[OVERVIEW]

Water
========
Providing a key immunity to Electric-type moves as well as walling Pokemon such as Regieleki, defensive Zapdos, and Zeraora, Swampert is a good addition to any Water team. In addition, Swampert has access to a wide variety of utility moves, including Stealth Rock and Roar. It is also able to take hits in order to reliably set Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. Its Water / Ground typing may turn out to be its eventual downfall, as Swampert is 4x weak to Grass-type attacks from Rillaboom, Tapu Koko, and Thundurus-T. Swampert suffers from constantly tanking hits from foes due to having no reliable recovery and therefore has little longevity. This prevents it from switching in and out of battle constantly, making Defog users a nuisance. Swampert can generate momentum with Flip Turn, preventing it from becoming passive.

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Roar
move 4: Flip Turn
item: Leftovers
ability: Torrent
nature: Careful
evs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Swampert is able to set Stealth Rock in order to reduce the longevity of Pokemon that do not run Heavy-Duty Boots such as Choice Specs Zapdos. Earthquake is used to prevent Swampert from being strictly passive, allowing it to hit Electric- and Poison-types like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Toxapex. Roar not only takes advantage of the aforementioned Stealth Rock, but it allows Swampert to phaze setup sweepers such as Dragon Dance Dragapult and Dragonite, preventing it from becoming setup fodder. Flip Turn takes advantage of Swampert's little Speed investment to allow the player to gain momentum by having switch advantage. Swampert's EVs allow it to survive a Grass Knot from Choice Specs Tapu Koko and KO it back with Earthquake.

Almost all Water-type Pokemon benefit from the presence of Swampert on the team, as it is able to shield the rest of the team from Electric-type moves such as Rising Voltage and Thunderbolt, as well as set Stealth Rock. Notable mentions of Pokemon that benefit from Swampert being on a team are Pelipper and Mantine, as they both have a 4x weakness to Electric-type moves. Pelipper and Mantine can also switch into Ground-type moves to prevent Swampert from taking unnecessary damage. Pelipper can set rain for Swift Swim teammates that Swampert can pivot in via Flip Turn, and Mantine can use Defog for its teammates. Due to the aforementioned immunity, Swampert and Toxapex form a defensive backbone together, with Toxapex being able to take on physical attackers for Swampert such as Dragon Dance Dragapult and Dragonite. Toxapex can also absorb Toxic Spikes and Toxic for Swampert. Swampert assists wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Barraskewda. These wallbreakers are able to take care of walls such as Blissey, Porygon2, and Skarmory, which Swampert struggles against due to its passive nature. Choice Specs Keldeo especially is an amazing teammate for Swampert, as Flip Turn can bring it in to obtain KOs on both physical and special walls such as Blissey, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Choice Scarf Urshifu-R heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert, as it not only provides an aforementioned immunity to Electric but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu-R cannot. In turn, Urshifu-R can handle Dark- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Ferrothorn for Swampert, as well as being able to revenge kill threats such as Tapu Koko and Zeraora. Tapu Fini prevents Swampert from being statused and can help Swampert avoid entry hazard damage with Defog. Tapu Fini also deals with Dragon-types that can wall Swampert such as Hydreigon, Kyurem, and Latios. Slowking also appreciates the aforementioned immunity as well, and Swampert appreciates a switch-in for certain special attackers such as Tapu Lele. Suicune is an excellent partner for Swampert due to its ability to stall out many bulkier Pokemon that Swampert would otherwise be unable to hit such as Celesteela. Slowking can form a pivoting core with Swampert, bringing in teammates like Barraskewda safely and then having them wreak havoc.

Water
--------
A set with Rindo Berry and Mirror Coat is able to catch threats such as Alolan Raichu, Tapu Koko, and Thundurus-T off guard. However, it severely reduces Swampert's HP, making it harder to bring it onto the field. Furthermore, this set can be scouted for with any chip damage. Toxic can be run over Roar in order to put bulkier walls such as Mantine and Mandibuzz on a timer; however, this prevents Swampert from phazing setup sweepers such as Hydreigon.

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------

**Bulky Water-types**: Pokemon such as Mantine and Rotom-W are immune or resistant to both of Swampert's offensive moves, in addition to having the ability to get rid of Stealth Rock via Defog. Mantine is particularly dangerous, as Swampert is also unable to use Flip Turn against it due to its Water Absorb ability.

**Physical Walls**: Bulky foes such as Celesteela and Mandibuzz can Toxic stall Swampert while being immune to Earthquake.

**Grass-types**: Due to having a 4x weakness to the type, Grass-type coverage can easily break past Swampert.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off can be used on Swampert to remove Leftovers, meaning it has no way to reliably recover HP. This in turn diminishes Swampert's ability to act as wall somewhat effectively and prevents it from consistently being able to set up Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle.

**Powerful Wallbreakers**: Wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Zapdos, Choice Specs Keldeo, and Nidoking pose an immense threat to Swampert due to its lack of reliable recovery.

**Status**: Like most walls, status conditions such as burn and poison severely hinder Swampert's ability to wall its foes.

[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

- Not only does Swampert provide a key immunity to Electric moves due to its magnificent typing, but it is only weak to Grass type moves. [I'd really emphasize its Electric immunity over its Grass-type weakness here if anything]
- In addition, Swampert has access to a wide variety of utility moves, including Stealth Rock and Roar.
- It is also able to take hits in order to reliably set Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. [Mention how its defensive bulk ALLOWS it to take hits and check certain Pokemon and list examples. You want to talk about some more positives in this paragraph.]
- Its wonderful typing may turn out to be its eventual downfall, as Swampert is 4x weak to Grass-type attacks.
- However, Swampert suffers due to having no reliable recovery, and therefore has little longevity.
- This prevents it from switching in and out of battle constantly, making defoggers a nuisance.
- Furthermore, Swampert lacks an offensive presence on the field due to its poor amount of coverage.

move 4: Earthquake

[SET COMMENTS]

- Swampert is able to set stealth rocks Stealth Rock in order to reduce the mobility of opposing Pokemon, especially against types like Bug and Fire.
- Roar not only takes advantage of the aforementioned(fluff) rocks[Stealth Rock. it's not "rocks"], but and allows Swampert to Phaze phaze set-up sweepers[list examples], preventing it from becoming setup fodder.
- Flip Turn takes advantage of Swampert's little speed investment to allow the player to gain momentum by having switch advantage. [Just say that it slow pivots teammates in and generates momentum]
- Earthquake is used to hit Water immune Pokemon such as Cradily, preventing it from walling Swampert. [yeah, but you need to list examples like Electric-, Rock-, Poison-types and examples. Just mentioning Cradily here doesn't sound right]
- Swampert's EVs maximize its recovery from Leftovers, while still remaining as bulky as possible. [why is it using SpD over Def and what is the point of the 16 Atk EVs. You should also mention examples of what SpD users it deals with]
- Torrent is used over Damp due to the lack of Explosion users in the meta, as well as the damage boost to Flip Turn.

- Almost all [almost or all?] Water Type Pokemon benefit from the presence of Swampert on the team, as it is able to shield the rest of the team from Electric moves such as Rising Voltage and Thunderbolt.
- Notable mentions of Pokemon that benefit from Swampert being on a team are Pelipper and Mantine, as they both have a 4x weakness to Electric moves. [what does Pelipper and Mantine do for Swampert. How do they synergize?]
- Swampert assists wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Dracovish by providing a pivot via Flip Turn. [Choice Specs is not Keldeo's only set. I'd prefer you to group it with the Urshifu-R point since they both are meant to break Steel-types. Talk about what defensive cores Dracovish breaks through]
[why is there a space here]

- Toxapex is a good teammate for Swampert as it is able to absorb the Physical hits[examples?] that Swampert cannot, as well as providing a Grass neutrality.
- Suicune is an excellent partner for Swampert due to its ability to stall out many bulkier Pokemon[what bulkier Pokemon. Because in SS I know it struggles to break defensive cores like Amoonguss+Toxapex+Amoonguss. You need to be specific] Swampert would otherwise be unable to hit such as Celesteela.
- Urshifu-Rapid-Strike heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert on the team as it not only provides an afformentioned immunity to electric [you mentioned that the entire team appreciates its Electric immunity in sentence one so its no need to repeating yourself. Mention how Urshifu-R as an offensive mon appreciates Stealth Rock instead to do residual chip damage on opposing Pokemon] but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu cannot.
- Tapu Fini prevents Swampert from being statused and can help Swampert avoid chip damage via hazards with Defog[talk about what Pokemon Tapu Fini helps with].
- Slowbro also appriciates the afformentioned immunity as well as the switchin for special attackers. [Its literally D on the Viaibility Ranking..use Slowking instead]

Focus more on synergy and mon-specific needs in the teammates' section.

Water
--------
- While running Rindo Berry with Mirror Coat is able to catch threats running Grass-type coverage such as Alolan Raichu and Tapu Koko off guard, it severly reduces Swampert's HP making it harder to switch onto the field[just say how running a non-Leftovers set hinders it mainstream of recovery].
- Furthermore, this set can be scouted for with any chip damage, such as that obtained via hazards.
- Protect can be used over Roar to allow Swampert to scout for opponents moves, however this makes Swampert vulnerable to set-up sweepers.
- Rest allows Swampert to cure Status and to regain HP, but forces it to lose 2 turns sleeping.
* Add Toxic

Checks and Counters
===================

Water
--------
**Bulky Water Types Immune to Ground**: Pokemon such as Mantine and Rotom-Wash are immune to or resist both of Swampert's offensive moves, in addition to having the ability to Defog Stealth Rock away. Mantine is particularly dangerous as Swampert is also unable to Flip Turn in an attempt to gain momentum due to Mantine's Water Absorb ability.
**Grass Type Pokemon**: Due to having a 4x weakness to the type, any grass type Grass-type Pokemon such as [list 3 Grass-type examples here] or frankly any Grass type move will deal significant damage and will put KO Swampert in danger of fainting the following turn with their respective STAB moves.
(AS)
**Grass Type Coverage**: As previously stated Swampert is extremely vulnerable to Grass moves, as it has a 4x weakness to them. [Talk about non-Grass-types carrying Grass-type coverage. No need to say "Previously stated" and list examples for the reader]
(AS)
**Knock Off**: Knock Off can be used on Swampert to remove Leftovers, meaning it has to way to reliably recover HP. This in turn diminishes Swampert's ability to wall somewhat effectively and prevents it from consistently being able to set up Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. [Examples here also. List 2-3 examples of what Knock off Pokemon hinders its recovery]
(AS)

**Status**: Like most walls, Status Conditions status conditions severely hinder Swampert's ability to wall opponents as that nullifies Leftovers recovery. Burn is particularly bad, as not only does it nullify recovery it halves the damage that Swampert's offensive moves can deal to with opponents. [Talk about how Toxic puts Swampert on a timer]

[OVERVIEW]

Water
========

- Not only does Swampert provide a key immunity to Electric moves due to its magnificent typing, but it is only weak to Grass type moves, making it a great defensive Pokemon for Water teams. I would also add what Electric-types Swampert can check like Zeraora, Regieleki, and Zapdos
- In addition, Swampert has access to a wide variety of utility moves, including Stealth Rock and Roar. Add that this gives it a huge niche over Gastrodon, another good Water/Ground
- It is also able to take hits in order to reliably set Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle.
- Add that Flip Turn makes Swampert a great pivot as well
- However, its wonderful typing may turn out to be its eventual downfall, as Swampert is 4x weak to Grass. I would say how this leaves it weak to Grass-types like Tapu Bulu and Rillaboom and Electric-types that run Grass-type coverage like Tapu Koko, Alolan Raichu, and Thundurus-T
- However, Swampert suffers from consistently tanking attacks from foes due to having no reliable recovery, and therefore has little longevity.
- This prevents it from switching in and out of battle constantly, making defoggers a nuisance.

[SET COMMENTS]

- Swampert is able to set stealth rocks in order to reduce the mobility of opposing Pokemon, especially against types like Bug and Fire. Fluff, the reader would know what Stealth Rock does
- Roar not only takes advantage of the aforementioned rocks Stealth Rock, but allows Swampert to Phaze set-up sweepers such as? mention setup sweepers like Dragonite and Calm Mind Spectrier, preventing it from becoming setup fodder.
- Flip Turn takes advantage of Swampert's little speed investment to allow the player to gain momentum by having switch advantage pivoting into an offensive teammate.
- Earthquake is used to hit Water immune Pokemon such as Cradily Cradily still walls Swampert, I would say that it deals immediate damage to Electric- and Poison-types like Regieleki, Dragalge, and Galarian Slowking, preventing it from walling Swampert.
- Swampert's EVs maximize its recovery from Leftovers, while still remaining as bulky as possible. Mention why you would use SpD Swampert
- Torrent is used over Damp due to the lack of Explosion users in the meta, as well as the damage boost to Flip Turn if Swampert is at low health.
(add a space here)
- Almost all Water Type Pokemon benefit from the presence of Swampert on the team, as it is able to shield the rest of the team from Electric moves such as Rising Voltage and Thunderbolt while providing useful utility through Stealth Rock, Roar, and Flip Turn.
- Notable mentions of Pokemon that benefit from Swampert being on a team are Pelipper, Toxapex, and Mantine, as they both have a 4x weakness to Electric moves. Say what Pelipper, Toxapex, and Mantine do for Swampert (all of them provide a Grass-type neutrality for it, while Pelipper and Mantine can switch in on powerful Ground-type attacks from Pokemon like Excadrill)
- Swampert assists wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo, Barraskewda, and Dracovish by providing a pivot via Flip Turn.
(remove a space here)
- Toxapex is a good teammate for Swampert as it is able to absorb the Physical hits that Swampert cannot, as well as providing a Grass neutrality. Put this in the sentence about Pelipper and Mantine

- Suicune is an excellent partner for Swampert due to its ability to stall out many bulkier Pokemon Swampert would otherwise be unable to hit such as Celesteela with Pressure.
- Urshifu-Rapid-Strike heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert on the team as it not only provides an afformentioned typo immunity to electric but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu cannot. Add what Urshifu-R does for Swampert. It deals with Dark-, Normal-, and Steel-types such as Hydreigon, Porygon2, and Ferrothorn
- Tapu Fini prevents Swampert from being statused and can help Swampert avoid chip damage via hazards with Defog. It also deals with Dragon-types like Hydreigon, Kyurem, and Latios
- Slowbro also appriciates the afformentioned immunity as well as the switchin for special attackers.
- Replace Slowbro with Slowking since it's more relevant on Water, and add how it switches in on Psychic-types like Tapu Lele for Swampert

What do the 16 Att EVs do? I don’t see any mention of that.
I originaly put them there because I mostly figured that it'd help Flip Turn hit a little bit harder, especially in rain. I could also put them in defence, but I feel like Swampert's main purpose is to pivot out of Special attacks (as well as set rocks), with Toxapex taking the majority of Physical ones.

* ' - Providing a key immunity to Electric moves as well as walling Pokemon such as Regieleki, Zapdos, and Zeraora, Swampert is a good addition to any water team.' Add the utility part to this instead of separate point.
* ' - It is also able to take hits in order to reliably set Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. ' I would not call it takes hit reliably since it lacks reliable recovery and hence swampert finds itself worn out in longer battles, change this.
* Talk how Swampert's presence on Water-type teams is integral since it forms good defensive backbone with other defensive Water-type like Toxapex.
- Furthermore, Swampert lacks an offensive presence on the field due to its poor amount of coverage.' This is unnecessary when you talk about its coverage since the set in question is a defensive one.
* You can mention how it is kind of passive against other defensive Pokemon such as Skarmory, Porygon2, Corviknight and cannot punish such Pokemon effectively.
* Add a line about Stealth Rock separately when you explain moves, it looks like you missed it.

* Toxapex is a good teammate for Swampert as it is able to absorb the Physical hits that Swampert cannot, as well as providing a Grass neutrality. Add that they both form a good defensive core together with Toxapex being able to take on physical attackers for Swampert such as x and x, give notable examples.
* - Swampert assists wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo, Barraskewda, and Dracovish by providing a pivot via Flip Turn. And in return such wallbreakers take care of Pokemon like Blissey, Porygon2, Skarmory and Corviknight for Swampert. Add this.
* ' Urshifu-Rapid-Strike heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert on the team as it not only provides an aforementioned immunity to Electric but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu cannot.' This is really vague point, be specific, talk about Urshifu-R being able to revenge kill threats such as Tapu Koko, Zeraora etc while freeing some pressure off of Swampert.
* Toxic can be run over Roar in order to put foes on a timer, however this prevents Swampert from phasing setup sweepers such as Hydreigon. Foes such as Mantine, Zapdos, Mandibuzz. Add
* Remove Rest from 'Other Options' section.

[overview]
- you make it sound like swampert is an electric type attacker, fix that here. also mention it can threaten electric types with eq

In addition, Swampert has access to a wide variety of utility moves, including Stealth Rock and Roar, making it more ideal to use then Gastrodon and Quagsire.
- this is unnecessary

Its wonderful typing may turn out to be its eventual downfall, as Swampert is 4x weak to Grass-type attacks like those from Rillaboom, Tapu Koko, and Thundrus-Therian. Swampert suffers from constantly tanking hits from foes due to having no reliable recovery, and therefore has little longevity.
- mention that its the ground typing that does this not 'its wonder typing'

- in the last line you can mention that its not that bad of a momentum suck thanks to flip turn

[set comments]
- types like bug and fire spam heavy duty boots usage, name specific example of what sr can hurt rn like specs zapdos
- the way you talk abt eq is weird, those are good examples but they don't wall swampert bz it always has eq
- please find good examples of what max spd does for swampert, for one it allows swampert to tank specs grass knot from koko then murking it with eq, you can also find another example for this
- torrent boosting flip turn isn't really that significant, you can just remove that line completely
- make sure to explicitly say scarf urshifu-r if you are using those examples
- move suicune to the bottom of the paragraph, cant rmbr the last time I saw it in ss mono

[checks and counters]
- just say they can easily tank swamperts attacks. also mention they can hurt swampert with scald by burning it
- porygon2 does not often carry toxic, i would redo this bullet completely and find relevant examples
- the grass type bullet is weird, just say they can easily break past swampert due to its quadruple weakness or something close to that vibe
- the wallbreakers bullet it also weird, find more relevant examples, also list a decent amount of them

tag me on discord when you implement this check. i will look through the analysis again, if i am satisfied i will stamp this.

[overview]
- swampert does not wall zapdos, specs hurricane does near half
- make it Defog users, not defoggers
- wouldn't really say swampert lacks an offensive presence, eq prevents it from being 2 passive and flip turn can generate offensive momentum.

[set details]
- mention eq can hit electric- and poison-types like tapu koko, zeraora, and toxapex
- merge the line about its evs, don't really need to include anything abt a leftovers number. just say 240 HP and maximum Special Defense investment allow Swampert to.....
- also insert a line about leftovers granting swampert passive recovery
- it is Urshifu-R not Urshifu-Rapid-Strike or Urshifu, its always Urshifu-R in analyses
- say Mantine and Pelipper provide a Ground immunity for Swampert and can switch into threats like Sand Rush Excadrill, then talk about what they do separately. pelipper is used on rain teams, while mantine is a bulky defog on non-rain
- mention that toxapex can absorb toxic spikes for pert and switch into toxic users like celesteela. toxapex also provides a grass neutrality to swampert, mention that. completely separate the lines about peli/mantine from toxapex.
- These wallbreakers? but ur only talking about keldeo. instead talk about how swampert can pivot in its offensive teammates safely such as Urshifu-R, Keldeo, Dracovish, and Tapu Fini
- when talking about keldeo, you don't need to say because of swamperts nature, just focus on what keldeo breaks for swampert
- Choice Scarf Urshifu-Rapid-Strike heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert on the team as it not only provides an aforementioned immunity to Electric but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu cannot. remove this line completely
- if you are going to use tapu koko as an example for Urshifu-R please mention choice scarf as I said in my previous check
- mention how slowking can also form a pivoting core with swampert, thanks to its access to teleport, allowing it to bring its offensive teammates as well
- add dracovish in after urshifu-r. don't jam it into the same line as barraskewda as they do different things

[other options]
- remove protect from here completely

[checks and counters]
- just make the bullet Bulky Water-types
- aegislash and toxapex hate taking swamperts eq, these are bad examples. please replace this with a bullet called physical walls
- move grass types up to the first slot, they obviously can ohko swampert
- aside from keldeo, these wallbreakers are kinda on less used types, find more relevant examples

again implement this then I will stamp it if I'm satisfied

edit: talked on discord a bit more. consider this stamped QC 2/2!

- aside from keldeo, these wallbreakers are kinda on less used types, find more relevant examples

again implement this then I will stamp it if I'm satisfied

Providing a key immunity to Electric moves as well as walling Pokemon such as Regieleki, Defensive Zapdos, and Zeraora, Swampert is a good addition to any water team. In addition, Swampert has access to a wide variety of utility moves, including Stealth Rock and Roar. It is also able to take hits in order to reliably set Stealth Rock multiple times during a battle. Its Ground typing may turn out to be its eventual downfall, as Swampert is 4x weak to Grass-type attacks like those from Rillaboom, Tapu Koko, and Thundrus-Therian. Swampert suffers from constantly tanking hits from foes due to having no reliable recovery, and therefore has little longevity. This prevents it from switching in and out of battle constantly, making Defog users a nuisance. Swampert can generate momentum with Flip Turn preventing it from becoming passive.

[SET COMMENTS]

Swampert is able to set stealth rocks Stealth Rock in order to reduce the mobility of opposing Pokemon, especially against Pokemon that do not run Heavy-Duty Boots such as Choice Specs Zapdos. Earthquake is used to prevent Swampert from being strictly passive, allowing it to hit Electric- and Poison types like Tapu Koko, Toxapex, and Zeraora. Roar not only takes advantage of the aforementioned Stealth Rock, but allows Swampert to Phaze phaze set-up sweepers such as Dragon Dance Dragapult and Dragonite, preventing it from becoming setup fodder. Flip Turn takes advantage of Swampert's little speed Speed investment to allow the player to gain momentum by having switch advantage. Swampert's EVs allows Swampert to tank Choice Specs Tapu Koko's Grass Knot and fire back with Earthquake allow Swampert to survive a Grass Knot from Choice Specs Tapu Koko while being able to respond with Earthquake. Leftovers grants Swampert passive recovery, extending its longevity. (dex info, people already know what Leftovers does so you don't need to include it)

Almost all Water Type Water-type Pokemon benefit from the presence of Swampert on the team, as it is able to shield the rest of the team from Electric-type moves such as Rising Voltage and Thunderbolt, as well as set Stealth Rock. Notable mentions of Pokemon that benefit from Swampert being on a team are Pelipper and Mantine, as they both have a 4x weakness to Electric moves. Pelipper and Mantine can also switch into Ground-type moves to prevent Swampert from taking unessesary damage. Pelipper can set rain for Swift Swim teammates that Swampet can pivot into via Flip Turn, and Mantine can Defog for its teammates. Due to the aformentioned immunity, it Swampert and Toxapex form a defensive backbone together with Toxapex being able to take on physical attackers for Swampert such as Dragon Dance Dragapult and Dragonite. Toxapex can also absorb Toxic Spikes and Toxic for Swampert. Swampert assists wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo, Barraskewda, and Dracovish by providing a pivot via Flip Turn. These wallbreakers are able to take care of walls such as Blissey, Porygon2, and Skarmory, which Swampert struggles against due to its passive nature. Choice Specs Keldeo especially is an amazing teammate for Swampert, as Flip Turn can bring it in for kills on both Physical and Special physical and special walls such as Blissey, Ferrothorn, and Celesteela. Choice Scarf Urshifu-R heavily benefits from the presence of Swampert on the team as it not only provides an aforementioned immunity to Electric but a special wall to take the special hits that Urshifu-R cannot. In turn, Urshifu-R can handle Dark- and Steel-type pokemon such as Hydreigon and Ferrothorn for Swampert, as well as being able to revenge kill threats such as Tapu Koko,(RC) and Zeraora. Tapu Fini prevents Swampert from being statused and can help Swampert avoid chip damage via hazards with Defog. Tapu Fini also deals with Dragon-types Types that can wall Swampert such as Hydreigon, Kyurem, and Latios. Slowking also appreciates the aforementioned immunity as well, and Swampert appreciates the switchin for certain special attackers such as Tapu Lele as well. Suicune is an excellent partner for Swampert due to its ability to stall out many bulkier Pokemon Swampert would otherwise be unable to hit such as Celesteela with Pressure. Slowking can form a pivoting core with Swampert, bringing in teammates like Barraskewda safely and then having them wreak havoc. Dracovish is also an option, as it is also be one of Water’s most potent wallbreakers.

**Grass Type Pokemon**: Due to having a 4x weakness to the type, Grass-Type coverage can easily break past Swampert.

**Bulky Water Types Water-types**: Pokemon such as Mantine and Rotom-Wash are immune to or resist both of Swampert's offensive moves, in addition to having the ability to get rid of Stealth Rock via Defog. Mantine is particularly dangerous as Swampert is also unable to Flip Turn in an attempt to gain momentum due to Mantine's Water Absorb ability.

**Physical Walls**: Bulky foes such as Celesteela and Mandibuzz can Toxic Stall stall Swampert while being immune to Earthquake.

**Grass Type Pokemon Grass-types**: Due to having a 4x weakness to the type, Grass-Type Grass-type coverage can easily break past Swampert.

**Powerful Wallbreakers**: Wallbreakers such as Choice Specs Keldeo and Choice Specs Zapdos and Nidoking Choice Specs Keldeo, Choice Specs Zapdos, and Nidoking pose an immense threat to Swampert.

**Status**: Like most walls, Status Conditions status conditions such as burn and Toxic poison severely hinder Swampert's ability to wall opponents.(AP) as that nullifies Leftovers recovery. Burn is particularly bad, as not only does it nullify recovery it halves the damage that Swampert's offensive moves can deal to opponents. Toxic is also terrible, as it puts Swampert on a timer and significantly reduces its ability to wall effectively. (Feel like this is dex info and common knowledge, but you can wait for an official check to change this)
