Now before we announce our next slate, some heads up. We did some playtesting, and have observed several top players in our midst. Pokémon like Mega Bisharp, Miemie (especially Miemie) and Kyurem-Black are top threats within the tier. Now, while this Pet Mod is always fun > competitive, we are sustaining a fully playable metagame, and we want that meta to at least be enjoyable. We aren't doing any full type counters yet, as we want to see how these Pokémon play out much more and we got a type schedule to fill out. Yet still, these typings were to be the last of the cycle, and I decided to swap them around so 1) [WE CAN GET MORE GRASS/NORMAL IDEAS BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT] and 2) These typings have somewhat favorable results versus quite a few of the menaces out right now, and while this slate isn't being dedicated to beating them, a few extra defensive and / or offensive checks before a full playtesting would not hurt at all. Anywho....

Slate 20: Electric/Poison, Fairy/Flying, Fighting/Water

You know what to do.

... Well, I might as well sub another Metroid character that I got into CC. More likely to be busted than Ridley, though.

Pokemon: Dark Samus
Type: Poison/Electric
Stats: 85/90/80/125/105/95
Abilities: Phazon Body (Reduces damage taken from special ballistic moves and moves boosted by Mega Launcher by 50%. These do not stack)/Filter
Custom Moves:
Phazon Bullets
- Type: Poison
- Classification: Special
- Power: 110
- Accuracy: 85
- PP: 5 (max 8)
- Effect: Hits all opposing Pokemon. Ballistic.

Grapple Beam
- Type: Electric
- Classification: Special
- Power: 50
- Accuracy: 100
- PP: 15 (max 24)
- Effect: Pursuit effects.
Other Moves: Thunderbolt, Discharge, Charge Beam, Wild Charge, Thunder Punch, Zap Cannon, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Dark Pulse, Pursuit, Sucker Punch, Throat Chop, Aurora Beam, Flash Cannon, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, Night Shade, Psywave, Nasty Plot, Recover, Lock-On, Torment, Toxic, Double Team, Defense Curl, Confuse Ray, Magnet Rise
Overview: Nasty Plot sweeper or Specs user. Notably has a strong special Poison STAB and a special Electric Pursuit, but viable coverage is limited to Aurora Beam and maybe Dark Pulse. It could play bulky with Recover against certain special mons via Phazon Body, but that's still shaky. Specs with the Pursuit clone is probably the best set, though Plot with speed control could be usable.

Pokémon: Egelan Eelektross
Mod of Origin: Earth & Sky
Stats: 85/115/80/105/80/50 (same as Unovan)
Type: Electric/Poison
Abilities: Levitate, Gooey
Notable Moves: Coil, Discharge, Flamethrower, Grass Knot, Slip Away (Protect + switches out on its turn), Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Surf, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Toxic, U-turn, Volt Switch
Acrobatics, Attract, Brick Break, Brine, Charge Beam (40 BP, always raises Sp. Atk), Coil, Crunch, Crush Claw (80 BP, 100% accuracy), Discharge, Dive (90 BP), Dragon Claw, Dragon Tail, Endure, Façade, Flamethrower, Flash, Flash Cannon, Frustration, Giga Impact, Grass Knot, Headbutt, Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Ion Deluge, Light Screen, Poison Fang, Protect, Rain Dance, Rest, Return, Rock Slide, Rock Smash (Always lowers Defense), Rock Tomb (70 BP, 90% accuracy), Round, Secret Power, Sleep Talk, Slip Away, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Substitute, Surf, Thrash, Thunder, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Toxic, U-Turn, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Zap Cannon
Description: This slippery variant of Eelektross is thought to be even more primitive than the original, and it can generate copious amounts of slime. Levitate is a great complement to its typing just as it is to the original, it gains a great second pivot move option in Slip Away, and it still has almost all of the good coverage and stuff that makes Eelektross the terror of PU.

Pokémon: Egelan Rapidash
Mod of Origin: Earth & Sky
Stats: 65/100/60/90/80/105 (500 BST)
Type: Fairy/Flying
Abilities: Serene Grace, Flash Fire, Wonder Skin
Notable Moves: Dazzling Gleam, Drill Peck, Drill Run, Fell Swoop (Flying, Physical, 100 BP, 75% accuracy, 20% to flinch), Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Fly, Horn Leech, Hurricane, Megahorn, Morning Sun, Mystical Fire, Overheat, Play Rough, Roost
Agility, Ally Switch, Attract, Captivate, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, Double Kick, Double-Edge, Drill Peck (high crit chance), Drill Run (100% accuracy, 20 BP), Echoed Voice, Endure, Façade, Fairy Fire, Fell Swoop, Fire Blast, Flame Charge, Flame Wheel, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Flash, Fly (100% accuracy, 10 PP), Frustration, Giga Impact, Growl, Hidden Power, Horn Drill, Horn Leech, Hurricane, Hyper Beam, Hypnosis, Low Kick, Megahorn, Morning Sun (75% heal in clear skies, 50% in sun, 25% in others), Mystical Fire (70 BP), Natural Gift, Overheat, Play Rough, Pounce (Fairy, Physical, 50 BP, 90% accuracy, 30 PP, 10% to flinch), Protect, Rest, Return, Roost, Round, Secret Power, Sleep Talk, Smart Strike, Solar Beam, Steel Wing, Stomp, Strength, Substitute, Sunny Day, Tackle, Tail Whip, Tailwind, Take Down, Thrash, Wild Charge, Will-O-Wisp, Wing Attack
Description: The pegasus Game Freak chickened out on in Galar. It's, well, not that much different than regular Rapidash, to be honest. It has a new typing, new STAB moves to go with it, and its most interesting Ability is the one that didn't change, as it is the only Pokemon with Flash Fire that isn't itself a Fire-type.

Pokémon: Pikeral (Red-Striped)
Mod of Origin: Earth & Sky
Stats: 70/112/75/100/65/108 (530 BST)
Type: Water/Fighting
Abilities: Reckless, Adaptability, Mold Breaker
Notable Moves: Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Close Combat, Crunch, Drain Punch, Focus Blast, Head Smash, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Mach Punch, Surf, Waterfall
Agility, Aqua Jet, Aqua Tail, Attract, Bite, Bounce, Brick Break, Brine, Bubble Beam, Bulk Up, Chip Away, Close Combat, Compensation, Crunch, Dive, Double-Edge, Drain Punch, Dual Chop, Embargo (removes item), Endeavor, Endure, Façade, Final Gambit, Flail, Focus Blast, Frustration, Giga Impact, Glare, Hail, Head Smash, Headbutt, Hidden Power, Hydro Pump, Hyper Beam, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind (90% accuracy), Mach Punch, Mud Shot, Muddy Water, Payback, Protect, Quash, Rage (raises Sp. Atk and Speed as well), Rain Dance, Rest, Return, Revenge, Rock Smash, Round, Scald (70 BP), Scary Face, Secret Power, Sleep Talk, Snore, Soak (changes secondary type instead of whole type), Strength, Submission, Substitute, Superpower, Surf, Swift, Tackle, Tail Whip, Take Down, Taunt, Thief, Thrash, Uproar, Waterfall, Whirlpool (20 BP, 100% accuracy), White Water (Water-type, Physical, 40 BP, 100% accuracy), Zen Headbutt
Description: Pop-eye is here to eat spinach and kick some ass, and he's all out of spinach (Wait a second...). This pirate pike nearly rivals the power of Crawdaunt's Adapability-boosted moves, but unlike Crawdaunt, its secondary typing has a 120 BP move and a priority move. It's a popular choice in the few battles Earth & Sky has seen.

Stuff in italics is changed from regular Gen 8 metagames.

I’m new to the mod, but that’s because I waited for this type combination to enter the submission that started my Pet Mods career (that and I only have so many submissions in pet mods but whatever)

Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution UU
Types:

Ability: Hydraulic Cannon = (Swift Swim + Mega Launcher)
Ability Description: Combined effect of both the abilities.
Moveset: All of Poliwrath’s moves + all of Clawitzer’s moves
Notable Moves:
Flip Turn
Hydro Pump, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse

Role Justification: Bread and butter Special Wallbreaker, which is rare for fighting mons, with solid coverage and an option for offensive pivoting. Swift Swim sweeper waiting to happen as well. This is also my son please do not disappoint my precious boy.

Types:

Abilities: Technician | Poison Heal
Movepool: Grapploct's Movepool + Aqua Jet, Toxic (rest in peace Flip Turn)

Grapploct serves as a solid defensive pivot / glue mon that can help hold down offensive threats like Arcanine and Bisharp, while also having the option of running Offensive sets that can bully teams w/ strong priority.

Pokemon: Enamorus-Therian
Mod of Origin: The Ema Mod
Stats: 74 HP / 115 Atk / 110 Def / 135 SpA / 100 SpD / 46 Spe
Abilities: Overcoat
Notable Moves: Springtide Storm*, Moonblast, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Mystical Fire, U-Turn, Knock Off, Psychic, Focus Blast, Defog
*Springtide Storm: 95 BP, 95 acc, 10% chance to lower foe's Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe

Therian Enamorus is a fat defensive pivot, with an awful speed tier. No recovery keeps it from being too insane but it can pull off quite a few defensive roles. Could possibly pull of some cool Calm Mind sets due to how effective Fairy STAB+Ground coverage is.

Checks/counters include Mega Bisharp, Shedinja, SpDef Melmetal, Cofazor and Gengar; generally Fairy resists that can outspeed or can survive an Earth Power.

Pokemon: Enamorus
Mod of Origin: The Ema Mod
Stats: 74 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 135 SpA / 80 SpD / 106 Spe (Incarnate) || 74 HP / 115 Atk / 110 Def / 135 SpA / 100 SpD / 46 Spe (Therian)
Abilities: Healer | Contrary (Incarnate) || Overcoat (Therian)
Notable Moves: Springtide Storm*, Moonblast, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Mystical Fire, U-Turn, Knock Off, Psychic, Focus Blast, Defog
*Springtide Storm: 95 BP, 95 acc, 10% chance to boost Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe (in Incarnate form) or lower foe's Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe (in Therian form)

Two birds, one stone! Incarnate Enamorus is an incredible offensive Pokemon, with access to the lucrative Fairy/Ground combo and the right coverage moves to pick off the remaining Pokemon that resist that combo. This lets it take on a variety of offensive roles, from CM set up to Choice Scarf. Therian Enamorus is a fat defensive pivot, with an awful speed tier. No recovery keeps it from being too insane but it can pull off quite a few defensive roles. Both forms generally have to make progress without an ability, as the only Contrary move it gets is Superpower (but has no physical STAB to complement it).

Checks/counters to both forms include Mega Bisharp, Shedinja, SpDef Melmetal, Cofazor and Gengar; generally Fairy resists that can outspeed or can survive an Earth Power.
does this have a move or ability to swap between forms or something? If not, of course you have to submit one.

Pokémon: Enamorus
Mod of Origin: The Ema Mod
Stats: 74/115/70/135/80/106 (580)
Type:

Abilities: Contrary / Healer (HA)
Movepool: a lot
Notable Moves: Springtide Storm, Moonblast, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Mystical Fire, U-Turn, Knock Off, Psychic, Focus Blast, Defog

Descriptions: Strong offensive Pivot/Special Wallbreaker. Springtide Storm is a good move on Healer sets, while Moonblast is a good alternative for contrary sets. Speaking of which, Physical Contrary sets act as both asa Utility mon and as a Wallbreaker with U-turn, Knock Off, Superpower and Play Rough.

Pokémon: Eeluk
Mod of Origin: FEUU
Stats: 105/120/87/95/100/60 (567)
Type:

Abilities: Sticky Float
Movepool: Eelektross + Muk
Notable Moves: Coil, Drain Punch, Fire Blast, Giga Drain, Knock Off, Poison Jab, Shadow Sneak, Superpower, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, U-turn

Descriptions: Great typing and good bulk combined with an amazing ability and you have a fantastic offensive or defensive Pivot. It can use Knock Off, U-turn/Volt Switch, Toxic/Thunder Wave and other support options to support its team. It can switch into Knock Offs, which allows you to run Mega Gengar or Mega Cofazor since they wouldn't be tasked with absorbing Knock Offs.

Pokémon: Griztrom
Mod of Origin: North & South
Stats: 95/121/82/75/72/80 (525)
Type:

Abilities: Torrent / Anticipation (HA) / Weak Spotter (SA)
Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Reflect, Safeguard, Imprison, Shadow Claw, Stomping Tantrum, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Focus Energy, Taunt, Skill Swap, Calm Mind, Poison Jab, Wild Charge, Throat Chop, Body Press
Notable Moves: Bulk Up, Close Combat, Crunch, Liquidation, Poison Jab, Taunt

Descriptions: Genesect incoming, but worse. It doesn't have a pivoting move and its set-up options are worse but it is still a strong Pokemon. It can eventually get a free Band boost or its special coverage moves can get a free Specs boost, but no better which boost, it can abuse it with any move it wants. Bulk Up and Calm Mind (to an lesser extend) are great moves too.

Springtide Storm: 95 BP, 95 acc, 10% chance to raise user's Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe

Sticky Float: Sticky Hold + Levitate

Griztrom
Weak Spotter: On switch-in, Attack or Sp. Atk is raised by 1 stage based on foes' weaker Defense.

Forgot to sub last slate, subbing early so I don't forget this time.

* = Custom Element

:ss/milotic:
Pokemon: Milotic-Alola
Mod of Origin: DLCmons v2
Stats: 95 / 60 / 79 / 125 / 100 / 81 [BST: 540]
Typing:

Ability: Levitate

Notable Moves:
- N/A
- Earth Power, Sludge Bomb, Solvent Shot*, Surf, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch
- Calm Mind, Recover
Movepool = Milotic’s Gen 7 Movepool + Acid, Acid Armor, Acid Spray, Calm Mind, Charge, Charge Beam, Clear Smog, Discharge, Earth Power, Ion Deluge, Magnetic Flux, Sludge, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Solvent Shot, Spark, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Shock, Thunder Wave, Venoshock, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Zap Cannon, - Aqua Ring, Aqua Tail, Avalanche, Brine, Blizzard, Hail, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Mud Sport, Scald, Waterfall, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Water Sport, Whirlpool
Short Circuit
|
| 130bp | 90% acc | 8pp
Lowers the user's Attack by 2.
Priority: 0 | Targets one adjacent mon

Solvent Shot
|
| 70bp | 100% acc | 32pp
10% chance to badly Poison. Super effective on Steel.
Priority: 0 | Secondary | Targets one adjacent mon
Poison / Electric mons with Levitate are a classic fakemon archetype, and while Milotic-Alola is one of the newer additions to the pool, it stands out from the rest with Recover, excellent coverage, and an incredible signature move to punish otherwise-strong typings in Solvent Shot. Mon's got a lot of set diversity too: CM, Recover + 3A, Stallbreaker, Choiced, even AV on occasion.

1644955840654.png

Pokemon: Storrow
Mod of Origin: Branched Potential
Stats: 90 / 110 / 90 / 60 / 85/ 102 [BST: 537]
Typing:

Abilities: Keen Eye / Magic Guard

Notable Moves:
- Brave Bird, Drill Run, Play Rough, Throat Chop, U-Turn
- Heat Wave, Hidden Power
- Defog, Roost, Swords Dance
Movepool = Fearow's Movepool + Brave Bird, Play Rough, Swords Dance, - Quick Attack, Sky Attack, Swagger
Branched Potential's mascot (I think?) is a mon that makes excellent use of Magic Guard, protecting it from SR and taking the downside out of Life Orb and Brave Bird. Defensive and offensive sets both seem strong here.

:ss/keldeo-resolute:
Pokemon: Keldeo-Resolute
Mod of Origin: Logicmons v2 (Gen 8)
Stats: 91 / 72 / 90 / 129 / 90 / 108 [BST: 580]
Typing:

Ability: Quick Feet (Base form's ability is still Justified)

Notable Moves:
- Flip Turn
- Air Slash, Hydro Pump, Icy Wind, Scald, Secret Sword
- Calm Mind, Substitute, Taunt
Movepool is unchanged
I'm not entirely sure whether this is considered an in or out-of-battle form change. If it's the former this is a sub for both, with Keldeo having Quick Feet whenever it has Secret Sword. If it's the latter, this is a sub for Resolute Keldeo only, meaning it must always have Secret Sword in its movepool, but that's the mon's best move so it doesn't matter much. Keld's definitely fallen off in recent gens, but Quick Feet is an excellent buff, allowing it to run Flame Orb in place of Scarf, or threaten to absorb status to gain Scarf speed on other sets.

Pokémon: Eelektross
Mod of Origin: JolteMons
Stats: 85/115/80/105/80/50
Type:

Abilities: Levitate / Neuroforce / Swift Swim
Movepool: Eelektross's movepool + Lightning Lance, Sky Uppercut, Electro Ball, Flip Turn, Acidic Fists, Mud Spike, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Surf, Sludge Bomb, Toxic Spikes, Liquidation, Venoshock, Ice Punch, Toxic Thread, Scald
Lightning Lance - 110 BP Physical Electric-type move, 100% Accuracy, 10 PP, Lowers the user's Attack and Special Defense by 1 stage
Sky Uppercut - 70 BP Physical Fighting-type move, 100% Accuracy, 15 PP, Super effective on Flying
Electro Ball - Special Electric Body Press clone, works off the Speed stat
Acidic Fists - Poison-type Psychic Fangs clone, 90 BP, Punch move
Mud Spike - 85 BP Physical Ground-type move, 100% Accuracy, 10 PP, 10% chance to the Poison the foe, 30% if the user is a Poison-type
Toxic Thread - Now badly poisons the target and lowers their Speed by 2
Thunder Punch - 85 BP
Fire Punch - 85 BP
Ice Punch - 85 BP
Crush Claw - 20 BP Physical Dark-type move, Hits twice, 100% chance to lower the target's Defense
Signal Beam - Now has a 100% chance to lower the target's Speed by 1 stage
Venoshock - Now doubles in power if the target has any status condition
Description: Jolte Eelektross is a surprisingly effective a versatile attacker. Here, its best use will likely be a 4 Attacks pivot set, with a great defensive typing thanks to Levitate, an amazing movepool, a lot of power with 115 Attack, and learning every single damaging pivoting move. Also, if any Rain ever gets added to the meta, it's got Swift Swim and STAB Thunder with Water coverage

Calm Mind, Aromatherapy, Defog
Description: Abuse Technician + Draining Kiss/Air Cutter. There's also coverage under your belt like Giga Drain and Focus Blast, and it has Defog, Moonblast and Aromatherapy in case if you want to do some defensive shenanigans. However it is a Flying type, which means you gotta have HDB and no recovery really sucks too.

Pokémon: Uumuu

Movepool: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Venoshock, Dazzling Gleam, Toxic Spikes, Recover, Surf, Scald, Fire Blast, Will-o-Wisp, Focus Blast, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Roar
Overview: The thickest of the many Levitate users with this type combination. Calm Mind user / Toxic Spikes setter / shuffler / pivot / tank.

Pokémon: Suguri
Mod of Origin: Crossover Chaos
Stats: 70/115/70/115/70/130 (570 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Motor Drive, Air Lock
Movepool: Play Rough, Sacred Sword, Swords Dance, X-Scissor, Air Slash, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Slash, Charge Beam, Zap Cannon, Flamethrower, Lock-On, Laser Focus, Aerial Ace, Agility, Dive, Thunderbolt, Deploy Missiles (Steel-type Rock Blast), Solar Blade, Psycho Cut, Homing Missile,* Rapid Spin, Drill Run, Attack Order, Grassy Terrain, Nature Power, Defog, Nature's Madness
*Fire, Physical, 75 BP, 15 PP | Bypasses accuracy checks. Blocked by Bulletproof.
Overview: anime Swords Dance user or offensive hazard cleaner with solid Ability choices and offensive stats to match. (She will likely prefer Motor Drive for the immunity to Thunder Wave and Volt Switch, but Air Lock provides an anti-weather niche if needed.) Being limited to Air Slash, Flamethrower, and Thunderbolt (or Charge Beam if you're into that) is unfortunate for the special side, but the physical side has everything it needs in Play Rough, Drill Run, Sacred Sword, and Homing Missile. (The former two beg for Wide Lens, though, to be honest.) Psycho Cut is also considerable, if only for airborne Poison-types.

:mantine:
Pokémon: Grapploct-Ray

Type:

Abilities: Limber, Water Veil, Technician
Movepool: Grapploct moves, Roost, Gunk Shot, Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Rock Blast
Overview: Kinda looks like a Water-type Hitmonchan, albeit bolstered by reliable recovery and Water Veil. It will likely want to run Bulk Up alongside such tools, whether rolling with dual STAB or packing a coverage option such as Ice Punch, Sucker Punch, or anything it inherits from Mantine.
