[OVERVIEW]

Swoobat has two unique niches in its ability Simple and its blistering high Speed stat. With the capability to boost quickly, Swoobat's Special Attack skyrockets to absurd levels even after just one Calm Mind. Swoobat doesn't mind taking chip damage as much as other Pokemon, since it will be purposefully reducing its own health with Substitute, although the inability to use Substitute at low HP can be annoying. Not everything is that simple, however, as these niches come at the cost of being very predictable. Due to its extreme frailty, Swoobat will generally be KOed in one hit. It needs immense team support, like dual screens or Memento, to function properly. Swoobat's frailty also means that it is vulnerable to priority attacks such as Skuntank's Sucker Punch. Furthermore, Swoobat's dual typing overlaps weaknesses with several top-tier threats such as Mesprit, Aurorus, and Kingler. This, combined with its frailty and need for team support, makes it somewhat difficult to add while teambuilding. Swoobat is also over-reliant on setting up with Calm Mind, as otherwise it's left with a 20-Base Power Stored Power.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Calm Mind in tandem with Simple boosts Swoobat’s Special Attack and Special Defense by two stages each. Substitute shields Swoobat from status, allows it to more safely set up with Calm Mind, and lets it lower its own health to increase the likelihood that the Salac Berry will activate. Stored Power after a boost can turn into an enormously strong 100-, 180-, or even 260-Base Power STAB move. Without a boost, however, Swoobat is left with an unreliable 20-Base Power attacking move. Psychic is more consistent in damage output, over four times stronger before a boost, and just slightly weaker after one Calm Mind. Air Slash is a STAB attack that hits Dark-types for neutral damage while also beating bulky Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna, as Swoobat out-boosts them.

Set Details
========

Simple doubles Swoobat's stat changes, essentially raising two stages for every Calm Mind. Swoobat's Salac Berry Speed boost also is under the effect of Simple and allows Swoobat to outpace all Choice Scarf users after it activates. A Timid nature, backed by maximum Special Attack and Speed EVs, assists Swoobat in more aptly sweeping with Calm Mind late-game. Unlike many other Rock-weak Pokemon, Swoobat needs 4 HP EVs to activate its Salac Berry after Stealth Rock damage and two uses of Substitute.

Usage Tips
========

Swoobat should never be directly switched into an oncoming attack; rather, it should be brought in safely with a slow pivot such as Eelektross or Type: Null, or after a Pokemon from your own side has fainted. Swoobat can also be used to revenge kill Pokemon such as Gurdurr, which it takes advantage of by setting up on the forced switch. Calm Mind should be used in the face of weaker special attackers such as Lurantis and Combusken. Contrarily, Substitute should be used in the face of passive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Audino, and Altaria or when you predict a switch. Make use of Memento and dual screens wisely by correctly determining when to use Calm Mind or Substitute to better the chances of a sweep. Swoobat has the best chance to sweep late-game, since it can have issues setting up more than once and prefers that checks and counters such as Skuntank, Spiritomb, and Choice Scarf Primeape and Togedemaru be removed before setting up.

Team Options
========

Despite its 4x resistance to Fighting-type attacks, Swoobat is not a sufficient Fighting-type answer, so Pokemon such as Weezing and Silvally-Fairy that can check Fighting-types—especially Choice Scarf Primeape—but also do not overlap type weaknesses make good partners. Meowstic-M can set up Reflect and Light Screen for Swoobat, which increases the likelihood of it setting up with Calm Mind and sweeping. However, Meowstic-M and Swoobat do not have the greatest type synergy and are quite predictable in what they are trying to accomplish. Memento users such as Skuntank and Jumpluff can also assist Swoobat by lowering the foe's Attack and Special Attack by two stages each. Memento can also be powered up by Darkinium Z on Skuntank, allowing Swoobat the chance to set up a second time if needed. Swoobat is extremely frail, so slow pivots such as Lanturn, Type: Null, and Silvally-Fairy make good partners. Swoobat appreciates being paired with strong wallbreakers, such as Aggron, Absol, and Drampa, that can help pave its way towards a sweep to break defensive backbones like the combination of Spiritomb, Qwilfish, and Clefairy. Entry hazards such as Spikes and Stealth Rock from Clefairy and Qwilfish support Swoobat by chipping away at the opposing Pokemon's health as it switches in, making it easier for Swoobat to nab the KO.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Roost sustains Swoobat's longevity, but it needs Calm Mind to make use of Simple, needs Substitute to activate Salac Berry reliably, and cannot function well with a mono-attacking set. Heat Wave can be used over Air Slash to hit opposing Steel-types, but Aggron is not even 2HKOed after Stealth Rock and Choice Scarf Togedemaru outspeeds and OHKOes Swoobat. Electric Seed can be used to boost Swoobat's Defense stat, but it requires an overwhelming level of team support and lacks the Speed necessary to deal with opposing Choice Scarf users. Good teammates for Swoobat utilizing this item include Alolan Raichu and Togedemaru. A Kee Berry can boost Swoobat's Defense stat by two stages as well but requires Swoobat to be able to take a physical hit first. Signal Beam can be used over Air Slash to hit opposing Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna while hitting Dark-types for super effective damage and still hitting Shiftry super effectively, but its lack of STAB makes it damage less than Air Slash against Skuntank and Spiritomb. Air Slash is also able to beat most Psychic-types one-on-one, as Swoobat can use Calm Mind to out-boost Mesprit and Musharna. Giga Drain restores Swoobat's health while dealing super effective damage to Rock-types such as Regirock, Carracosta, and Omastar but doesn't do much outside of that. Swoobat has a plethora of support options such as Tailwind, Defog, Knock Off, Super Fang, Trick, Taunt, Reflect, Light Screen, and U-turn, but they all detract from Swoobat's primary niche of its ability Simple, and its poor bulk prevents it from pulling off defensive sets. Swoobat also has another rare ability in Unaware, although it cannot make any use of it due to pitiful defensive stats.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority Moves**: Swoobat is vulnerable to almost all forms of priority if it isn't behind a Substitute due to its poor defensive stats and typing. Swoobat is threatened by Sucker Punch, Fake Out, and Accelerock from Pokemon such as Skuntank, Kangaskhan, and Lycanroc, since it is weak to these moves or will be guaranteed to flinch. Furthermore, Swoobat can't play around Spiritomb's Sucker Punch due to Infiltrator.

**Faster Pokemon**: Prior to the activation of its Salac Berry, Choice Scarf users, such as Primeape, Mesprit, and Togedemaru, and Pokemon at the base 115 Speed tier, such as Alolan Persian and Floatzel, are able to outspeed Swoobat and take it out with their strong super effective moves.

**Sound-based Moves**: Certain moves such as Drampa's Hyper Voice, Toucannon's Boomburst, and Aurorus's Refrigerate-boosted Hyper Voice can all bypass Swoobat's Substitute and eliminate it.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Swoobat's only niches are its ability Simple and its blistering high Speed stat, and as such, makes Swoobat very predictable (what does simple do? also mention that its spatk is fairly high after a calm mind boost, allowing it to make better use of stored power.)
  • It's extreme frailty means Swoobat will generally die in one hit, meaning it needs immense team support to function properly, usually through means of Dual Screens or Memento
  • Swoobat's dual typing overlaps with several top tier threats such as Mesprit, Archeops, Palossand, and Magmortar, making it somewhat difficult to implement into teambuilding.
  • Unlike other Flying-types, however, Swoobat doesn't mind Stealth Rocks being up as it will purposefully be bringing its own health down anyways with Substitute. (the inability to use sub after a certain amount of health is annoying for it, so this is false.)
  • This is really barebones. Something about its vulnerability to priority and its poor bulk should be here, and a bit more positivity about it would be good here since the overview is a bit too negative.)

Moves
========

  • Calm Mind in tandem with Simple boosts both Swoobat’s Special Attack and Special Defense by two stages each.
  • Substitute shields Swoobat against status and allows it to more safely set up Calm Minds (and lowers its hp, which allows it to use the salac berry after its hp is low enough.)
  • Psychic is more consistent in damage output, is over four times stronger before a boost, and just slightly weaker after one Calm Mind
  • Stored Power, however after a boost, can turn into an enormously strong base 100, 180, or even a 260 STAB move (swap the order of these to reflect above change.)
  • Air Slash hits Dark-types for STAB neutral damage while also hitting bulky Psychics such as Mesprit and Musharna before a significant amount of boosts.
Set Details
========

  • Simple doubles Swoobat's Calm Mind boosts and Salac Berry, essentially raising two stages for every one stage boosted under otherwise normal cicrumstances (just say it doubles stat changes to make this less complicated.) (salac berry should have its own bullet.)
  • A Timid nature backed by Max Special Attack and Speed EVs assist Swoobat in more aptly sweep with Calm Mind end-game.
  • Unlike many other Rock-type weak Pokemon, Swoobat does not need to adjust its EV spread to account for Stealth Rock, as Swoobat actually wants to be able to Substitute to the activation of its Salac Berry (this kind of feels like filler, but i'll leave it be.)

Usage Tips
========
  • Swoobat should never be directly switched into an oncoming attack; rather, it should be brought in safely with a slow pivot such as Eelektross or Type: Null, or after a Pokemon from your own side has fainted. (can be used to revenge kill stuff like gurdurr, of which it takes advantage by setting up on the forced switch.)
  • Use Calm Mind in the face of Special Attackers without a super effective attacker such as.... Use Substitute in the face of passive Pokemon like... or when you predict a switch. (separate these into two bullets.)
  • Make use of turns of Memento and screens wisely by correctly determining when to use Calm Mind or Substitute to better the chances of a sweep
  • Something about how it plays best late-game, since it can have issues setting up more than once, and prefers that checks and counters be removed first.
Team Options
========

  • Despite its 4x resistance to Fighting-type attacks, Swoobat is not a sufficient Fighting-type answer, so Pokemon that can check Fighting-types, especially Choice Scarf Primeape, but also do not overlap type weaknesses such as Weezing and Silvally-Fairy make good partners
  • Dual Screeners and Memento users such as Meowstic-M, Skuntank, and Jumpluff cut in half the attacking power that would have been dealt to Swoobat, which increases the likelihood of setting up a Calm Mind and sweeping. (separate this into two bullets bc it reads a little confusing imo.)
  • You mention pivots above, so why don't they have a section here?
  • Wallbreakers that can pave the way for Swoobat to sweep.
  • Entry hazards.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Roost sustains Swoobat's longetivity, but it needs Calm Mind to make use of Simple, needs Substitute to activate Salac Berry reliably, and cannot function as a Mono-attacking set
  • Electric Seed or Grassy Seed can be used to boost Swoobat's physical Defense stat, but requires an overwhelming level of team support and lacks the speed necessary to deal with opposing Choice Scarf users
  • A Kee Berry can boost Swoobat's Defense stat by two stages as well but requires Swoobat to be able to take a physical hit first, which usually doesn't happen (can't the same kind of be said for salac berry?)
  • Heat Wave can be used over Air Slash to hit opposing Steel-types, but Ferroseed retaliates back hard with a Gyro Ball, Aggron is not even 2HKO'd after Stealth Rock, and Togedemaru's most viable set, it's Choice Scarf set, outspeeds and OHKO'd Swoobat (this should be higher up than electric seed and grassy seed, since this is probably the most useful alternative.)
  • Signal Beam, while hitting opposing Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna while hitting Dark-types for super effective damage, deals less damage compared to Air Slash against Skuntank and Spiritomb with Air Slash still hitting Shiftry for super effective, and due to Simple, still beats Mesprit and Musharna in Calm Mind wars. (this point reads a bit confusing, reword.)
  • Giga Drain restores Swoobat's health whilst dealing super effective damage to Rock-types such as Regirock and Carbink but doesn't do much outside of that
  • Swoobat has a plethora of support options such as Tailwind, Defog, Knock Off, Super Fang, Trick, Taunt, Dual Screens, U-turn and more, but they all detract from Swoobat's primary niche of its ability Simple. (its poor bulk also prevents it from convincingly pulling off defensive sets.)
  • Swoobat also has another rare ability in Unaware although it cannot make any use of it due to pitiful sad (redundant.) defensive stats

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority Moves**: Priority moves, especially Sucker Punch and Accelerock, bypass Swoobat's speed and can cause it to faint. Note that with Sucker Punch, Swoobat can play mind games with Substitute. (this section needs to be reworded imo. something like, 'Swoobat is vulnerable to almost all forms of priority if it isn't behind a Substitute due to its poor defensive stats and typing. Swoobat is threatened by x, y, and z from Pokemon such as x, y, and z in particular since it is weak to these moves.' also, mention that it can't play around spiritomb as well due to infiltrator.)

**Faster Pokemon**: Prior to the activation of its Salac Berry, Choice Scarf users such as Primeape, Mesprit, and Togedemaru, as well as Pokemon at the Base 115 benchmark such as Alolan Persian and Floatzel are able to outspeed Swoobat and take it out with even a mildly strong neutral hit. (these pokemon are all more than likely going for a super effective move aside from floatzel maybe, so reword this last bit.)

**Sound-based Moves**: Certain moves such as Drampa's Hyper Voice, Toucannon's Boomburst, and Chatot's Chatter can all bypass Swoobat's Substitute and eliminate it even behind the Substitute

Furthermore, Swoobat can't play around Spiritomb's priority moves (just say Sucker Punch, since Sub doesn't really play around all priority)due to Infiltrator.

Things like the Overview and Usage Tips could use some beefing up. Also I swear if you don't rephrase the first sentence to say "Swoobat has a simple niche"... Otherwise QC 2/3. Now will you leave my PMs alone ;-;

Remove any mentions of Stoutland, Gastrodon, and Ferroseed, replace Ferroseed with Qwilfish for spike setters in team options, change targets of Giga Drain from Carbink to something like Carracosta or Omastar. Do all this and consider this QC 3/3.

Swoobat has a plethora of support options such as Tailwind, Defog, Knock Off, Super Fang, Trick, Taunt, Reflect, Light Screen, U-turn and more, but they all detract from Swoobat's primary niche of its ability Simple, and its poor bulk prevents it from convincingly pulling off defensive sets. Swoobat also has another rare ability in Unaware, although it cannot make any use of it due to pitiful defensive stats and would replace Simple.

Checks and Counters

===================

**Priority Moves**: Swoobat is vulnerable to almost all forms of priority if it isn't behind a Substitute due to its poor defensive stats and typing. Swoobat is threatened by Sucker Punch, Fake Out, and Accelerock from Pokemon such as Skuntank, Kangaskhan, and Lycanroc in particular since it is weak to these moves or will be guaranteed to flinch. Furthermore, Swoobat can't play around Spiritomb's Sucker Punch due to Infiltrator.

**Faster Pokemon**: Prior to the activation of its Salac Berry, Choice Scarf users, such as Primeape, Mesprit, and Togedemaru, as well as and Pokemon at the Base 115 benchmark speed tier, such as Alolan Persian and Floatzel, are able to outspeed Swoobat and take it out with their strong super effective moves.

**Sound-based Moves**: Certain moves such as Drampa's Hyper Voice, Toucannon's Boomburst, and Aurorus's Refrigerate Hyper Voice can all bypass Swoobat's Substitute and eliminate it even behind the Substitute.

[OVERVIEW]
Swoobat's has two unique niches in its ability Simple and its blistering high Speed stat. With the capability to boost quickly, Swoobat's Special Attack skyrockets to absurd levels even after just one Calm Mind. Swoobat doesn't mind taking chip damage as much as other Pokemon, (AC) since it will be purposefully be bringreducing its own health down anyways with Substitute [reworded for concision], although the inability to use Substitute once its health is nearly depleted at low HP can be annoying. Not everything is that s"Simple" [not sure if you were going for a pun here, if not just ignore this] (even if you were, don't. analyses aren't suppoed to be entertaining or whatever so keep original), however, as these niches come at the cost of being very predictable. Due to its extreme frailty, Swoobat will generally die be KOed (don't reference death in analyses bc they don't die) in one hit, meaning i. It needs immense team support, like dual screens or Memento, to function properly. ,usually by means of Dual Screens or Memento. Swoobat's frailty also means that it's scared of is vulnerable to priority attacks. (give an example of pu prio) Furthermore, Swoobat's dual typing overlaps weaknesses with several top-tier threats such as Mesprit, Aurorus, and Kingler. This, and combined with its frailty weakness and necessary need for team support, makes it somewhat difficult to add while teambuilding. Swoobat is also over-reliant on setting up with Calm Mind, as otherwise it's left with a base 20 Stored Power 20-Base Power Stored Power. (base number refers to stats not moves)

Calm Mind in tandem with Simple boosts both Swoobat’s Special Attack and Special Defense by two stages each. Substitute shields Swoobat against from status and allows it to more safely set up Calm Minds and lowers its own health, which increases increasing the likelihood that the Salac Berry will activate. Stored Power after a boost can turn into an enormously strong base 100, 180, or even a 260 100, 180, or even 260-Base Power STAB move. Without a boost, however, Swoobat is left with an unreliable base 20 20-Base Power attacking move. Psychic is more consistent in damage output, is over four times stronger before a boost, and just slightly weaker after one Calm Mind. Air Slash hits Dark-types for STAB neutral damage, (don't add the comma here. if while = at the same time, don't add one and if while = whereas add a comma) while also beating bulky Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna as Swoobat out-boosts them.

Simple doubles Swoobat's stat changes, essentially raising two stages for every one stage boosted by Calm Mind. Swoobat's Salac Berry Speed boost also is under the effect of Simple and allows Swoobat to outpace all Choice Scarf users after it activates. A Timid nature, backed by Mmaximum Special Attack and Speed EVs, assists Swoobat in more aptly sweeping with Calm Mind end-game late-game. Unlike many other Rock-type weak Pokemon Pokemon weak to the Rock-type, (or Rock-weak) Swoobat only has to adjust its spread with needs 4 HP EVs to account for Stealth Rock create an even number to both account for Stealth Rock, as Swoobat actually wants an even HP number to and be able to use Substitute down to the activation of its Salac Berry. (just spoke with asa and you only make 4 subs and not 5 with 4 hp so that's worth mentioning)

Usage Tips
========

Calm Mind should be used in the face of weaker Special Attackers special attackers such as Lurantis and Combusken. Contrarily, Substitute should be used in the face of passive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Audino, and Altaria or when you predict a switch. Make use of turns of Memento and dual screens wisely by correctly determining when to use Calm Mind or Substitute to better the chances of a sweep. Swoobat has the best chance to sweep late-game, (AC) since it can have issues setting up more than once, and prefers that checks and counters such as Skuntank, Spiritomb, and Choice Scarf Primeape and Togedemaru be removed first before attempting to set setting up.

Despite its 4x resistance to Fighting-type attacks, Swoobat is not a sufficient Fighting-type answer, so Pokemon that can check Fighting-types, especially Choice Scarf Primeape, (use — if you're gonna add dashes because that's the bbcode the dex accepts) but also do not overlap type weaknesses such as Weezing and Silvally-Fairy make good partners. Meowstic-M can set up Reflect and Light Screen for it, cutting in half the attacking power that would have been dealt to Swoobat [unnecessary info] Swoobat, which increases the likelihood of it setting up a Calm Mind and sweeping. However, Meowstic-M and Swoobat do not have the greatest type synergy and are quite evident predictable in what they are trying to accomplish. Memento users such as Skuntank and Jumpluff can also assist Swoobat by lowering the opponent's foe's Attack and Special Attack by two stages each. Memento can also be powered up by Darkinium Z on Skuntank, allowing Swoobat the chance to set up a second time if needed. Swoobat is extremely frail, so slow pivots such as Lanturn, Type: Null, and the previously aforementioned Silvally-Fairy make good partners. Swoobat appreciates being paired with strong wallbreakers, such as Aggron, Absol, and Drampa, that can help pave its way towards a sweep such as Aggron, Absol, and Drampa to break defensive backbones such aslike the combination of Spiritomb, Qwilfish, and Clefairy. Entry hazards such as Spikes and Stealth Rock from Clefairy and Qwilfish support Swoobat by chipping away at the opposing Pokemon's health as it switches in, making it easier for Swoobat to nab the KO.

Roost sustains Swoobat's longevity, but it needs Calm Mind to make use of Simple, needs Substitute to activate Salac Berry reliably, and cannot function as a mono-attacking set. Heat Wave can be used over Air Slash to hit opposing Steel-types, but Aggron is not even 2HKOed after Stealth Rock and Togedemaru's most viable set, it's Choice Scarf set,Togedemaru outspeeds and OHKOes Swoobat. Electric Seed can be used to boost Swoobat's physical Defense stat, but requires an overwhelming level of team support and lacks the Speed necessary to deal with opposing Choice Scarf users. Good teammates for Swoobat utilizing this item include Alolan Raichu and Togedemaru. A Kee Berry can boost Swoobat's Defense stat by two stages as well but requires Swoobat to be able to take a physical hit first. Signal Beam can be used over Air Slash to hit opposing Psychic-types such as Mesprit and Musharna while hitting Dark-types for super effective damage, but because it isn't its lack of STAB, makes it does damage less than Air Slash against Skuntank and Spiritomb while stilling hitting Shiftry super effectively. Air Slash is also is able to beat most Psychic-types one-on-one, (AC) as it can use Calm Mind to out-boost Mesprit and Musharna. Giga Drain restores Swoobat's health while dealing super effective damage to Rock-types such as Regirock, Carracosta, and Omastar but doesn't do much outside of that. aside from the line breaks issue, which should be watched out for in future to ensure keeping analysis format, i would consider looking at comma rules such as using one before as / since if it means because and having one before and / but / or if both clauses are independent. the program you're using also doesn't add AC / RB comments, so add them manually to ensure it's clear for the writer. overall, this was really solid and i hope to see more after reading these comments and feedback.
