Gen 6 Suggestions for Battlespot team for Newbie?

Greetings,
I am a newbie to competitive battling. Right now I have limited free time ( an hour a day) to play. I have been experimenting in Battle Spot singles (Gen 6, ORAS), but would like some guidance. If anyone can help me build a 3 member team around a Mega Sceptile with no breeding involved, I would appreciate the help in getting started.
