Pokemon: Bastiodactyl
Mod of Origin: Fossil Mashup
Stats: 90 / 85 / 90 / 90 / 65 / 85 [BST: 505]
Typing:

Abilities: Rock Head / Pressure / Soundproof

Viable Moves:
- Aerostrike*, Iron Head, Earthquake, Stone Edge
- Earth Power, Flamethrower, Hurricane, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt
- Defog, Roost, Stealth Rock, Whirlwind
Movepool can be found here; Use Aerodactyl as the head and Bastiodon as the tail, and replace Wing Attack with Aerostrike*.
|
| 80bp | 100% acc | 16pp
User switches out after damaging the target.
Priority: 0 | Contact | Targets one adjacent mon I think?
Despite having 220 mons to choose from, Fossil Mashup's tendency to produce incredibly average stat spreads makes it pretty hard to find reps from it at this power level. Your best options are either well-typed walls or Shell Smashers, and since we're low on defensive mons I decided to sub the former. Bastiodactyl does the Corviknight thing with its typing and Defog + Pressure, allowing it to shut down most hazard setters with ease, while also going a step beyond that with Stealth Rock + Pressure to set rocks on most hazard removers. Combine these with a STAB pivoting move in Aerostrike, and this mon can dominate the hazard game. It also gets a ton of random coverage options from Aerodactyl to nail would-be answers to it on the switch, though this leads to some 4MSS as you're never running it without Roost.

:ss/primarina:
Pokemon: Primarina
Mod of Origin: Z-Revival
Stats: 80 / 74 / 74 / 126 / 116 / 60 [BST: 530]
Typing:

Abilities: Torrent / Liquid Voice

Viable Moves:
- Flip Turn
- Deep Sea Finale*, Draining Kiss, Energy Ball, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Moonblast, Psychic, Scald, Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind, Substitute
Movepool = Primarina's Movepool + Deep Sea Finale*
|
| 130bp | 90% acc | 8pp
Lowers the user's Sp. Atk by 2.
Priority: 0 | Sound | Targets one adjacent mon I think? (again)
Z-Revival is another tough mod to sub from in Smash, mostly due to the mons it touches often starting out weak and the changes being fairly minor. Thankfully, Primarina is strong to begin with, and Deep Sea Finale adds a welcome nuke to its arsenal. It's not going to see too much use on its Calm Mind sets, but other sets will definitely appreciate it, especially with its Choiced sets already frequently running two special Water moves. One last thing that should really help it to stand out here compared to in OU is that it no longer has to compete with Tapu Fini.

:ss/jellicent-f:
Pokemon: Jellicent-Hoenn
Mod of Origin: Regional Variants
Stats: 100 / 40 / 85 / 90 / 105 / 60 [BST: 480]
Typing:

Abilities: Merciless / Cursed Body / Water Absorb

Viable Moves:
- none
- Hex, Night Shade, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb
- Recover, Strength Sap, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Will-O-Wisp
Movepool = Jellicent’s Movepool + Acid Spray, Baneful Bunker, Belch, Clear Smog, Curse, Gastro Acid, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Toxic Spikes, Venom Drench, Venoshock, - Blizzard, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Hail, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Mist, Scald, Waterfall, Water Pulse, Water Sport, Water Spout
I’ve been looking for a good defensive Ghost/Poison mon for a while, and I think I’ve finally found it. Jellicent-Hoenn is a solid special wall that can come in on the likes of Kokovoir and Exploud and then spread some status and set TSpikes, kind of like normal Jellicent but with a hazard. It’s not complicated but it should be a healthy addition to the meta, we could really use some more walls rn.

Sorry guys, this anime girl is way too tempting of a mon to skip over.

R (1).png

Pokémon: Black Percher
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos Expanded
Stats: 80/94/104/134/108/80 (BST: 600)
Type:

Abilities:
Cursed Body (HA: Merciless)
Viable Moves:
: Knock Off
: Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Shadow Ball, Hex, Focus Blast, Psychic, Psyshock, Venoshock
: Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Destiny Bond, Taunt, Parting Shot, Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp, Strength Sap, Haze, Calm Mind
Signature moves:
Sinful Shield –
– N/A – 10 PP – —% – A more powerful variant of Baneful Bunker that inflicts toxic poison on targets that attack the user with contact moves instead of normal poison. +4 priority.
Miasma Wind –
– 80 BP – 5 PP – 100% – 10% chance to raise user’s Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed stats by 1 stage each.
Other Moves:
: Cross Poison, Poison Jab, Astonish, Shadow Sneak, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Lunge, Beat Up, Pursuit, Fling, Punishment, Payback, Foul Play, Power Trip, Lash Out, Outrage, Dual Chop, Play Rough, Spirit Break, Counter, Revenge, Wake-Up Slap, Low Sweep, Fly, Aerial Ace, Acrobatics, Double Slap, Pound, Endeavor, Fake Out, Covet, Chip Away, Retaliate

Black Percher is a potent special wallbreaker, utilizing its high Special Attack to punch holes into teams. Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball are good dual STABs, and it can also opt for Toxic + Venoshock to bust holes into stuff as well.

:ss/tapu-fini:
Pokemon: Tapu Fini
Mod of Origin: Bust A Moves
Type:

Ability: Misty Surge / Telepathy
Stats: 75 HP / 70 Atk / 115 Def / 95 SpA / 130 SpD / 85 Spe [BST: 570]
Moves: Tapu Fini's movepool + Terrain Pulse*, Purify*
Move Name: Purify
Type: Poison
Category: Status
BP: --
Acc: --
PP: 20
Effect: If the target has a status condition or any stat changes, they are removed. If the move succeeds, it also restores 50% of the user's HP.

Move Name: Brine
Type:
water.gif

Category:
special.png

BP: 65
Acc: 100%
PP: 10
Effect: Doubles in base power if the target is affected by a non-volatile status condition

Move: Terrain Pulse
Type: Normal
Category: Special
BP: 50
Acc: 100%
PP: 10
Effect: Doubles in BP and changes type to match the current terrain. Resets the duration of the current terrain.

Move: Dive
Type: Water
BP: 90 (+10)
Accuracy: 100%
PP: 15
Effect: The user dives into a whirlpool, switching out in the process. Then, the selected user springs out of the pool the following turn, using the attack instead.
(Instruct makes the switched in mon use the move immediately, Follow me does not target due to the user of the move switching out and the other mon did not see the follow me, ignores all variations of spikes)

Move Name: Soak
Type:

BP: --
PP: 20 (Max 32)
Accuracy: 100%
Secondary Effect: Changes the target’s type and the type of its attacking moves to Water. Doesn't bypass substitute.

Move Name: Fling
Type:

BP: -
PP: 10 [Max 16]
Accuracy: 100%
Secondary Effect: Same effect as normal fling. The user regains their item at the end of the next turn or upon switching out. All Orbs now have 60 BP, while Poison Barb is now 90 BP.

Solid SpDef wall. Tapu Fini got some interesting new tools from Bust a Moves, most notably Terrain Pulse, that resets the duration of Terrains, and Purify, a move that in addition to healing status for healing itself, but also clears away stat changes, acting has a form of set up control. Dive is a pretty good pivoting tool but requires stacking another Water type to fully utilize the full potential of the move. Most of the other busted moves, while good, plays pretty counterpoint to all of Tapu Fini's strengths.

Pokemon: Chaos 4
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos
Type: Water/Fairy
Abilities: Bulletproof/Water Veil/Hydration
Stats: 95/115/85/80/95/70 (Total: 540)
Moves: Life Dew, Water Pulse, Minimize, Acid Armor, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Ice Beam, Recover, Earthquake, Drill Run, Liquidation, Surf, Scald, Sky Uppercut, Dig, Rock Climb, Waterfall, Misty Terrain, Misty Explosion, Rain Dance, Play Rough, Dazzling Gleam, Lash Out, Aqua Tail, Crunch, Double Team, Power Whip, Dive, Ancient Power, universal TMs besides Attract
Overview: A simple bulky physical attacker. With Water Veil preventing you from getting burned and Power Whip for coverage, you're a very respectable answer against a good chunk of Fire and Water types alike. You can run different coverage for certain threats or choose to run a more defensive spread with Scald and Recover. Not much else to say really.

Pokemon: Ribombee-Primarina
Mod of Origin: Impersonators
Stats: 69/62/68/109/80/142 (BST: 530)
Typing:

Abilities: Torrent / Liquid Voice
Movepool: Ribombee + Sweet Melody*
Custom Elements: Sweet Melody- Sparkling Aria but the opponent is cured of Infestation rather than Burn
(idt Z-Moves are legal, but holding Primarium Z will cause Sweet Melody to become Recite The Bee Movie Script, which is a rename of Oceanic Operetta)
Description: very speedy quiver dancer. it only has 2 options for water stab, either sweet melody for the potential torrent boost, or liquid voice bug buzz for potential spdef drops. can also set webs or even run specs. very frail physically, so it has to fear things such as melmetal and cofazor-mega.

Pokemon: Skarmory-Primordial
Mod of Origin: Breeding Variants
Stats: 65/110/140/40/70/70 (BST: 495)
Typing:

Abilities: Defeatist / Sturdy / Weak Armor
Movepool: Skarmory + Earthquake, Knock Off, U-Turn, Stone Edge, Quick Attack
Description: Its Skarmory but with more attack and some new moves, most notably Knock Off and U-Turn. An offensive Weak Armor set is now more viable thanks to its buffed attack.

Pokemon: Drakloak-Kanto (benefits from Eviolite & Everstone)
Mod of Origin: Regional Evolutions
Stats: 68/80/50/50/50/112 (BST: 410)
Typing:

Abilities: Infiltrator / Poison Point / Merciless
Movepool:
+ Poison Sting, Toxic, Poison Gas, Poison Tail, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Coil, Acid Spray, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Venom Drench
- All Dragon Type moves, Thunder Wave, Sucker Punch, Bite
Description: hmm a drakloak subbed from regional evolutions, haven't I seen this before? Drakloak-Kanto is a fast but very frail attacker with Everstone that can coil and also sleep powder for some reason. Sort of like an inverse Spectrier, where Spectrier is a Special attacker that spreads burns, while Drakloak is a Physical attacker that spreads poison.

Pokémon: Skarmory
Mod of Origin: Missing Links
Stats: 85/80/140/40/70/70
Type:

Abilities: Keen Eye / Sturdy / Weak Armor
Movepool: Skarmory's movepool
Description: It's Skarmory but with +20 HP, ooooooooooo (and a prevo, but we don't care about that here). That being said, Skarmory is a pretty ideal defensive mon, great typing, great utility, not terribly passive thanks to Body Press and Brave Bird, balanced by being easy to wall and a clear weakness in its SpD, it's just very nice to have a mon like Skarmory around.
Beats: Garbodor, Grimmsnarl-Unova, Machamp-Mega(?), Machamp-India, Magroach, Mytheon, Melmetal, Sandaconda
Can't switch into but Beats after: N/A
Loses to: Heatmor, Pincurchin, Ringo Ando, Spectrier

Pokémon: Eclipsui
Mod of Origin: Abismons
Stats: 85/115/90/115/75/100
Type:

Abilities: Pressure / Tangling Hair
Blizzard, Body Slam, Dazzling Gleam, Encore, Extrasensory, Extreme Speed, Facade, Focus Blast, Frustration, Haze, Hidden Power, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Light Screen, Liquidation, Mana Surge, Moonblast, Moonlight, Play Rough, Power Whip, Protect, Psychic, Psyshock, Reflect, Rest, Return, Roar, Scald, Shadow Ball, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Surf, Toxic, U-Turn

Aqua Ring, Attract, Aurora Beam, Bulldoze, Double Team, Draining Kiss, Endure, Fairy Wind, Fake Tears, Giga Impact, Gust, Hail, Hyper Beam, Icy Wind, Luster Purge, Mimic, Mist, Prismatic Laser, Psych Up, Quash, Rain Dance, Round, Sheer Cold, Snarl, Snore, Soak, Swagger, Tearful Look, Torment, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Whirlpool
Mana Surge - 100 BP, 90% Acc, 8 PP, Special Water-type move that removes 1 PP from the target's last used move
Description: Fun offensive pivot with great 115/115/100 offenses and decent bulk for its role balanced out by having no boosting moves and being strong, but likely not strong enough to be busted. Pretty simple. Also, this thing gets Luster Purge and Prismatic Laser for some reason, which is kinda sick
Beats: Grimmsnarl-Unova, Machamp-Mega(?), Heatmor, Magroach, Salaos
Can't switch into but Beats after: Chillyte, Corsola, Exploud, Sandaconda, Silvally
Loses to: Peasmaker, Shaymin, Pincurchin, Ringo Ando (unless Physical with Power Whip)

Pokémon: Gengar
Mod of Origin: Ubermons
Stats: 60/65/60/130/75/110 -> 60/95/90/155/90/110
Type:

Abilities: Cursed Body -> Shadow Tag
Movepool: Gengar's movepool
Shadow Tag - Opposing Pokemon loose 1/8 of their maximum HP, rounded down, when it switches out.
Description: Thanks to Wobuffet getting Shadow Tag nerfed plus some tweaked stats, Mega Gengar is balanced and a pretty sick mon. Much bulkier than base Gengar, pretty strong, and a much better ability that gets useful chip damage on threatened opponents or guarantees KOs on especially weakened ones, but it doesn't get any faster and can't hold a boosting item, so base Gengar still has a use
Beats: Slowcone
Can't switch into but Beats after: Cofazor, Peasmaker, Shaymin
Loses to: Garbodor, Mytheon, Salaos
(Every other matchup is entirely decided by either Gengar's or the opponent's coverage)

Typing:

Abilities: Competitive / Serene Grace | Technician (HA)
Movepool: Ledian's movepool minus Toxic, plus Vacuum Wave, Aura Sphere, Focus Blast*, Final Gambit, Thunderbolt, Dazzling Gleam, Calm Mind, Psychic and Psyshock
Custom Elements: Focus Blast now have 85% Accuracy.
Description: Calm Mind sweeper or Technician user for Hidden Power and Vacuum Wave, Ledacle stands out among Fighting-type, even within MonoThreat ReBalanced, by being a special-oriented Fighting-type. Focus Blast's buffed Accuracy is a boon, especially if stacked with Wide Lens' Accuracy boost by 15%. Thunderbolt serves as counter against Flying-type threats, but Ledacle should otherwise avoid confronting them at all cost.

Movepool: Obstagoon's movepool + Foul Play, Stealth Rock, Wish, Frustration, Hidden Power, Toxic
Custom Elements: Rebel - "When there is a negative stat change on the field, attacks on the users side of the field deal an extra 30% of damage or a 1.3 modifier to damage."
Description: Mega Obstagoon can take advantage of any stat decrease (except its own decreased attack unless you had Defiant prior to Mega Evolving) of any Pokémon, including it's own reduced stat stages, with Rebel, giving it extra oomph at the right situation and with Intimidate spam or Sticky Web setup (see Ribombee-Primarina) being a possibility. It can also provide support with Wish for healing, U-Turn for momentum or scouting, and Stealth Rock for... you know.

Pokemon: Johtonese Froslass
Creator: KeeganSkymin4444
Mod of Origin: Regional Variants
Stats: 70/55/65/110/65/115 (BST: 480)
Typing:

Abilities: Cloud Nine | Flower Veil (HA)
Movepool: Froslass's movepool + Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Wood Hammer, Vine Whip, Grassy Terrain, Ingrain, Solar Beam, Earth Power, Earthquake, Rototiller, Power Gem, Sunny Day, Petal Dance, Petal Blizzard, Sandstorm, Calm Mind, Reflect, Magical Leaf, Nature Power Removed: Aurora Veil, Avalanche, Destiny Bond, Ice Beam, Ice Fang, Ice Punch, Ice Shard, Pain Split, Sucker Punch, Switcheroo, Astonish, Blizzard, Confuse Ray, Embargo, Fling, Frost Breath, Icy Wind, Ominous Wind, Payback, Snatch, Torment

Flower Veil Reminder (Source: Bulbapedia, Flower Veil (Ability): "Flower Veil prevents the Pokémon with this Ability (if it is Grass-type) and its Grass-type allies (including non-adjacent allies) from having their stats lowered by other Pokémon. Self-inflicted stat reductions, such as from Leaf Storm or Weak Armor, are not prevented. If a Grass-type Pokémon has Contrary, Flower Veil prevents the Pokémon's stats from being lowered after accounting for Contrary.

Flower Veil also prevents the Pokémon with this Ability (if it is Grass-type) and its Grass-type allies (including non-adjacent allies) from being afflicted by non-volatile status conditions or Yawn. However, it will not prevent a Pokémon from falling asleep if it is already drowsy from Yawn. This Ability has no effect on Rest, the Flame Orb, or the Toxic Orb."

Description: Flower Veil is pretty powerful if a Grass-type Pokémon have it, so Johtonese Froslass have something going for it for certain. Not only it won't have to worry about Sticky Webs and unlucky SpA drop from opponent's Moonblast, but it also never have to worry about Paralysis, Sleep, Freeze and Poison + Toxic, making it a threat against walls. Although a double-weakness to Ice is devastating, it do have Power Gem to make sure Flying-type and Ice-type threats won't switch in so safely.

Type:

1637072939943.png
(Same as base form)
Ability: Gravitational Pull (While this pokemon is active, hazard's on the either side of the field orbits it until it switches out. While hazards are in orbit, if the opponent makes contact each hazard causes its own effect. This pokemon is also immune to hazards.)
Toxic Spikes = Poison, Toxic depending on the layer count
Stealth Rock = Deals the same stealth rock damage, including its type effectiveness.
Spikes = 1/8th, 1/6th, 1/4th depending on the layer count (either side)
Sticky Webs = Lower's speed 1 stage.
Movepool: Torterra's Movepool + Grav Apple, Body Press, Meteor Beam
Description:
So basically Torterra looks like a planet, and more specifically it looks like the earth. It sustains life and has a rare typing, Grass/Ground. This mega doesn't do much for base Torterra other than increase its stats but it also gives it an interesting role against hazards. With its new ability, Gravitational Pull, It uses hazards on either side of the field defensively. This also brings good hazard control as Torterra can reward hazard stacking for the user, and punish hazard stacking for the opponent. Torterra can set its own stealth rocks, giving it a freebie if it wants. Torterra being capable of switching into hazards freely allows it to capitalize more on this effect, as it also cannot have its entry hazards removed while it is active. If you manage to stack a full layer of Spikes and Toxic Spikes, along with stealth rocks you can constantly rack up damage as long as the opponent makes contact. Combine Torterra with leech seed or synthesis and its good to go.

So I'm pretty sure everyone's heard the way Isaac Newton was lead to develop theories about gravity. An apple falling from a tree. Torterra has a big tree on it, so why not give it Grav Apple? It makes perfect sense. Gravity and apples. Torterra becoming large enough to gain a gravitational pull, you get the point. Grav Apple is a neat addition because it can punish switching. Rather than making Torterra rock polish and sweep everything you can slowly lower the foes defense, and hit them with Body Press or Earthquake. Grav Apple also saves Torterra the trouble of having to run Wood Hammer.

More subs later (I hope this isn't too overpowered)

Stereotypes mon dump done in 20 minutes.

Pokémon: Beetilient
Mod of Origin: Stereotypes
Stats: 75/110/135/40/70/70 (500 BST)
Type: Bug/Fighting
Abilities: Shell Armor/Stamina/(Mirror Armor)
Notable Moves: Body Press, Darkest Lariat, Earthquake, Iron Defense, Roost, Spikes, Toxic
Description: Bug/Fighting has always been a nice physically defensive typing due to Ground, Fighting and Dark resists especially. Beetilient can switch into common moves of these types such as Earthquake, Close Combat and Knock Off to get an easy Stamina boost. Its Body Presses already hit quite hard without one, but after a boost, you have an actual wallbreaking threat on your hands. Besides that, it's a nice physically defensive mon as it also gets access to Roost, Spikes and Toxic, giving it some utility besides just tanking.

Pokémon: Slashowa
Mod of Origin: Stereotypes
Stats: 70/55/70/115/65/115
Type: Normal/Dark
Abilities: Soundproof/Technician/(Punk Rock)
Notable Moves: Fiery Wrath, Fire Blast, Glare, Hyper Voice, Ice Beam, Knock Off, Parting Shot, Switcheroo, U-Turn
Description: Good choice user thanks to solid offensive stats, spammable stabs, pivoting and Switcheroo. Normal/Dark coverage is pretty good, but it can also dip into the rest of its movepool for more coverage if it needs to. It alsk has some miscellaneous utility options like Knock or Glare if you want to use those ig.

Pokémon: Akanalud
Mod of Origin: Stereotypes
Stats: 109/71/82/113/119/9
Type: Grass/Ground
Abilities: Dry Skin/Sand Veil/(Sand Spit)
Notable Moves: Aromatherapy, Flip Turn, Leech Seed, Scorching Sands, Shore Up, Sleep Powder, Stealth Rock, Toxic
Description: Huge spdef with some of the slowest pivoting besides teleport. Gets rocks and recovery and can be annoying with Leech, Toxic and Sleep Powder. Scorching Sands can cause burns making it pretty hard to switch physical attackers into it. It also has Aromatherapy for teams that need it. Struggles against flying types though.

A very versatile Dark, Cadbunny can either be used offensively or defensively, with decent bulk and an incredible ability in Regen. It also comes with a great (albeit small) movepool and an extremely unique gimmick in Flash Handoff, allowing it to support mons like Ringo Ando and Hypnosis Gengar, if not sillier options like Inferno Heatmor.

Wacky special attacker with a billion different options. Dancer + Petal Dance is insane priority, while Sand Rush can be used to great effect with Dust Storm and support from Sandaconda/Silvally, and Storm Drain is still solid if you're not going for synergy with its other abilities. It also has a bunch of utility, from status spreading to hazard stacking to a really weird anti-wall anti-setup move in Mosh Pit. Should be a unique addition, at least.
