Fairy
========

Boasting excellent typing, Tapu Bulu can act as a check to Electric-, Ground-, and Water-type Pokemon, such as Rotom-W, Alolan Raichu, Tapu Koko, Hippowdon, Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Toxapex. Its high Attack combined with Grassy Terrain and Swords Dance allows Tapu Bulu to act as a wallbreaker for Fairy-type teams with a boosted Grass-type STAB attack in Horn Leech, which also provides good HP recovery. Moreover, coverage options such as High Horsepower and Close Combat allow Tapu Bulu to take on threats such as Jirachi, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and Aegislash on the switch-in. However, Tapu Bulu stacks a Poison-type weakness for its team and is forced out by their presence. Having a subpar Speed stat forces Tapu Bulu to take a hit from faster targets before being able to act as well.

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance allows Tapu Bulu to wallbreak efficiently. Protect allows Tapu Bulu to scout for Choice-locked foes such as Excadrill and Gengar, as well as granting it a turn of extra recovery. Substitute can be used as an alternative over Protect to take advantage of weak specially offensive Pokemon that cannot break it such as Slowbro, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. Horn Leech is Tapu Bulu's main STAB attack, and Grassy Terrain not only provides a boost to Horn Leech but also passive recovery, which, when combined with the recovery from Horn Leech, lets it stay healthy throughout the game. High Horsepower is a handy coverage option that hits Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, and Jirachi, as well as Toxapex. Grassy Terrain provides passive recovery to teammates such as Azumarill, Klefki, and Galarian Weezing while also cutting Earthquake damage from foes like Garchomp and Swampert. 92 Speed EVs are used to be faster than Rotom-W without Speed investment, and the rest of the EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense to make Tapu Bulu as bulky as possible in order to take on problematic threats for Fairy teams, most notably Regieleki and Tapu Koko with the help of the Terrain change. Heavy-Duty Boots keeps Tapu Bulu healthy by preventing entry hazard chip damage and stops Sticky Web from worsening its already mediocre Speed.

Tapu Bulu is used best as a wallbreaker to weaken the opposing team, especially defensive threats such as Toxapex, Blissey, Porygon2, and Rotom-W, for teammates like Tapu Lele and Azumarill to clean later on. In order to do that, it is essential for Tapu Bulu to seek setup opportunities with Swords Dance against foes that cannot dish out a big amount of damage such as Rotom-W, Swampert, Hippowdon, and Garchomp lacking Fire Blast. Azumarill can repay Tapu Bulu for wallbreaking by taking care of Fire- and Steel-types such as Volcarona, Cinderace, Heatran, and Aegislash, while Tapu Lele in return helps with Poison-types such as Toxapex and Tapu Bulu additionally takes care of Ground- and Water-types for both. Klefki is a premier teammate for Tapu Bulu; having access to Spikes allows Tapu Bulu to break more easily, Reflect and Light Screen provide safer setup opportunities and Thunder Wave can make up for Tapu Bulu's mediocre Speed. Furthermore, Klefki covers up Tapu Bulu's main weaknesses in Poison, Flying, and Ice. Clefable provides Stealth Rock to chip down foes with residual damage and allow Tapu Bulu to have an easier time while breaking. Moreover, Clefable can absorb status for Tapu Bulu through Magic Guard. Galarian Weezing provides utility in Will-O-Wisp and Toxic Spikes, which cripple foes to allow Tapu Bulu to set up even more safely. Moreover, Galarian Weezing is excellent in a mirror matchup and against Grass-type teams, and its ability Neutralizing Gas can be helpful against Regenerator users such as Toxapex, Slowbro, and Galarian Slowking. In exchange, Tapu Bulu can take on Ground-type attacks for Galarian Weezing. Other wallbreakers such as Togekiss and Mimikyu reduce the workload of Tapu Bulu in several matchups that it cannot properly function in; the former is good against Grass-type Pokemon, while the latter is good against Psychic- and Ghost-types. Tapu Koko can be used to beat Flying-types that would otherwise take advantage of Tapu Bulu such as Corviknight, Celesteela, and Moltres.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Tapu Bulu can be used as a revenge killer with a spread of maximum Attack, maximum Speed, and a Jolly nature along with a Choice Scarf. This set allows Tapu Bulu to use coverage options such as Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, and Close Combat more reliably.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Celesteela, Corviknight, and Skarmory**: Celesteela, Corviknight, and Skarmory are capable of completely blocking Tapu Bulu with their typing and bulk. Celesteela can beat Tapu Bulu with Heavy Slam, while Corviknight and Skarmory can use Brave Bird against it.

**Poison-types**: Poison-types such as Gengar and Nihilego threaten Tapu Bulu with their STAB attacks.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types such as Ferrothorn can comfortably handle hits from Tapu Bulu and take advantage of it easily. However, they must be careful of Tapu Bulu's coverage in High Horsepower and Close Combat.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Rotom-H, Volcarona, and Moltres can comfortably resist Tapu Bulu's Grass-type attacks. However, these Pokemon should be careful of Tapu Bulu that carries Stone Edge.

**Grass-types**: Many Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Venusaur can comfortably switch into Tapu Bulu and even benefit from Grassy Terrain's recovery.

**Flying-types**: Tapu Bulu can do very little damage to Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, and these Pokemon can easily take advantage of Tapu Bulu. However, they must be wary of Stone Edge.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster threats such as Weavile, Landorus-I, and Tornadus-T, along with Choice Scarf users such as Galarian Zapdos, Excadrill, and Galarian Darmanitan can easily outspeed Tapu Bulu and KO it.

**Status**: Tapu Bulu is very susceptible to status effects; getting burned drastically lowers its wallbreaking capabilities, paralysis makes its mediocre Speed worse, and poison puts it on a timer.

* Having excellent typing allows Tapu Bulu to act as a check to Electric-, Ground-, and Water-type Pokemon, such as Alolan Raichu, Tapu Koko, Hippowdon, Garchomp, Toxapex, and Rotom-W.
* Grassy Terrain provides passive recovery to the team and culls Earthquake damage from foes like Garchomp and Swampert. However, it also heals the opposing team. (this I'd move to the 1st paragraph of set details to better align with the set explanation. Remove the second sentence of this bullet though)
* Its attack stat combined with Grassy Terrain and Swords Dance allows Tapu Bulu to act as a wallbreaker for Fairy-type teams with boosted Grass-type STAB attacks, which also provides a good sustain. (what does good sustain mean here?)
* Coverage options such as High Horsepower and Close Combat allows Tapu Bulu to take on threats such as Jirachi, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and Heatran on the switch.
* Tapu Bulu stacks a Poison-type weakness for its team and against users of such attacks, Tapu Bulu is forced out. to switch into Klefki.
* Having a subpar Speed stat forces Tapu Bulu to take a hit from faster targets before being able to act.

* Tapu Bulu is used best as a breaker, and it should be used to weaken the opposing team for teammates like Tapu Lele and Azumarill to clean later on.
* In order to do that, it is essential for Tapu Bulu to seek set up opportunities with Swords Dance, against foes that ditch out a big amount of damage, such as Rotom-W, Swampert, Hippowdon, and Garchomp lacking Fire Blast. (these last two bullet points in this paragraph read and belong more to the beginning of the paragraph below this)

* Late game cleaners such as Azumarill and Tapu Lele appreciate having Tapu Bulu in the team, as Tapu Bulu can effectively wall break for them to clean the late-game. (specify targets Bulu breaks for them, and likewise name Pokemon that Bulu struggles with that the azu/lele help to handle)
* Klefki is a premiere teammate for Tapu Bulu; having access to Spikes allows Tapu Bulu to break more easily, Reflect and Light Screen provides safer setup opportunities for Tapu Bulu, and Thunder Wave can make up with Tapu Bulu's mediocre speed stat. * Tapu Bulu can be used as a revenge killer with a spread of maximized Attack, Speed, and a Jolly nature along with a Choice Scarf. This set allows Tapu Bulu to use coverage options such as Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, and Close Combat more reliably.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Celesteela and Corviknight**: The two metal birds are capable of completely blocking Tapu Bulu with their typing and bulk. Celesteela can beat Tapu Bulu with Heavy Slam while Corviknight uses Brave Bird against it. (by extension, Skarmory also belongs here)

**Poison Types**: Poison-types such as Gengar and Nihilego threatens Tapu Bulu with their STAB attacks.

**Steel Types**: Steel-types such as Ferrothorn can comfortably handle hits from Tapu Bulu and take advantage of it easily. However, Steel-types who are weak to High Horsepower such as Heatran must be careful when switching in. (mention Close Combat here)

**Fire Types**: Fire-types such as Rotom-Heat, Volcarona, and Moltres can comfortably resist Tapu Bulu's Grass-type attacks. However, these Pokemon should be careful against Tapu Bulu that carries Stone Edge.

**Grass Types**: Many Grass-types can comfortably switch into Tapu Bulu, and even benefit from its terrain. (provide examples)

**Flying Types**: Tapu Bulu can do very little damage to Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, and these Pokemon can easily take advantage of Tapu Bulu. However, they must wary against Stone Edge.

**Revenge Killers**: Revenge killers, especially choice scarf Choice Scarf users such as Blacephalon, Victini, and Galarian Darmanitan can easily outspeed Tapu Bulu and KO it. (give examples of Pokemon from other types that can threaten it; the Fire-types bullet that's written already implies that they threaten them already)

**Status**: Tapu Bulu is very susceptible to status effects. Getting burnt drastically lowers its wallbreaking capabilities, it is already slow and paralysis makes it worse, and poison puts Tapu Bulu on a timer.

Whenever referencing types individually, such as "Poison-types", these should always be hyphenated and the word "types" fully lowercased; it's a QC/GP standard. Otherwise, a good start. QC 1/3

AM QC wow it's been forever since I touched an analysis again whew. Don't have my powers rip

* Grassy Terrain provides passive recovery to the team and culls Earthquake damage from foes like Garchomp and Swampert.
- You would want this comment to be placed further down, pretty much after the moveslots.
* 92 Speed EVs are used to be faster than Rotom-W without Speed investment, the rest of EVs are dumped into HP and Sp. Def to increase Tapu Bulu's overall bulk.
- I'd probably explain a bit more on its EVs. The question becomes to the reader: Why can't I throw the EVs into Attack for more damage? Why would I have to invest in bulk instead?
* Heavy-Duty Boots negates Tapu Bulu's overall entry hazard weakness.
- Make it specific, how does this help Tapu Bulu? It's not weak to Stealth Rock or anything. Why is the item better?

* Tapu Bulu can be used as a revenge killer with a spread of maximized Attack, Speed, and a Jolly nature along with a Choice Scarf. This set allows Tapu Bulu to use coverage options such as Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, and Close Combat more reliably.
- If anything, I would add Substitute here as it has been getting more play when paired with Swords Dance. It just helps Bulu safely set up a free Swords Dance while being able to force out a switch. Probably be good enough to slash it first alongside Protect at this point or maybe remove Protect and replace it with Substitute considering how much safety you need to set up. Protect just feels out of place with this set and I'd probably move it to other options (even in MWP that's going on, the move is showing quite the promise).
- You could also add Disable. I do find it pretty cool against slower and more passive Pokemon when paired with Substitute.
- Probably add Leftovers as a lesser item of choice but explain why it's not as good. Leftovers however does assist in helping Bulu setting up another Substitute cause of that + Grassy Terrain.

Horn Leech is its main STAB attack and Grassy Terrain not only provides a boost to Horn Leech but also passive recovery which when combined with the recovery from Horn leech, lets it stay healthy throughout the game.
- i don't like heatran as an example for high horsepower, since even specially defensive heatrans tend to be faster then this tapu bulu and either ko it or burn it with lava plume
- tapu koko doesn't receive grassy terrain recovery because it sets its own terrain
- just say Special Defense instead of Sp. Def
- when talking about what types azumarill can help bulu vs also give some pokemon examples
- remove diancie from its teammates its just plainly unviable
- add galarian weezing as a teammate

Its attack stat high Attack combined with Grassy Terrain and Swords Dance allows Tapu Bulu to act as a wallbreaker for Fairy-type teams with a boosted Grass-type STAB attack in Horn Leech, which also provides a good HP recovery. Moreover, coverage options such as High Horsepower and Close Combat allows allow (allows is incorrect here because options is plural, not singular) Tapu Bulu to take on threats such as Jirachi, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and Aegislash on the switch-in. However, Tapu Bulu stacks a Poison-type weakness for its team and against users of such attacks, Tapu Bulu is forced out by their presence. Having a subpar Speed stat forces Tapu Bulu to take a hit from faster targets before being able to act as well.

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance heavily enhances Tapu Bulu's wallbreaking potential by boosting its Attack. (dex info; you don't need to explain what sd does and you haven't said anything that boosted bulu can take on so removing) Protect allows Tapu Bulu to scout for Choice-locked foes such as Excadrill and Gengar, as well as granting Tapu Bulu a turn of extra recovery. Substitute can be used as an alternative over Protect, (RC) in order to take advantage of weak specially offensive Pokemon that cannot break it such as Slowbro, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. Horn Leech is its Tapu Bulu's main STAB attack, (AC) and Grassy Terrain not only provides a boost to Horn Leech but also passive recovery, (AC) which, (AC) when combined with the recovery from Horn leech Leech, lets it stay healthy throughout the game. High Horsepower is a handy coverage option that allows Tapu Bulu to hit Steel-types such as Aegislash, Heatran, (AC) and Jirachi, as well as Toxapex. Grassy Terrain provides passive recovery to the team and culls Earthquake damage from foes like Garchomp and Swampert (RC) while also providing passive recovery to teammates such as Azumarill, Klefki, and Galarian Weezing. 92 Speed EVs are used to be faster than Rotom-W without Speed investment, and the rest of EVs are dumped into HP and Special Defense to make Tapu Bulu as bulky as possible in order to take on problematic threats for Fairy teams, most notably Regieleki and Tapu Koko with the help of the Terrain change. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Tapu Bulu from getting affected by entry hazards; as the item negates the chip damage from Stealth Rock and Spikes, prevents poisoning from Toxic Spikes, (AC) and prevents Speed drop from Sticky Web.

Tapu Bulu is used best as a wallbreaker, (RC) (keep this) (never say "breaker" on its own; please define whether the pokemon is a wallbreaker or stallbreaker) and it should be used to weaken the opposing team for teammates like Tapu Lele and Azumarill to clean later on. In order to do that, it is essential for Tapu Bulu to seek set up opportunities with Swords Dance, (RC) against foes that cannot ditch dish out a big amount of damage, (RC) such as Rotom-W, Swampert, Hippowdon, and Garchomp lacking Fire Blast. For such reason, late Late-game (AH) cleaners such as Azumarill and Tapu Lele appreciate having Tapu Bulu in on the team, as Tapu Bulu can weaken the enemy team's against defensive threats such as Toxapex, Blissey, Porygon2, (RS) and Rotom-W for them to clean the up late-game. In return, Azumarill can take care of Fire- and Steel-types such as Volcarona, Cinderace, Heatran, and Aegislash while Tapu Lele helps with Poison-type matchups for Tapu Bulu, while and Tapu Bulu takes care of Ground- and Water-types. Klefki is a premier teammate for Tapu Bulu; having access to Spikes allows Tapu Bulu to break more easily. (RC/AP) Reflect and Light Screen provides provide safer setup opportunities for Tapu Bulu, (RC) and Thunder Wave can make up with Tapu Bulu's mediocre speed stat Speed. Furthermore, Klefki covers up Tapu Bulu's main weaknesses in Poison, Flying, and Ice. Clefable provides Stealth Rock to chip away foes with residual entry hazard damage, (RC) and allows Tapu Bulu to have an easier time while breaking. Moreover, Clefable can absorb status for Tapu Bulu through Magic Guard. Galarian Weezing provides utility in Will-O-Wisp and Toxic Spikes, which can be used to cripple foes and allow Tapu Bulu to set up even safer more safely. Moreover, Galarian Weezing is excellent in a mirror matchup and against Grass-type teams, (AC) and its ability Neutralizing Gas can be helpful against Regenerator Pokemon users such as Toxapex, Slowbro, and Galarian Slowking. In exchange, (AC) Tapu Bulu can take on Ground-type attacks for Galarian Weezing. Other wallbreakers such as Togekiss and Mimikyu reduces reduce the workload of Tapu Bulu in several matchups that Tapu Bulu cannot properly function; (RP/ASC) The the former is good against Grass-type Pokemon, (AC) while the latter is good against Psychic- and Ghost-type matchups. Tapu Koko can be used to beat Flying-types that would otherwise abuse take advantage of Tapu Bulu such as Corviknight, Celesteela, and Moltres.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Tapu Bulu can be used as a revenge killer with a spread of maximized maximum Attack, maximum Speed, and a Jolly nature along with a Choice Scarf. This set allows Tapu Bulu to use coverage options such as Zen Headbutt, Stone Edge, and Close Combat more reliably.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Celesteela, Corviknight, and Skarmory**: The three metal birds Celesteela, Corviknight, and Skarmory are capable of completely blocking Tapu Bulu with their typing and bulk. Celesteela can beat Tapu Bulu with Heavy Slam, (AC) while Corviknight and Skarmory uses can use Brave Bird against it.

**Poison-types**: (AH) Poison-types such as Gengar and Nihilego threatens threaten Tapu Bulu with their STAB attacks.

**Steel-types**: (AH) Steel-types such as Ferrothorn can comfortably handle hits from Tapu Bulu and take advantage of it easily. However, they must be careful against of Tapu Bulu's coverage in High Horsepower and Close Combat.

**Fire-types**: (AH) Fire-types such as Rotom-Heat, Volcarona, and Moltres can comfortably resist Tapu Bulu's Grass-type attacks. However, these Pokemon should be careful against of Tapu Bulu that carries Stone Edge.

**Grass-types**: (AH) Many Grass-types such as Ferrothorn and Venusaur can comfortably switch into Tapu Bulu, (RC) and even benefit from the terrain's Grassy Terrain's recovery.

**Flying-types**: (AH) Tapu Bulu can do very little damage to Flying-types such as Tornadus-T, and these Pokemon can easily take advantage of Tapu Bulu. However, they must be wary against Stone Edge.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster threats such as Weavile, Landorus-I, and Tornadus-T, along with Choice Scarf users such as Galarian Zapdos, Excadrill, and Galarian Darmanitan, (AC) (no need to add here) can easily outspeed Tapu Bulu and KO it.

**Status**: Tapu Bulu is very susceptible to status effects; (RP, ASC) Getting burnt getting burned drastically lowers its wallbreaking capabilities, it is already slow and paralysis makes its mediocre Speed worse, and poison puts Tapu Bulu on a timer.
