Congratz to the winners. We will be taking a playtesting break to establish the metagame. In the meantime we will put in place a poll to decide how we move forward - do we follow Stereotypes lead, or do we forge our own path based on this meta's own needs? Hopefully you all decide!

Oof. Well it's been a few days, unfortunately we didn't get implemented yet, but from the poll I conducted its obvious people want to shift away from the Stereotypes model. My very rough estimates also have determined what Pokémon so far are considered major threats within the metagame (mainly Salaos, Kokovoir and to a lesser extent Shaymin). Therefore I think have crafted the typing that can suitably handle them the best

Slate 7: Dark/Fighting, Steel/Ghost and Grass/Flying

It goes without saying that Pokémon that have the same type combination but reversed (Fighting/Dark, Ghost/Steel and Flying/Grass) are still eligible for submitting this Slate. Finally, items are now allowed! Unlike in Smash, however, signature items do not add their native users to the meta, otherwise just ruins the point. So, be smart in submitting and voting for items, as it's a lot harder to "get mons in" to abuse them with the limited format. Good luck everyone!

:ss/pikachu-libre:
Pokemon: Pikachu Libre
MoO: Alternatium
Type: Fighting/Dark
Abilities: Defiant
Stats: 80 / 110 / 55 / 50 / 55 / 65 (BST: 415)
Movepool: Pikachu Libre's Movepool + Body Press, Slack Off, Taunt, Drain Punch, Power Trip, Bulk Up
Description: Disencourages Defog and has decent stats and movepool

:ss/aegislash:
Pokemon: Aegishield
MoO: Alternatium
Type: Ghost/Steel
Abilities: Clear Body
Stats: 60 / 50 / 140 / 50 / 140 / 60 (BST: 500)
Movepool: Aegislash's Movepool + Slack Off, Night Shade, Volt Switch
Description: Very bulky with utility in exchange for being kind of passive and slow.

:ss/shaymin-sky:
Pokemon: Shaymin-Sky
MoO: Alternatium
Type: Grass/Flying
Abilities: Cloud Nine / Flower Veil (H: Drought)
Stats: 65 / 93 / 125 / 93 / 75 / 127 (BST: 578)
Movepool: Shaymin-Sky's Movepool + Weather Ball, Solar Blade, Dual Wingbeat, Acrobatics, Flower Shield, Bounce, Oblivion Wing - Seed Flare
Description: "Shaymin-Sky is a sun abuser, not too creative, I know. But just take the time to appreciate the idea of a form-changing ability, that doesn't actually change its form depending on how its coded. Aside from the niche Flower Gift, Drought allows Shaymin to use its speed to good use, because all it needs is one growth to begin its sweep, using Solar Blade, Weather Ball and Oblivion Wing as its main methods of attacking. It prefers to go mixed for weather ball and recovery on the spot and the ability to take out Kyogre if it comes in." -abismal
The only thing I want to add is that Kyogre doesn't exist in this meta and Flower Gift doesn't have a form change (I think).

Item: Necter
MoO: Crossover Chaos
Effect: Holder is immune to Bug-type attacks. The item is eaten by the foe when holder is hit.
Fling: 60
Description: U-Turn is, I'm fairly sure, the only pivoting move that deals damage and is unblockable. This changes that, this can stop pesky pokemon from u-turning out of battle.

Item: Scrambler
MoO: Crossover Chaos
Effect: Holder is immune to sound-based moves and Taunt but confuses the holder when blocking a move.
Fling: 10
Description: idk this is kind of funny against Exploud-Meow.

Items, you say?

Item: Darwin's Danger Shield
Franchise: Team Fortress 2
Pet Mod: Crossover Chaos V2
Submitted by: Mygavolt
Effect: Self-announces on switch-in. Holder takes half damage from Fire-type attacks and no damage from burn.
Fling: 20 BP
Reasoning in Crossover Chaos V2: One of a few secondary Sniper "weapons," to be worn on one's back as a means of protection from flames like those favored by Pyros. In its game of origin, it passively grants 50% Fire damage resistance and 100% Afterburn damage immunity.
Competitive Use: Allows the holder to tank Fire-type moves better, and Special Attackers also not to worry about Burn damage, making it useful to soak the Burn status.

Item: Wide Lens
Pet Mod: MonoThreat ReBalanced
Submitted by: Samtendo09
Effect: Accuracy is boosted by 15%. In addition, moves with 95% accuracy or lower will have their Base Power boosted by 20%.
Fling: 10 BP
Competitive Use: Give chances for moves with less than 100% accuracy - including stuff with 95% accuracy - to not only have slightly better chance of hitting, but also hit somewhat harder. Think of Expert Belt but for non-100% accuracy moves instead of Super Effective damage. Focus Blast, for example, have the BP boosted from 120 to 144, and have 70% accuracy to a more acceptable ±80% accuracy. Even Iron Tail and Aqua Tail will see more usage through this move thanks to upping their accuracy to 100%, hopefully widening coverage with moves that are somehow 95% accuracy.

Item: Foulness Policy
Pet Mod: MonoThreat ReBalanced
Submitted by: Samtendo09
Effect: Cannot be Knocked Off. If the user is about to be hit by a Dark-type move, take 25% less damage and gain +2 Spcial Attack. One-time.
Fling: 80 BP
Competitive Use: A Knock Off deterring item that Special Attackers will greatly appreciate, with a catch that like Weakness Policy, it is a one-time boost. This is a situational item that, considering how annoyingly ubiquitous Knock Off is, might still see some use.

Item: Weather Warriors Crystal
Pet Mod: Sylvemons
Effect: When a weather is active, holder's Atk and Sp.Atk are raised by 1 each. 1 use only.
Fling: 60
Competitive Use: idk man, theres currently only 2 weather mons, i guess this is supposed to make those mons better or make other mons better that abuse weather better.

Pokemon: Cofazor
MoO: Fusion Evolution UU
Type: Ghost/Steel
Ability: Teaching Tech* (boosts moves with 60 base power or less by 1.5x. if hitting something with such a move: changes their ability to this one.)
Stats: 65 | 90 | 125 | 88 | 95 | 67
Movepool: Scizor's Movepool + Cofagrigus' Movepool

Pokemon: Cofazor-Mega
MoO: Fusion Evolution UU
Type: Ghost/Steel
Ability: Technician
Stats: 65 | 110 | 165 | 98 | 115 | 77
Movepool: Scizor's Movepool + Cofagrigus' Movepool

Pokemon: Aegislash
Mod of Origin: CCAPM 2
Stats: 50/125/150/50/65/40 (BST: 480)
Type:

Abilities: Adaptive / Contradict / Counter Shield / Elemental / Embargo Act / Exhaust / Forager / Identity Theft / In Extremis / Lag Behind / Prepared / Survey / Terror / Trigger Finger / Unflagging (all are custom)
Movepool: - Close Combat, Shadow Sneak, Swords Dance
Custom Elements:
Adaptive- After the user takes direct damage, heal 1/4 of the damage taken.
Contradict- Announced on switch-in. User's physical moves become special, and special moves become physical.
Counter Shield- Takes 3/4 damage from Super Effective moves. When hit by one, attacker loses 1/8 max HP
Elemental- User is immune to moves it shares a type with
Embargo Act- While the user is active, opponents cannot use items
Exhaust- User's attacks deal 1.2x damage, but cost 2 PP instead of 1
Forager- Gluttony + Recycles a Berry it has consumed upon switching out
Identity Theft- When the user makes contact with an opponent, they swap abilities
In Extremis- Berserk but it boost's the user's highest raw stat
Lag Behind- Stall + user's moves deal 1.3x damage
Prepared- Anticipation + heal 1/4 max HP upon triggering
Survey- Raise Accuracy by 1 upon switch in
Terror- Lower opponent's Speed by 1 upon switch in
Trigger Finger- Upon switching in, user's first move has +1 priority. If it is an attack, it deals 2/3x damage.
Unflagging- User heals 1/16 max HP at the end of each turn while statused. Immune to all effects of status besides damage from Burn, Poison, and Toxic. Rest fails when used.

Description: Not even sure if this is legal lmao. Aegislash has 15 custom abilities, all with their own uses. It can control speed with Terror or Trigger Finger, deal more damage with Exhaust or Lag Behind, or even do some shenanigans such as pillaging with Identity Theft, berry mon with Forager, or flip its movepool with Contradict (probably bad, but hey it gets Flying coverage). Unfortunatley, Aegislash's stats are very bad outside of Attack and Defense, and it loses some of its best movepool options in CC, Sneak, and SD. However, I think that Aegislash's sheer versatility can make up for those shortcomings.

Pokemon: Ostria
Mod of Origin: Roulettemons
Stats: 74/141/74/101/160/50 (BST: 600)
Type:

Abilities: Anticipation / Protean / Shed Skin
Movepool:
- Cross Chop, Drill Peck, Fake Out, High Jump Kick, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Leaf Blade, Outrage, Sacred Fire
- Aeroblast, Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Energy Ball, Scald, Steam Eruption
- Aurora Veil, Defog, Hone Claws, Moonlight, Roar
Dive, Double Kick, Magnitude, Metal Claw, Phantom Force, Retaliate, Steamroller, Stomp, Take Down, Ancient Power, Dragon Rage, Flower Shield, Hold Hands, Magnetic Flux, Mind Reader, Noble Roar, Poison Gas, Purify, Quash, Wide Guard

Description: Unfortunately Ostria's best ability, Protean, is banned. However, Ostria is a strong physical wallbreaker with massive special bulk to make up for its low speed. It also has a great movepool, including wide coverage, recovery, setup, and defog. It is a grass/flying type, so it does have to look out for the other roulettmon, chillyte.

Pokémon: Spirox
Mod of Origin: Stereotypes
Stats: 71/62/66/113/101/117 (530)
Type: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Limber/(Cursed Body)
Notable Moves: Shadow Ball, Flash Cannon, Will-o-Wisp, Hex, Calm Mind, Recover, Haze, Toxic, Thunderbolt, Teleport, Night Shade, Spikes
Description: Spirox is a fast support/offensive mon. Spikes, Will-O-Wisp and Recover let it run some more utility-oriented sets, usually ran with Hex, while it can run other sets such as Life Orb 3 attacks for a more offensive approach. It also gets Teleport which I didn't even know it got lmao but I guess that could be useful. Wisphex especially is strong because it cripples opposing teams badly while dealing a lot of damage. Also super fun to use.

Stats: 95 / 120 / 80 / 60 / 65 / 90 [BST: 510]
Typing:

Abilities: Moxie / Intimidate / Mold Breaker

Viable Moves:
- Close Combat, Drain Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Knock Off, Poison Jab, Sucker Punch, Thunder Punch
- eh
- Bulk Up, Trick
Movepool can be found here under "Slate 10: Movepools".
Urshifu vibes on this one, except actually balanced this time considering the slightly lower stats and no broken Wicked Blow or U-Turn for easy outs. Instead, to set itself apart, Grimmsnarl-Alola has 3 incredible abilities, as well as Trick to annoy defensive switchins. Just throw a Band or a Scarf on this thing and go in, simple and effective.

:ss/pidgeot:
Pokemon: Peasmaker
Mod of Origin: The Pokedex Redone v2
Stats: 83 / 80 / 75 / 70 / 70 / 101 [BST: 479]
Typing:

Abilities: Tangled Feet / Grassy Surge / Skill Link
:ss/pidgeot-mega:
Pokemon: Peasmaker-Mega
Stats: 83 / 80 / 80 / 135 / 80 / 121 [BST: 579]
Typing:

Ability: Drought

Viable Moves:
- Brave Bird, Bullet Seed, U-Turn
- Air Slash, Heat Wave, Hidden Power, Solar Beam
- Defog, Toxic
Movepool = Pidgeot's Movepool +Bullet Seed, Solar Beam
I'm not going to beat around the bush, the base form on this one is bad, and unless we get an insanely strong Grassy Terrain abuser down the line, this mon's only going to be used for the mega. That's okay though, because we could use some more megas, and this is a damn good one. While it's based on mega Pidgeot, it plays more like a fast Grass-type Zard Y, firing off Solar Beams complimented by pseudo-STAB Heat Wave. It also has U-Turn, Hidden Power, and Toxic, allowing it to do a good job of punishing mons that want to switch in on its harder-hitting options (Salaos and Silvally-Rock come to mind immediately).

:ss/drakloak:
Pokemon: Drakloak-Unova (Eviolite Compatible)
Mod of Origin: Regional Evolutions
Stats: 68 / 50 / 50 / 90 / 50 / 102 [BST: 410]
Typing:

Abilities: Infiltrator / Levitate / Bulletproof

Viable Moves:
- U-Turn
- Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Flash Cannon, Hex, Infestation, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt
- Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp
Movepool = Drakloak's Movepool +Flash Cannon, Nasty Plot, Stealth Rock, Steel Beam, -Astonish, Breaking Swipe, Draco Meteor, Dragon Tail
Drakloak-Unova is probably my weirdest smash sub ever, so I'm going to have to justify this. Its defensive stats aren't that impressive, but throw on an Eviolite and combine its already-insane defensive typing with abilities that let it cover its weaknesses by blocking either Shadow Ball or Ground moves, and you have an extremely potent fast and bulky pivot that stonewalls tons of mons and supports its team with U-Turn, rocks, and status spreading. 90 SpA isn't even bad, 10 less than vanilla Pult, so this thing isn't that passive either, especially if it goes for Hex. This is also obviously a perfect Everstone abuser if both get in, opening up the fully-offensive route and making it into an extremely scary breaker with Plot. Regardless of what it's running, this mon does have one huge weakness in Knock Off, but play around that well and this thing will prove to be way stronger than its stat spread makes it seem.

:everstone:
Item: Everstone
Mod of Origin: Item Factory
Effect: If holder's species can evolve, its Attack and Sp. Atk are 1.5x.
It's Sylve Eviolith, except a clone instead because Sylve Eviolith already exists in the original Super Smash Mods and I feel weird subbing something that already exists in another Smash. Anyways, Everstone is obviously great for Drakloak, but even if Drak doesn't win I feel like this is just a good item to have in ASAP because it opens up so many new options for subs down the line, something that can't be said for most other items.

Pokémon: Dimster
Mod of Origin: Mega Revolution
Stats: 70 / 65 / 70 / 130 / 85 / 110 (BST: 530)
Typing:

Abilities: Shadow Tag / Emergency Exit
Movepool Additions: Thunder Wave, Doom Desire, Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Iron Head, Metal Sound

Dimster is a strong offensive Pokémon with a peculiar ability and a very good typing in Ghost Steel.

Pokemon: Pangoro
Mod of Origin: Perfect Galar
Stats: 95 / 136 / 98 / 54 / 86 / 68
Typing:

Abilities: Same as in Standard
Movepool Changes: +Mach Punch, +Sucker Punch

Pangoro relies on its access to myltiple forms of priority in order to make a name for itself as a potent breaker against faster offensive teams. Its raw power helps it versus defensive squads.

Batana.png

Pokemon: Batana
Mod of Origin: Blindsided
Stats: 90 / 90 / 90 / 90 / 90 / 90
Typing:

Abilities: Prankster / Trickster* | Banana Trap*
Movepool:
Sap Drink*, Defog, Air Slash, Ingrain, Tailwind, Fly, Embargo, Flatter, Memento, Nasty Plot, Charm, Grassy Terrain, Sunny Day, Aromatherapy, Worry Seed, Encore, Endure, Growth, Nature Power, Pain Split, Safeguard, Sweet Scent, Powder, Aromatic Mist, Floral Healing, Flower Shield, Block, Camouflage, Celebrate, Refresh, Bullet Seed, Absorb, Mega Drain, Energy Ball, Solar Beam, Dual Wingbeat, Acrobatics, Aerial Ace, Wing Attack, Gust, Air Cutter, Dark Pulse, all universal TMs

Batana's main claim to fame is that of a trapper, specifically a Grass type trapper. Batana can use this arsenal to essentially put itself into a war versus opposing Shaymin, whoever moves first wins. Outside of that, it can also utilize Prankster to pull fun Defog tricks and Trickster to loop itself with a super Nasty Plot.

Sap Drink | Grass | --- | --- | Status | 16 PP | Heals the user and its allies by 25% of their max HP.

Trickster - The user's status moves have -1 priority, but are used twice when selected.

Banana Trap - Opposing Grass-types cannot switch out.

Movepool: -
Notable Moves: Wicked Blow, Close Combat, Poison Jab, Sucker Punch, U-turn, Bulk Up

Descriptions: Urshifu is your basic wallbreaking Pokemon. Its biggest problem, which is the sheer power of Wicked Blow, has been torned down. Wicked Blow is now basically a slightly stronger Darkest Lariat, which doesn't have much PP. As for Urshifu itself, it can run two really good sets. CB has great power and coverage with Wicked Blow, Close Combat, Poison Jab and either Sucker Punch or U-turn. Scarf also works, but the power decrease is bad. Bulk Up allows it to snowball through teams and Sucker Punch allows it to outrun faster Pokemon.

Movepool: Tropius' movepool + Paleo Seed, Grassy Glide, Dual Wingbeat, Hurricane, Earth Power
Notable Moves: Leaf Storm, Hurricane, Earth Power, Synthesis, Paleo Seed

Descriptions: Tropius has some nice traits. First off, it has great coverage with Leaf Storm, Hurricane, Paleo Seed and/or Earth Power and secondly, it has a nice Flying-immunity and thus also blocks Defog, which can be really useful. As a bonus, it removes one weakness of it. Unfortunally, it has many more weaknesses and despite its nice offensive profile, it has really low speed and can't find many oppoturnities to fire off its attacks.

:urshifu:
  • Wicked Blow is 60 BP now

:tropius:
  • Wind Shield: Immunity to Flying-type moves and raises Special Defense if hit by one.

Sorry to say this, but your submission isn't possible because both formes have to have the Grass/Flying typing.
Since the base forme isn't Grass/Flying, there's no way to implement the Mega without implementing a Pokemon that isn't allowed to be subbed yet.

For Wind Shield, the Ability in MonoThreat ReBalanced also raise Special Defense by 1 stage whenever hit by a Flying-type move without taking damage or other effects. Just a heads-up for sake of accuracy.

Nothing else of note, but you should perhaps put “Tropius’s movepool +” before the listed moves in Movepool secrion, too.
