[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

Sporting great defensive stats, amazing defensive typing, and decent natural Speed, Suicune is able to wall and stall many Pokemon in Monotype such as Slowking and Tapu Lele. Thanks to its ability in Pressure, Calm Mind, and its natural bulk, Suicune can stall out menacing walls such as Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex one-on-one. It is also able to effectively stall out menacing attacks like Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech with Pressure. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Suicune is extremely vulnerable to entry hazards, status, and other chip damage leaving it unable to reliably switch into attacks. In addition, having Scald as its only offensive move makes it vulnerable to Water-immune Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Mantine. Furthermore, Suicune's heavy reliance on Leftovers makes it extremely vulnerable to Knock Off.

[SET]
Name: Calm Mind + Substitute (Water)
Move 1: Calm Mind
Move 2: Scald
Move 3: Protect
Move 4: Substitute
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Calm Mind allows Suicune to both sweep and take on special attackers like Tornadus-T while being able to fire back with Scald; Scald allows Suicune to spread burns, which threaten opposing physical attackers such as Dragonite and Scizor coming in. Protect adds passive recovery via Leftovers and works with Substitute and Pressure to PP stall foes; Protect also allows Suicune to scout Choice-locked Pokemon such as Rillaboom, Tapu Lele, and Latios. Substitute can also be used to block status conditions such as poison and burn that would nullify Suicune's passive recovery and therefore prevent it from effectively PP stalling. It can create a Substitute for free on Pokemon like defensive Celesteela. Suicune's HP investment allows it to form a Substitute with 101 HP, which doesn't break after one Night Shade or Seismic Toss from Galarian Corsola or Blissey.

Toxapex is able to provide Toxic Spikes support, which helps Suicune stall out its foes. In addition, it can stop setup sweepers like Bisharp with Haze. Swampert provides an Electric immunity to the team and phazes setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Dragapult with Roar. Furthermore, Swampert can set Stealth Rock, which helps Suicune wear down opposing teams . Urshifu-R is good to break past many potential checks to Suicune, (AC) such as Water-immune Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine, (AC) with Close Combat and Thunder Punch. Tapu Fini provides a Dragon immunity while also setting up Misty Terrain, which prevents Suicune from becoming statused, and threatening Suicune's Dragon-type checks like Latios and Hydreigon. In turn, Suicune can assist Tapu Fini by spreading burns and PP stalling its checks such as Skuntank. Choice Scarf Tapu Fini also helps to weaken foes with Trick and Knock Off. Mantine not only removes hazards like Toxic Spikes, but also offers a Ground immunity. In addition, it provides a key neutrality to Grass Mantine also has Haze to stifle setup Pokemon like Belly Drum Azumarill and Volcarona. Slowking assists Suicune and the team by filling the role of a specially defensive pivot, bringing in Suicune with ease and countering Pokemon it struggles against such as Toxapex and Toxicroak. Teammates with Heal Bell like Vaporeon help with Suicune's vulnerability to status chip damage.

--------
Rest and Sleep Talk can be used over Protect + Substitute in order to fully recover HP, but that leaves Suicune as setup (was "set up") bait and relies on RNG to select the ideal moves. This set also makes Suicune worse at PP stalling.

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Water-types**: Specially defensive Water-type Pokemon easily wall Scald and force Suicune to switch. Toxapex is particularly a threat due to its access to Haze and reliable recovery.

**Electric-types**: Pokemon such as Regieleki and Alolan Raichu can spam Thunderbolt and Rising Voltage against Suicune, but it can threaten them from behind a Substitute, especially if it has used Calm Mind.

**Chip Damage**: Any chip damage, like from damaging entry hazards and status conditions, reduces Suicune's ability to wall its foes. Toxic Spikes deserves a special mention, as it automatically puts Suicune on a timer.

**Grass-types**: Grass-types resisting Scald makes them extremely hard to break past. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention for its ability to set up a Substitute and proceed to use Suicune as setup fodder. Rillaboom's Grassy Glide will not only OHKO Suicune but decimate any Water team. However, both Rillaboom and Tapu Bulu fear Scald burns, making opponents reluctant to switch them in.

**Haze Users and Phazing**: Moves such as Haze and Whirlwind make it difficult for Suicune to set up for a late-game (added hyphen) sweep.

**Stallbreakers**: Common Taunt users like Cobalion and Keldeo can lock Suicune into Scald, which is only threatening after it has used Calm Mind. Suicune is also vulnerable to Encore, which allows opposing physical attackers to come in and revenge kill it without the risk of being burned by Scald.

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Due to Scald being its only offensive move, Suicune is unable to damage Water-immune pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine. However, Suicune is able to annoy them through Pressure stalling.

[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

- Sporting great defensive stats, amazing defensive typing allow it to wall many pokemon Pokemon in the monotype Monotype metagame. (such as?)
- It is able effectivly effectively stall out menacing attacks (such as?) with Pressure make it a useful defensive Pokemon.
- Its adequate natural speed can be invested into to allow it to be able to outspeed Pokemon that would otherwise threaten it, such as Ferrothorn and Mandibuzz. (I'm not really sure what this means)
- However, Suicune is extremely reliant on Scald to damage its opponent, making it vulnerable to Pokemon who are immune to or resist water type attacks.
- Due to its lack of access to reliable recovery, Suicune is also extremely vulnerable to entry hazards and is unable to reliably switch into attacks.
- Furthermore, Suicune is extremely vulnerable to status moves such as Thunder Wave and Toxic, as they either prevent Suicune from outspeeding key threats that it would normally counter and prevent it from being able to stall its opponent, respectively.
- Due to this, Suicune relies heavily on team support in order to make it a threatening sweeper.
- Despite facing heavy competition from Tapu Fini as a set up sweeper, Suicune has the unique niche of being able to PP stall opposing pokemon with Pressure.
- By utalizing its Ability, Pressure, Calm Mind, and its natural bulk, Suicune is able to defeat many of the biggest threats to water teams such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn in a 1v1.

This Overview feels reflects a bit negatively on Suicune. Overviews generally intend to identify reasons why you can or may not utilize a Pokemon, but if negative factors overwhelm the positives, then people wouldn't have much of a reason to use it, y'know? Trim down some of the content here I'd say, whether it be by combining certain points together (i.e. troubles with set up sweeping) or eliminate some content outright so there's a balance in positives and negatives.

[SET]
Name: Vincune Substitute + Calm Mind
Move 1: Calm Mind
Move 2: Scald
Move 3: Protect
Move 4: Substitute
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe (changed spread to Max HP / Spe for simplicity)

[SET COMMENTS]
- With Calm Mind, Suicune is able to boost its Special Attack and Special Defence, allowing it to become a more threatening sweeper and tank Special Attacks simultaneously.
- Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to other pokemon, as well as spread burns which threatens opposing Physical attackers coming in on Suicune.
- Protect is to be used to gain passive recovery via Leftovers, as well as to take advantage of Pressure by PP stalling opponents in combination with Substitute.
- Protect also allows Suicune to scout choice locked pokemon Pokemon such as Rillaboom. (add more choiced examples + combine w/ above bullet)
- Substitute can also be used in order to prevent opponents from inflicting status conditions such as Poison and Burn on Suicune, both of which nullify its passive recovery and thereby prevent it from effectively PP stalling.
- Suicune's HP investment allows it to form Substitutes with 101 HP, which don't fade after one Night Shade or Seismic Toss.
- The Special Defence investment allows Suicune's Substitute a decent chance of surviving a Volt Switch from a Rotom form or Lanturn at +1 (+1 what? specify).
- In addition, Suicune can also wall SubToxic Aegislash (combine with above bullet)
- 216 Maximum Speed investment allows Suicune to outspeed common threats to it such as Mandibuzz preventing them from using Toxic. (Another Pokemon, Mandibuzz isn't threatening)
- Leftovers increases Suicune's longevity and allows it to effectively wall opponents.

Paragraph 2:
- Urshifu-Rapid-Strike (unneeded) is also a good teammate to Suicune, as it is able to break past many pokemon Pokemon that have the potential to check Suicune such as Ferrothorn, as well as pokemon that are immune to water Water immune Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine using a combination of Close Combat and Thunder Punch.
- Toxapex is able to provide Toxic Spikes, which helps Suicune Toxic Stall as well as PP stall stall out the opponent. In addition, it can stop set-up sweepers like Volcarona with Haze.
- Azumarill provides a Grass immunity through Sap Sipper, while also being able to perishtrap pokemon trap Pokemon like Ferrothorn that would otherwise pose a threat to the team Suicune.
- Tapu Fini provides a Dragon immunity, while also setting up Misty Terrain terrain that prevents Suicune from becoming Burned or Poisoned.
- It helps to threaten Suicune's checks such as Dragon Types. (combine with above)
- In turn, Suicune can assist Tapu Fini by spreading burns and PP stalling its counters checks, such as Skuntank.
- Mantine not only offers Hazard control for players who choose not to run Tentacruel, but a ground immunity as well. (unneeded, no prior mention of Tentacruel.)
- In addition, Mantine also provides a key neutrality to grass moves. (combine with above)
- Swampert provides an electric immunity to the team, while also being able to Phase out set up sweepers such as Dragonite and Dragapult with Roar.
- Furthermore, Swampert can set Stealth Rock, which restrict types like Bug and Fire until they are able to get rid of them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Water
--------
- Toxic can be used over Calm Mind in order to break past Cradily and Mantine, however this forces Suicune to lose almost all offensive presence.
- Rest + and Sleep Talk can be used over Protect + Substitute in order to fully recover HP, however that leaves Suicune as set up bait and relies on RNG Sleep Talk to select the ideal moves.
- Tentacruel can be used over Toxapex, as it provides Toxic Spikes with the added bonus of Hazard Control with Rapid Spin. However, it lacks the reliable recovery and strong physical defence that Toxapex has. (irrelevant to this analysis)

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Bulky Water Types Water-types**: Suicune's way of sweeping teams is through Scald. However when Specially Defensive Water pokemon enter the field it forces Suicune to switch, as Suicune can easily be walled by them. Toxapex is particularly a threat due to its access to Haze and reliable recovery.
(space)
**Electric Types Electric-types**: As a pure Water type, Suicune is extremely vulnerable to pokemon such as Regieleki and Raichu-Alola, as they are able to constantly spam Thunderbolt and Rising Voltage against it.
(space)
**Entry Hazards**: Anything that hurts Suicune reduces its ability to wall opponents. Toxic Spikes deserves a special mention, as it is able to nullify the effects of Leftovers, and can do even more at 2 layers.
(space)
**Grass Types Grass-types**: Due to the fact that Grass types resist Suicune's Scald, it makes them extremely hard to break past. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention for its ability to set up a Substitute and proceed to use Suicune as setup fodder. Rillaboom also deserves a mention, as its ability to use Grassy Glide to move will not only OHKO Suicune but decimate any Water team.
(space)
**Knock Off, Switcheroo, and Trick**: Without Leftovers recovery, Suicune is unable to efficiently stall its opponents. Trick especially hurts Suicune, as not only does it take away Leftovers but usually replaces it with a choice item, making Suicune almost useless for the remainder of the battle.
(space)
**(P)hazers Haze users and Phazing**: By using moves such as Haze and Roar Whirlwind, Suicune's stat boosts can quickly become nullified. (remove period, add comma) This makes making it difficult to set up for a late game sweep as long as a pokemon with one of these moves remains in play.
(space)
**Stallbreakers**: Common Taunt users like Cobalion and Keldeo can lock Suicune into Scald, a move that can only be used offensively after Suicune has used Calm Mind. Suicune is also vulnerable to Encore, as it forces it to use only passive moves, allowing opposing physical attackers to come in and kill it without the risk of being burned by Scald.
(space)
**Water immune Pokemon**: Due to Scald being its only offensive move, Suicune is unable to do damage to Water-immune pokemon Pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine. Notable threats in this category are Cradily and Mantine, both of which have the potential to badly poison Suicune with Toxic. However, Suicune is able to 1v1 these water-immune pokemon due to its ability, annoy them through Pressure stalling.

- rephrase the first sentence to talk about all of these: its good defensive typing, amazing natural bulk, and decent natural speed. talk about why these make suicune a solid option on water teams
- talk about how it can also wear down walls with pressure, while not being affected by them due to its substitute
- when talking about why solo water attack is bad, list water immune examples like gastrodon
- move the last line about pressure to the second sentence

[SET]
Name: Calm Mind + Substitute (Water) < make sure to include the type on the set

Move 2: Scald
Move 3: Protect
Move 4: Substitute
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[Set Comments]
- give some examples of what calm mind allows it to better take on
- name some examples of what scald can cripple for suicune
- give examples of some stuff suicune can setup a sub for free on
- when you take about its 101 hp subs, mention Galarian Corsola as the night shade user and Blissey as the seismic toss user, they are the most common users of those moves
- remove the last line in paragraph 1 abt leftovers, you talk about its passive recovery with protect

Paragraph 2: this is unnecessary, remove that and keep the paragraph
- talk about what suicune does for its teammates in general up here
- move toxapex and swampert to the first teammate you talk about for suicune. they are the most important
- suicune doesn't really struggle vs volc, also volc commonly carrys psychic which beats pex.
- remove sap sipper azu as a teammate. its only used on stall water, which suicune is not present on
- talk about scarf tapu fini as well and how it can help cripple pokemon with trick and knock off. also when talking about tapu finis terrain, just generalize it to prevent suicune from being statused, it absolutely hates all of them
- talk about haze+defog on mantine. mantine can check threats like volcarona and +6 azu
- add slowking as a teammate

[Other Options]
- i would remove toxic from here, let other teammates do that

[Checks and Counters]

[Overview]
* By its Ability, Pressure, Calm Mind, and its natural bulk, Suicune is able to defeat many of the biggest threats to water teams such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn in a 1v1. It can also utalize this ability to stall out menacing walls such as Toxapex. It is able effectively stall out menacing attacks Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech with Pressure make it a useful defensive Pokemon.
- You don't need this many sentences to talk about Suicune's PP stalling, since Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex are all walls, so you should combine these
- You mention that it struggles against water immune / resistant pokemon twice, so combine that into one sentence
- Mention in the sentence about entry hazards that Suicune gets worn down by passive damage as a whole since this includes status / other chip
- Mention that because of Suicune's lack of recovery, it is reliant on Leftovers and gets crippled by Knock Off

[Set Comments]
- I assume you mean Tornadus-Therian instead of Tornadus? Anyway, a better example would be something slower with no knock like Volcarona
- Use Blissey > Chansey as the Seismic Toss example, it's better
- Remove the last sentence, you also already said this
- Mention why you need max speed (so you can outspeed mons like Rotom-Wash and Tapu Bulu)

* Furthermore, Swampert can set Stealth Rock, which restrict types like Bug and Fire until they are able to get rid of them.
- Instead of focusing on how rocks are bad for Bug and Fire (where most mons have boots anyways lmao!), talk about how Stealth Rock helps Suicune wear down opposing teams in general
- Remove Ferro as an example as something Urshifu beats (we already said Suicune 1v1s Ferro)

* Slowking assists the team by filling the role of a Specially Defensive Pivot that is able to bring in its teammates with ease using Teleport.
- Make this more specific to Suicune by saying that Slowking brings it in with Teleport and helps threaten some of Suicune's checks such as Toxicroak and Toxapex

[Other Options]
- Add that RestTalk also makes Suicune worse at PP stalling when talking about its flaws

[Checks and Counters]
- For Water-types, say that Suicune can set up on and PP stall most bulky Waters that don't have Haze. Also remove that Suicune needs to switch when a defensive Water comes in bc it doesn't
- For Grass-types, mention that both Tapu Bulu and Rillaboom fear Scald burns. Also mention that Grassy Glide outspeeds and OHKOes Suicune, instead of just OHKOes, because this clarifies what makes Suicune unable to PP stall it
- Mention Whimsicott as an Encore user

Sporting great defensive stats, amazing defensive typing, and decent natural Speed, Suicune is able to wall and stall many of the Pokmon Pokemon in the current Monotype metagame such as Slowking and Tapu Lele. By its ability in Pressure, Calm Mind, and its natural bulk, Suicune is able to stall out menacing walls such as Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex in a 1v1. It is also able effectively stall out menacing attacks like Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech with Pressure, (AC) make making it a useful defensive Pokemon. Due to its lack of access to reliable recovery, Suicune is also extremely vulnerable to entry hazards and is unable to reliably switch into attacks, as well as being easily worn down by status and other chip damage. In addition, having a Water move as its only offensive move makes it vulnerable to Water- (AH)immune Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Mantine. Furthermore, its heavy reliance on Leftovers makes it Suicune extremely vulnerable to Knock Off.

Move 2: Scald
Move 3: Protect
Move 4: Substitute
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
With Calm Mind, Suicune is able to boost its Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing it to become a more threatening sweeper and tank Special Attacks special attacks simultaneously. It allows Suicune to take on Special Attackers special attackers like Tornadus-Therian (RC) while also being able to fire back with Scald; (remove period > semicolon) Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to other Pokemon, as well as spread burns, (AC) which threatens opposing physical attackers, such as Dragonite and Scizor coming in on Suicune. Protect is to be used to gain passive recovery via Leftovers, as well as to take advantage of Pressure by PP stalling opponents its foes in combination with Substitute; (Remove period add semicolon) Protect also allows Suicune to scout Choice locked Pokemon such as Rillaboom, Tapu Lele, and Latios. Substitute can also be used in order to prevent opponents its foes from inflicting status conditions such as poison and burn on Suicune, both of which nullify its passive recovery and thereby prevent it from effectively PP stalling. It is able to create a Substutite Substitute for free on Pokemon like defensive Celesteela. Suicune's HP investment allows it to form a Substitutes with 101 HP, which don't doesn't fade after one Night Shade or Seismic Toss, with Corsola-Galar Galarian Corsola or Bissey being the most common users of the move, respectively. Protect increases Suicune's longevity and allows it to effectively wall opponents its foes, as well as scout the moves of Choiced opponents Choice item Pokemon.

Toxapex is able to provide Toxic Spikes, which helps Suicune stall out its opponents foes. In addition, it can stop setup (RH) sweepers like Bisharp with Haze. Swampert provides an Electric immunity to the team (RC) while also being able to Phase out set up phaze setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Dragapult with Roar. Furthermore, Swampert can set Stealth Rock, which helps Suicune wear down opposing teams until they are removed. restrict types like Bug and Fire until they are able to get rid of them. It also gets extra chip against other types, which helps Suicune wear down opposing teams. Urshifu-R is a good teammate to Suicune, as it is able to break past many Pokemon that have the potential to check Suicune such as Water immune Water-immune Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine using a combination of Close Combat and Thunder Punch. Tapu Fini provides a Dragon immunity (RC) while also setting up Misty Terrain that prevents Suicune from becoming statused. It helps to threaten Suicune's Dragon-type checks such as Dragon Types such as Latios and Hydreigon. In turn, Suicune can assist Tapu Fini by spreading burns and PP stalling its checks, such as Skuntank. Choice Scarf Tapu Fini also helps to cripple opponents opposing Pokemon with Trick and Knock Off. Mantine not only offers hazard control, but a Ground immunity as well. In addition, Mantine also provides a key neutrality to Grass moves. Furthermore, Mantine helps to remove hazards like Toxic Spikes for Suicune and the rest of the team (RC) while also preventing Pokemon like Belly Drum Azumarill and Volcarona set up from setting up. Slowking assists the team by filling the role of a Specially Defensive Pivot specially defensive pivot that is able to bring in Suicune with ease via Teleport, as well as Coutnering countering Pokemon Suicune would otherwise struggle against such as Toxapex and Toxicroak.

**Water-types**: Suicune's way of sweeping teams is through Scald. However, (AC) when specially defensive Water Pokemon enter the field it forces Suicune to switch, as Suicune it can easily be walled by them. Toxapex is particularly a threat due to its access to Haze and reliable recovery.

**Electric-types**: As a pure Water type Water-type (AH), Suicune is extremely vulnerable to Pokemon such as Regieleki and Raichu-Alola Alolan Raichu, as they are able to constantly spam Thunderbolt and Rising Voltage against it. However, Suicune can threaten Electric-types from behind a Substitute, especially if it has used Calm Mind.

**Certain Non-volatile Status Conditions**: Non-volatile status conditions such as Encore and Taunt can prevent Suicune from effectivly effectively stalling due to its inability to use the right move at the right time. A special mention is Whimsicott, which not only resists Scald, but can lock Suicune into spamming one move for 3 turns, which is only efficiently done after Suicune has used Calm Mind a few times.

**Entry Hazards**: Anything that hurts Suicune reduces its ability to wall its foes opponents. Toxic Spikes deserves a special mention, as it is able to nullify the effects of Leftovers (RC) and can do even more at 2 two layers.

**Grass-types**: Due to the fact that Grass-types (hyphen) resist Suicune's Scald, it makes them extremely hard to break past. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention for its ability to set up a Substitute and proceed to use Suicune as setup fodder. Rillaboom also deserves a mention, as its ability to use Grassy Glide will not only OHKO Suicune but decimate any Water team. However, both Rillaboom and Tapu Bulu fear Scald burns leading opponents to be reluctent reluctant to switch them in on Suicune.

**Haze users and Phasing**: By using moves such as Haze and Whirlwind, Suicune's stat boosts can quickly become nullified, making it difficult to set up for a late-game (AH) sweep.

**Stallbreakers**: Common Taunt users like Cobalion and Keldeo can lock Suicune into Scald, a move that can only be used offensively after Suicune has used Calm Mind. Suicune is also vulnerable to Encore, as it forces it to use only passive moves, allowing opposing physical attackers to come in and revenge kill it without the risk of being burned by Scald.

**Status Conditions**: Any condition that prevents Suicune from regaining HP is a threat to it. Suicune appriciates appreciates teammates with Heal Bell for this reason.

**Water-immune (AH) Pokemon**: Due to Scald being its only offensive move, Suicune is unable to damage Water-immune Pokemon such as Cradily and Mantine. However, Suicune is able to annoy them through Pressure stalling.

Sporting great defensive stats, amazing defensive typing, and decent natural Speed, Suicune is able to wall and stall many of the Pokemon in the current Monotype metagame such as Slowking and Tapu Lele. By Thanks to its ability in Pressure, Calm Mind, and its natural bulk, Suicune is able to stall out menacing walls such as Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex in a 1v1 one-on-one. It is also able to effectively stall out menacing attacks like Tapu Bulu's Horn Leech with Pressure make ,(AC) making it a useful defensive Pokemon. Due to its lack of reliable recovery, Suicune is also extremely vulnerable to entry hazards and is unable to reliably switch into attacks, as well as being easily worn down by status and other chip damage. In addition, having a Water move as its only offensive move makes it vulnerable to Water-immune Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Mantine. Furthermore, its heavy reliance on Leftovers makes Suicune extremely vulnerable to Knock Off.

With Calm Mind, Suicune is able to boost its Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing it to become a more threatening sweeper and tank special attacks simultaneously. It allows Suicune to take on Special Attackers special attackers like Tornadus-T,(RC) while also being able to fire back with Scald; Scald allows Suicune to deal damage to other pokemon as well as spread burns, which threatens threaten opposing physical attackers,(RC) such as Dragonite and Scizor coming in on Suicune. Protect is used to gain passive recovery via Leftovers,(RC) as well as to take advantage of Pressure by PP stalling opponents foes in combination with Substitute; Protect also allows Suicune to scout Choice-locked(AH) Pokemon such as Rillaboom, Tapu Lele, and Latios. Substitute can also be used in order to prevent opponents from inflicting to ignore status conditions such as poison and burn on Suicune, which would nullify its passive recovery and thereby therefore prevent it from effectively PP stalling. It is able to create a Substitute for free on Pokemon like Defensive defensive Celesteela. Suicune's HP investment allows it to form a Substitute with 101 HP, which doesn't fade break after one Night Shade or Seismic Toss from Galarian Corsola and Blissey, with Galarian Corsola or Bissey being the most common users of the move,(RC) respectively. Protect increases Suicune's longevity and allows it to effectively wall opponents,(RC) its foes as well as scout the moves of Choiced opponents Choice-locked Pokemon.

Toxapex is able to provide Toxic Spikes support, which helps Suicune stall out its foes. In addition, it can stop set-up setup sweepers like Bisharp with Haze. Swampert provides an Electric immunity to the team,(RC) while also being able to phase phaze out set up setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Dragapult with Roar. Furthermore, Swampert can set Stealth Rock, which helps Suicune wear down opposing teams until they are removed. It also gets extra chip against other types, which helps Suicune wear down opposing teams. (doesn't seem like this last sentence adds much) Urshifu-R is a good teammate to Suicune, as it is able to break past many Pokemon that have the potential to check potential checks to Suicune such as like Water-immune Pokemon such as Cradily, Seismitoad, and Mantine using a combination of with Close Combat and Thunder Punch. Tapu Fini provides a Dragon immunity while also setting up Misty Terrain that ,(AC) which prevents Suicune from becoming statused.(RP) It helps to threaten ,(AC) and threatening Suicune's Dragon-Type type checks such as Latios and Hydreigon. In turn, Suicune can assist Tapu Fini by spreading burns and PP stalling its checks,(RC) such as Skuntank. Choice Scarf Tapu Fini also helps to weaken opponents with Trick and Knock Off. Mantine not only offers hazard control, but a Ground-immunity as well. In addition, Mantine also provides a key neutrality to Grass moves. Furthermore, Mantine helps to remove hazards like Toxic Spikes for Suicune and the rest of the team while also preventing Pokemon like Belly Drum Azumarill and Volcarona setting up. Slowking assists the team by filling the role of a special defensive pivot that is able to bring in Suicune with ease via Teleport, as well as countering Pokemon Suicune would otherwise struggle against such as Toxapex and Toxicroak.

-(RH) Rest and Sleep Talk can be used over Protect + Substitute in order to fully recover HP, but that leaves Suicune as set up bait and relies on RNG to select the ideal moves. This set also makes Suicune worse at PP stalling.
