While Sylveon is strongly outshined by Clefable in SS OU, its higher Special Defense brings an upside, especially against Kyurem and Hydreigon, while acting as an even better check to Keldeo and Dragapult. However, the lack of Magic Guard and Teleport makes Clefable far better in comparison and undermines Sylveon's niche almost entirely. Hyper Voice is used alongside Pixilate to hit Kyurem, Hydreigon, Dragapult, and Keldeo. The last move in its arsenal can be either Heal Bell or Mystical Fire. The former helps Sylveon itself and teammates avoid the burdens from status effects, especially damage from Toxic, while also making Sylveon an even better check to Hex Dragapult, whereas the latter provides useful coverage for denting Ferrothorn, Excadrill, and Aegislash on the switch.

Corviknight, Hippowdon, Ferrothorn, and Kommo-o are all great teammates, covering for the physical attackers Sylveon can't properly check, such as Excadrill and Dracovish. Ferrothorn and Kommo-o also greatly appreciate Sylveon's Wish support. Steel-types like Aegislash and Excadrill can take advantage of Sylveon, especially if Sylveon lacks Mystical Fire; thus, having switch-ins to them like Corviknight and Seismitoad are always helpful. Rotom-H is a problem for Sylveon as well, so checks to it like the aforementioned Seismitoad are quite welcome.

With massive special defense, Sylveon is one of the few Pokémon capable of checking the threatening Dragon-types in the tier, such as Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Kyurem, while also doubling up as a check to Keldeo and Mantine thanks to maximum special defense investment. Sylveon is a great Wish passer as well. It's probably worth pointing out that Sylveon is very reliant on WishTect to stay healthy, which can lead to awkward situations. The last move in its arsenal can be either Heal Bell or Mystical Fire. The former helps Sylveon itself and teammates avoid damage from Toxic and other status effects, while also making Sylveon an even better check to Hex Dragapult, the latter provides useful coverage for denting Ferrothorn on the switch in, making Sylveon quite the nuisance against balance teams built around the core of Clefable and Ferrothorn, if Clefable isn't Calm Mind, that is. If it's not Calm Mind, Clefable still forces a favorable stalemate. You can just leave it at denting Ferrothorn. Quick Attack is also an option in the last slot, helping the Dugtrio matchup (as Hyper Voice does not OHKO), as well as being useful to pick off threats like Terrakion, Hydreigon, and Dragon Dance Dragapult, if they're weakened enough, that is. Corviknight, Hippowdon, Ferrothorn, and Kommo-o are all great teammates, helping Sylveon by cover the physical attackers it can't properly check. Notable examples include Excadrill that can be checked by the first two, and Dracovish by the last two. Ferrothorn and Kommo-o also greatly appreciate Sylveon's Wish support. Unfortunately, Sylveon is very vulnerable to Dugtrio, so always be mindful when battling one not to let Sylveon get trapped, especially if it's needed to check a Pokémon like Hydreigon or Dragapult. Definitely note Steel-resistant Pokemon as well; Aegislash can prove to be quite annoying otherwise.
Good job, 1/2.

I'd definitely comment about the massive competition with Clefable; Sylveon's viability was shot in the foot by the former's surge within the last month or so. With massive special defense, Sylveon is one of the few Pokémon no accent e capable of checking the threatening Dragon-types in the tier, such as Dragapult, Hydreigon, and Kyurem, while also doubling up as a check to Keldeo and Mantine irrelevant mention, replace or remove entirely. Sylveon is a great Wish passer as well, although being reliant on it to heal itself can be a problem as the opponent can take advantage of Protect turns. The last move in its arsenal can be either Heal Bell or Mystical Fire. The former helps Sylveon itself and teammates avoid damage from Toxic and other status effects, while also making Sylveon an even better check to Hex Dragapult, the latter provides useful coverage for denting Ferrothorn on the switch in I'd generalize it to Steel-types as a whole; fuck giving Aegislash and Excadrill a free switch in.. Quick Attack is also an option in the last slot No it isn't, not without Dugtrio in the tier., helping the Dugtrio matchup (as Hyper Voice does not OHKO), as well as being useful to pick off threats like Terrakion, Hydreigon, and Dragon Dance Dragapult, if they're weakened enough, that is.

Corviknight, Hippowdon, Ferrothorn, and Kommo-o are all great teammates, helping Sylveon by cover the physical attackers it can't properly check. Notable examples include Excadrill that can be checked by the first two, and Dracovish by the last two. These first two sentences can be combined I feel; right now this section reads awkwardly up to this point. Ferrothorn and Kommo-o also greatly appreciate Sylveon's Wish support. Unfortunately, Sylveon is very vulnerable to Dugtrio Not anymore!, so always be mindful when battling one not to let Sylveon get trapped, especially if it's needed to check a Pokémon like Hydreigon or Dragapult. Steel-types like Aegislash and Excadrill I'd note Rotom-H here too because Sylveon really doesn't have an out versus it. can also be a nuisance Maybe reword this to focus on why they're a nuisance, i.e. they can easily take advantage of Sylveon by setting up with Swords Dance or, in the case of Aegislash, using Sylveon as a free chance to come in and wallbreak. , especially if Sylveon lacks Mystical Fire, thus, having switch-ins to these, like Corviknight and Seismitoad, are always helpful.

Rotom-H is a problem for Sylveon as well; (RC, add semicolon) checks to it like the aforementioned Seismitoad are quite welcome
