[OVERVIEW]

* Thanks to Tatsugiri's Commander, Dondozo is one of the most threatening and bulky Pokemon in the metagame, being able to get a OHKO on almost any foe without much trouble while also tanking almost any hit. Dondozo can fit in almost any team, both Offensive and Slow ones, as its sets can be very flexible depending on its temmates.

* Dondozo is best used as a finishing blow to already weakened teams that can't check it anymore, that's why Pokemon like Annhilape and Meowscarada, that are able to quickly dispose of threats with Final Gambit and Flower Trick respectively, are phenomenal partners.

* Dondozo has very few weaknesses, especially if it's using Water Veil, those being moves able to remove its boosts, such as Murkrow's Haze and Amoonguss's Clear Smog, that's why getting rid of those threats is essential for Dondozo's team.

[SET]
name: Sweeper
move 1: Order Up
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Wave Crash / Liquidation
move 4: Protect / Substitute
item: Lum Berry / Leftovers
ability: Water Veil / Oblivious
nature: Adamant
tera type: Dragon / Grass / Ground
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def

[SET COMMENTS]

* Order Up with a Stretchy Tatsugiri can be used on faster Dondozo variants to better threaten faster Pokemon such as Dragapult and Gholdengo, but a Curly Tatsugiri is often preferred to further increase Dondozo's Attack and circumvent Intimidate.

* Wave Crash is it's preferred STAB, being the most powerful and accurate, it allows Dondozo to OHKO Gholdengo and bulky Annihilape after Tatsugiri's Commander. Liquidation is a less powerful version of Wave Crash, but the lack of recoil often comes in handy on bulky sets whose purpose it to get rid of threats by outlasting them.

* Leftovers give Dondozo a form of passive recovery, further increasing it's already good bulk, while Lum Berry allows to avoid Burns if it's not running Water Veil, and Spore if it's not running Grass Tera-Type.

* This set maximizes Dondozo's Attack and HP for better consistency, but a bulkless variant with 252 Attack, 252 Speed and a Jolly Nature can be used to apply even more pressure on the opposing Pokemon.

* As for Tera Types, Dragon and Steel are the best ones for general purpose, as they allow Dondozo to resist common Grass-Type checks such as Meowscarada, and have a favorable or neutral matchup against almost anything. Steel is usually preferred, as it makes Dondozo immune to Clear Smog, but Dragon is also popular for providing STAB boost on Order Up. Grass is used to become immune to Amoonguss's Spore and Rage Powder. Ground allows to get STAB boost on Earthquake, giving Dondozo and even more powerful spread move while also making it immune to Electric-Types, that would otherwise threaten it. Fire can be used in combination with Oblivious to become immune to both Will-O-Wisp and Intimidate.

* A set with a Chesto Berry and Rest can be used to further increase Dondozo's longevity, with the added benefit of getting rid of Paralysis and, most importantly, Burn.

* Dondozo can use a set with Rest, Sleep Talk, Order Up, Wave Crash, and Unaware as Ability to outlast Unaware Skeledirge and ignore the boosts of Gholdengo and Rotom-W, while also circumventing status conditions, but doing so makes it way less threatening for other common checks such as Amoonguss and Arcanine.

[OVERVIEW]

* Tatsugiri is mainly used as a booster for its brother in arms Dondozo, and shouldn't be used in any other situation, as its lackluster stats aren't enough to be competitive on their own, but despite being this reliant on Dondozo, it can still help the team when its companion faints. Tatsugiri is often used with Choice Specs or Choice Scarf, being able to dish out decent spread damage with Muddy Water or provide speed control with Icy Wind, or end the fight with Draco Meteor after the opposing team has already been weakened by Dondozo.

[SET]
name: Choice Attacker
move 1: Muddy Water
move 2: Draco Meteor
move 3: Icy Wind
move 4: Dragon Pulse / Helping Hand / Protect
item: Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
ability: Commander
nature: Timid
tera type: Water / Dragon
evs: 4HP / 252SpA / 252Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Muddy Water and Draco Meteor provide a good STAB combination to hit common metagame staples such as Tera-Fire Hydreigon, Arcanine, and Garchomp. Icy Wind provides speed control to better set up a Dondozo Sweep in the late game. Helping Hand is a nice option to use alongside partners like Choice Scarf Gholdengo to easily clean up the remaining opponents after Dondozo faints. Protect can be used even in a Choice-Item set, as it allows to stall the game state and potentially set up double screens with Grimmsnarl before switching to Dondozo.

* Tatsugiri can run a set with Life Orb in order to avoid the Choice-Item lock, but the lack of a significant Speed Boost and the recoil damage make it easier to eliminate before Dondozo has the chance to step in.

* The Tera Types for Tatsugiri are simple and straightforward, as the Terastalization is often reserved to Dondozo; Water and Dragon boost Tatsugiri's STABs, making it an even more reliable cleaner after Dondozo faints.

(Tatsugiri definitely shouldn't be on its own on a team, but for some teams its justified to bring it without Dondozo in certain matchups.) Tatsugiri is often used with Choice Specs or Choice Scarf, being able to dish out decent spread damage with Muddy Water or provide speed control with Icy Wind, or end the fight with Draco Meteor after the opposing team has already been weakened by Dondozo. (It can also be led as long as you play it properly and it doesnt die before Dondozo comes out, should problaby be mentioned. Also a lot here is later explained in set comments and repetitive.)

[SET]
name: Choice Attacker
move 1: Muddy Water
move 2: Draco Meteor
move 3: Icy Wind
move 4: Dragon Pulse / Helping Hand / Protect / Soak (are you sure Helping Hand and Protect are worth it on a mon that can already do good work itsself? I also think Soak has enough usage to be worth mentioning, mainly next to Meowscarada)
item: Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
ability: Commander
nature: Timid
tera type: Water / Dragon
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe (Added space between the numbers and stats)

[SET COMMENTS]

* Muddy Water and Draco Meteor provide a good STAB combination to hit common metagame staples such as Tera-Fire Hydreigon, Arcanine, and Garchomp. Icy Wind provides speed control to better set up a Dondozo Sweep in the late game. (Most Dondozo sets are Unaware, this should be rephrased) Helping Hand is a nice option to use alongside partners like Choice Scarf Gholdengo (Gholdengo is immune to Helping Hand because of Good As Gold, also rephrase this point) to easily clean up the remaining opponents after Dondozo faints.

(Does this really need to exist? Almost everyone is choiced and just have the choice set in the analysis is more than enough. And if you are doing an option that is not choiced, shouldn't it be Focus Sash?)

* The Tera Types for Tatsugiri are simple and straightforward, as the Terastalization is often reserved to Dondozo; Water and Dragon boost Tatsugiri's STABs, making it still a threat an even more reliable cleaner after Dondozo faints.

A spread of 244 HP / 252 Att / 4 Def / 4 SpDef / 4 Spe might be more efficient for bulky Dondozo. You still hit 256 HP (which is a Leftovers number) while also increase your def/spdef/spe by 1.
