolar, enduring the hit, charges up a beam of light and, like a cannon, launches it straight at Hendrix, who barely manages to survive. Van Halen, on the other hand, chooses instead to relax and gain some energy.

As the round ends, both of Leethoof's Pokémon just sit back and chill until Tripolar's enduring focus wears off. Seizing the opportunity, Tripolar launches another Flash Cannon at Hendrix, managing to take it out, at the cost of Van Halen being at full health, energy, and able to outspeed it next turn."

"And here we go! Realizing which is the bigger threat, UllarWarlord commands Tripolar and E to attack Jones with Hidden Power and Flash Cannon respectively. Despite being struck with various blasts of light, Jones holds in and hits Tripolar with a weak Tackle, using as little energy as possible to knock out his foe. Van Halen, meanwhile, takes the opportunity to launch various blasts of rock at E, managing to strike five times for huge damage, as the last of Ullar's screens wears off.

Alone on his side of the field, E hits Jones with a Psybeam in an attempt to confuse it, but it fails to happen as Jones polishes his rocky body, boosting his speed to high (lol) levels. Van Halen, meanwhile, continues the rocky onslaught, managing to Smack Down E, (who was hardly levitating in the first place).

Jones takes the initiative this round by attempting to flinch E with a Rock Slide, but fails as E strikes him back with another Hidden Power, which lands a critical hit!. Realizing that his Smack Down did little damage, Van Halen goes back to blasting E with rocks, managing to land four hits this time, and bringing E down to low health while remaining at full himself.

The situation seems desperate for Ullar. Can he manage to pull back the match? I doubt it - but we'll just have to wait and see!"
