While Synthesis may seem weird on an offensive Pokemon like Kartana, this set actually provides some great compression for teams. Kartana can effectively remove entry hazards with Defog from many prominent setters like Garchomp, Ferrothorn, and Gliscor because it can pivot into them thanks to its typing and pretty good Defense and beat them with its powerful attacks. Naturally amazing Attack, on the other hand, enables Kartana to keep decent offensive presence and make progress even with reduced investment. Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock such as Volcarona, Victini, and Weavile appreciate Kartana clearing entry hazards away; the former two also appreciate Garchomp getting knocked out by Kartana.

Kartana's typing and pretty good Defense let it pivot on threats like Garchomp, Gliscor, and Ferrothorn and remove their hazards. if you’re going to list setters then it would be better if you were to directly specify setters. def would like to see an explanation as to why kart would run defog here too since it’s not immediately apparent than kart beats a lot of rockers.
