RU Talonflame [QC 1/1][GP 0/1]

:talonflame:
Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Will-O-Wisp
- U-turn
- Roost

Talonflame swoops in like a heat-seeking missile; fast, fiery, and impossible to ignore. This set functions as a reliable pivot that provides key role compression on balance and offense teams. Brave Bird prevents setup sweepers from exploiting its otherwise passive utility moves, also giving Talonflame valuable revenge-killing utility against frailer threats like Gengar and Mienshao, while Will-O-Wisp and Flame Body punish physical attackers such as Mienshao, Bisharp, Krookodile, and Mimikyu. U-turn maintains momentum for wallbreakers that threaten common switch-ins like Hippowdon and Slowbro, and Roost ensures Talonflame can repeatedly check what it needs to throughout a match. Heavy-Duty Boots are crucial for safely entering the field despite Stealth Rock, giving Talonflame freedom to pivot aggressively. Tera Water removes its Rock-type weakness and improves matchups against Barraskewda, Basculegion-F, and Feraligatr. While bulky Water-types and strong special attackers can force it out, proper positioning lets Talonflame continue pressuring physical offense. Special walls such as Umbreon and Hisuian Goodra cover these threats, while attackers like Mienshao, Gallade, and Crawdaunt readily exploit the openings it creates.

Talonflame swoops in like a heat-seeking missile; fast, fiery, and impossible to ignore. This set functions as a reliable pivot that provides key role compression on balance and offense teams. Brave Bird prevents setup sweepers from exploiting its otherwise passive utility moves, also able to revenge kill Pokemon such as Gengar and Mienshao, which is a good chunk of Talons viability while Will-O-Wisp and Flame Body punish physical attackers such as Mienshao, Bisharp, Krookodile, and Mimikyu. Tera Water removes its Rock-type weakness and improves matchups against Barraskewda, Basculegion-F, and Volcanion. While bulky Water-types and strong special attackers can force it out, proper positioning lets Talonflame continue pressuring physical offense. Special walls such as Umbreon and Hisuian Goodra cover these threats, while attackers like Galarian Zapdos Mienshao, Gapdos has risen to UU Gallade, and Crawdaunt readily exploit the openings it creates.

Majority of this is good, just a bit of tidying up to do. QC 1/1
