Weezing-Galar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Neutralizing Gas
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Strange Steam
- Will-O-Wisp/ Toxic Spikes
- Defog/ Pain Split

Since this isn't Iron Head Urshifu , Weezing-G is a nice pick as a counter towards Urshifu as it resists both of it's stab and Poison Jab does a bit less than Wicked Blow, which can lead up to Weezing-G remove it with Strange Steam, or being able to set up Toxic Spikes , cripple switchins with Will-O-Wisp, remove hazards with Defog , or recover some health with Pain Split to remain healthy.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Moonblast
- Teleport
- Protect / Thunder Wave

Clefable resists and avoids the 2HKO from both of Urshifu's STAB moves but need to watch out for Poison Jab. Moonblast of course OHKOes back and you can WishTect to heal yourself or Thunder Wave to cripple one of Urshifu's teammate.

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 230-272 (58.3 - 69%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable on a critical hit: 129-153 (32.7 - 38.8%) -- 99.4% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 129-152 (32.7 - 38.5%) -- 99.1% chance to 3HKO

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Anger Point
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat

Anger Point Krookodile can function as a check to Urshifu. If it comes in on Wicked Blow, its attack gets boosted to +6 due to Anger Point, allowing it to go on a tear with the speed from Choice Scarf. As such, Urshifu is deterred from using Wicked Blow throughout the game, giving you an overall easier time to deal with it. However, it's very risky to go hard Krookodile on Urshifu not locked into Wicked Blow, as Close Combat is a clean OHKO and Choice Band-boosted U-turn is also a roll to do so.

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile on a critical hit: 193-228 (58.3 - 68.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile: 774-912 (233.8 - 275.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile: 86-101 (25.9 - 30.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu U-turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile: 302-356 (91.2 - 107.5%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

+6 252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 603-711 (176.8 - 208.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+6 252 Atk Krookodile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 146-172 (42.8 - 50.4%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO
+6 252 Atk Krookodile Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 201-237 (58.9 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 252 Atk Krookodile Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 964-1136 (282.6 - 333.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I know it's pretty unorthodox to submit cores to projects like this, but Toxapex + Mandibuzz is one of the main ways of dealing with Urshifu in the tier and it definitely deserves to be highlighted.

:sm/toxapex::sm/mandibuzz:
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes

Mandibuzz (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 164 SpD / 96 Spe
Careful Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Defog
- U-turn

The concept of this is nothing complicated. Toxapex is one of the most resilient defensive pivots in the tier, it is even capable of pivoting into Urshifu's Wicked Blow with little repercussion thanks to Regenerator. It can't quite stay in as Toxapex is still 2HKOed by Wicked Blow, but together with a sturdy Dark-resistant Pokemon like Mandibuzz, it becomes nearly impossible for Choice Band Urshifu to break teams down on its own.

reserving kommo-o as soft check

:ss/Kommo-o:
Kommo-o @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Iron Defense

:kommo-o: softchecks urshifu as it can come in on wicked blow and poison jab and when urshifu is locked into sucker punch it can get up rocks or use it as iron defense setup-fodder.
kommo-o can come in at least 3 times into an adamant choice band boosted wicked blow and the same goes to poison jab, kommo-o however has to be really careful about
switching into close combats as a close combat 2hkoes kommo-o. but in overall kommo-o can act like a nice soft check to urshifu and when predicted right or when it is locked into sucker punch can use it as fodder to set rocks or set-up with iron defense.

calcs:
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Kommo-o on a critical hit: 103-122 (29 - 34.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Kommo-o: 92-109 (25.9 - 30.7%) -- 64.2% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Sucker Punch vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Kommo-o: 60-72 (16.9 - 20.3%) -- possible 7HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 200+ Def Kommo-o: 207-244 (58.4 - 68.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

200+ Def Kommo-o Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 270-318 (79.1 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 200+ Def Kommo-o Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 536-632 (157.1 - 185.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. +2 252 HP / 200+ Def Kommo-o: 103-123 (29 - 34.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Hawlucha serves as an offensive Check to Urshifu-SS.

:ss/Hawlucha:
Hawlucha @ Grassy Seed
Adamant Nature
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 Atk / 28 Def / 228 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Close Combat
- Roost/Taunt/Substitute

It is able to do so thanks to its unique typing. Defensively, Lucha’s type lets it resist Urshifu’s duel STAB without fear of a super-effective Poison Jab. It then has the option to either attempt to revenge kill Urshifu-SS through Close Combat or to set up Swords Dance. Offensively, Lucha is faster and can OHKO Urshifu-SS through CC 93.8% of the time. Meanwhile, should that 6.2% chance come to be, Grassy Seed neutralizes the stat drop to Defense and Urshifu-SS always 2HKOs Lucha at neutral meaning the Grassy Seed ensures the 1v1 without CC crits.

It is also worth noting that in addition to winning 1v1, Lucha can abuse Urshifu-SS to start setting up with SD to either +2 if it Wicked Blows, switches out, or gets a good roll on CC, or +4 if it doesn’t win that roll (the reason I gave it some Defense instead of max/max). Lucha can then use its Attack boosts courtesy of Urshifu-SS to start sweeping or wall-breaking. Also last move doesn’t matter, use whatever you prefer.

252+ Atk Hawlucha Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Urshifu: 338-402 (99.1 - 117.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. +1 0 HP / 28 Def Hawlucha: 132-156 (44.4 - 52.5%) -- 18.4% chance to 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Hawlucha: 197-232 (66.3 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Hawlucha on a critical hit: 197-232 (66.3 - 78.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

reserving av magearna

:ss/Magearna:
Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 248 HP / 224 SpD / 36 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Fleur Cannon
- Iron Head
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast

:magearna: is a great defensive check to alakazam is it can come in on any attack and threatens alakazam with an iron head or strong fleur cannon. alakazam cant bypass magearna without knocking off its assault vest first or boosting itself at least to a +2 via nasty plot. but when alakazam decides to use nasty plot infront of magearna alakazam takes a lot of damage from either fleur cannon or iron head.

magearna doesnt mind fleur cannons special attack drops as iron head will do still a good amount of damage and forces alakazam to use recover if it wants to stay decently healthy. furthermore magearna can gain a slow momentum via volt switch to bring in another teammate to threaten alakazam. in general av-magearna has the ability to check alakazam very well throughout the entirety of the game.

calcs:
0 SpA Magearna Fleur Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Alakazam: 184-217 (73.3 - 86.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Magearna Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Alakazam: 147-174 (58.5 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Magearna Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Alakazam: 67-79 (26.6 - 31.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
0 SpA Magearna Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Alakazam: 56-67 (22.3 - 26.6%) -- 22.3% chance to 4HKO

+2 228 SpA Life Orb Alakazam Dazzling Gleam vs. 248 HP / 224+ SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 51-60 (14 - 16.5%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 228 SpA Life Orb Alakazam Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 224+ SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 153-181 (42.1 - 49.8%) -- 28.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 228 SpA Life Orb Alakazam Psychic vs. 248 HP / 224+ SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 86-101 (23.6 - 27.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock

Reserving SD Aegislash

:ss/Aegislash:
Aegislash @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head
- Shadow Claw

Aegislash resists everything that Alakazam can throw at it outside of Shadow Ball which it rarely runs anymore. This set will always KO an Alakazam with a shadow sneak. Or if you suspect sash and want to play it safe, shadow claw into sneak allows you to circumvent this issue.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Atk / 164 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Superpower

Outside of Psychic Terrain, Scizor can always come in, tank anything, and then OHKO with Bullet Punch.
Under Psychic Terrain though, Scizor has to be careful about switching in because Psychic + Focus Blast or 2 Focus Blasts can KO Scizor before it KOs in return with U-turn.

Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
- Low Kick
Weavile easily outspeeds and OHKOs Alakazam with Knock Off. Weavile is unable to switch into Alakazam as it is made of tissue paper, but it can function as a great offensive check to Alakazam.

Specs Dragapult as a Check

:choice_specs:
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hex
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder Wave
- U-turn

Standard specs Dragapult functions as an excellent check to Alakazam. While it cannot switch in to a Gleam or Psychic repeatedly, a slow pivot or aggressive double on a NP/Recover can allow it in freely. Both specs Hex and Draco are guaranteed OHKOs, and Modest with max Speed still gets you the jump on all Alakazam variants.

Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Swords Dance

Mimikyu is a check to NP Alakazam. Mimikyu will always live a hit due to Disguise and deal lots of damage to Alakazam. Shadow Sneak has a 62.5 chance to OHKO from full, and if Alakazam lives, he will then die due to LO recoil. Mimkyu can also SD up without dying due to disguise. Adamant can be run to always OHKO Alakazam from full

252 Atk Life Orb Mimikyu Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Alakazam: 237-281 (94.4 - 111.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
+2 252 Atk Life Orb Mimikyu Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 28 Def Alakazam: 468-554 (186.4 - 220.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mandibuzz is a great check against Alakazam as it can come in on as it Nasty Plots and stomach Focus Blast or Dazzling Gleam from +2 and can get the guaranteed OHKO against Alakazam with a Knock Off. Mandibuzz really doesn't wanna get Knock Off and lose its Boots when there are rocks on field against Dazzling Gleam versions as it can then be a OHKO from +2 after stealth rock damage while Focus Blast is still a 2HKO after rocks.

228 SpA Life Orb Alakazam Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zeraora: 234-277 (73.8 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
