Thanks to the combination of Choice Specs and Psychic Surge, Tapu Lele is one of the most threatening wallbreakers in the metagame. Its power and great coverage make Tapu Lele near impossible to deal with defensively. Psyshock allows it to more easily beat special walls such as Blissey and Assault Vest Galarian Slowking. Focus Blast hits bulky Steel-types like Heatran and Ferrothorn super effectively while also being the best option against Corviknight and Scizor. Tapu Lele appreciates VoltTurn support from Pokemon like Tornadus-T and Zeraora, which can safely bring it in to start wallbreaking. Entry hazard support from the likes of Heatran and Ferrothorn makes Tapu Lele even more threatening. Magnezone can trap and remove certain Steel-types like Corviknight to make Tapu Lele's job easier. Pokemon like Clefable and Thunder Wave Dragapult, which can cripple and weaken Steel-types such as Heatran and Corviknight, are also appreciated.
