Hello again, this post is less of a showcase than the previous rmts and more of a “this idea looks cool and needs some tinkering”. In testing, I got to 1650 on ladder (which is surprisingly number one please can more people play our ladder) and I used it in a semi finals of a side tour and got the matchup I was fishing (Replays will be at the end)

Before I go into the team the idea was that I wanted to use some sort of fat para spam without using the in my opinion, the useless Bronzong and I also didn’t want to play mind games with SD Excadrill. I also wanted an edge up in the hazard and para war so I thought Taunt Gliscor and Clefable made sense.

:Tyranitar:
Tyranitar @ Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Atk / 200 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Rock Slide
- Thunder Wave

Probably the only check to Volcarona this team has which is super suspicious but seems as you dont really see Volcarona with Spikes its borderline okay. T-Wave spreading is obviously really useful to enable Reuniclus late game and at least getting off Pursuit once on Alakazam or Paralysing it is really useful. Other than that its just a Tyranitar.

12 speed investment is just to speed creep opposing Clefable and crunch it which in hindsight is probably super pointless.

:Clefable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
- Ice Beam/Seismic Toss
- Knock Off
- Thunder Wave
- Soft-Boiled

Clefable is the new toy in BW and to be honest I felt quirky and wanted to try build with it. Clefables main role as it is on most teams its seen on is to support a Reuniclus end game. It’s also the only thing thats really stopping Rotom-W from destroying the team. Clefable does compete with Blissey in this spot but trying to fit spin support on a team like this is really difficult when you’re already trying to squeeze in a lot of role compression as it is. Clefables main entry points on this team are vs bulky water types especially since this team has no true water resist apart from Latias which doesn’t appreciate taking Scald or Toxic. Honestly not sure on if I prefer Ice beam>Seismic Toss but I think Opposing Gliscor would really annoy this team and stick around forever spamming Knock off or Sword Dance so Ice Beam made sense to me here.

16 Speed Evs creeps Tyranitar and opposing Clefable which in hindsight isn’t that useful considering I’m Ice Beam>Seismic Toss so that could be changed. I opted against the 60 defence Evs since the team has Latias and Reuniclus for Keldeo Secret Sword so if you need to take a Sword with Clefable you probably messed up somewhere.

:Gliscor:
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 116 Def / 148 Spe
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Protect

Gliscor is Excadrill insurance as well as giving the team a Paralysis absorber as well as a Knock off absorber (As long as you Protect turn one). Taunt is really interesting too me as it cuts off healing from defensive walls like Blissey, Skarm, Reuniclus and Clefable while also denying hazards and T-Wave. Against opposing fat it’s especially good in the early game for denying hazards for Tyranitar and allows your team to absorb Knock off from Ferrothorn and Clefable.

263 Speed allows you to Taunt lead Skarmory turn one and establish your Rocks. It also allows you to aggressively Taunt Pokemon such as Gyarados and Dragonite from lead as well as Scizor trying to set up late game.

:Latias:
Latias (F) @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Recover
- Thunder Wave

Lati twins are usually required on these teams. It’s the main check to Thundurus-Therian as well as Choice locked Keldeos and the switch into Reuniclus trying to set up. It’s also the only Mon on this team that hits the 347 speed benchmark as well as being the only true water resist on this team.

:Reuniclus:
Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Signal Beam/Hidden Power Ice
- Calm Mind
- Recover

Reuniclus is the win con on this team and has a lot of support in doing so. It’s also a good defensive pivot into Pokemon that usually scare Clefable out such as Terrakion, Non-Choice locked Keldeo and vs Hyper Offence can be used to damage Dragonite and Garchomp. Im not certain on Signal Beam on this team. The team has a lot of Paralysis support so the Reuniclus war is already pretty good but I do enjoy being able to reliably hit Paralysed Tyranitar while being set up. I dont see this team benefitting from Focus Blast because we already have Gliscor and Skarmory to deal with Excadrill but I can see Hidden Power Ice being useful to sure up the Hyper Offence Matchup.
Set Details
Speed invest for opposing Reuniclus. Again probably useless since we have Paralysis support but seems as most Reuniclus teams also have that its probably worth it.

:Skarmory:
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird/Counter
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost
Spiker and the primary Landorus switch in. I use Rocky Helmet here to put further pressure on Excadrill and keep hazards up. I know Counter is primarily used on Physically Defensive Skarmory but this team has no real out for Choice band Mamoswine (Yes I know I said Bronzong is useless) so I do think Counter could be considered an option here. In all the games I played with this team I did use Brave Bird

Threat List
:Mamoswine: Mamoswine is super hard to deal with especially if it is Choice Band since we have no Ice resistance and it can flinch through Skarmory and Reuniclus easily.
:Volcarona: Although we do have Tyranitar it’s still hard to deal with Volcarona since it doesn’t really need to click Quiver Dance vs this team to do damage.
:Gyarados: It’s not seen often but Gyarados can be really difficult to deal with since we only have one water resistance and the Skarmory is Specially Defensive.
:Keldeo: More specifically Choice Specs Keldeo is really tough to deal with as Rain boosted Hydro Pump does massive damage to Latias.

Potential Changes
Choice Scarf Tyranitar>Chople berry Tyranitar
The team is fine into Alakazam as it is with Clefable and Skarmory and I think adding another mon faster then 350 that can also snipe Mamoswine could be important.
PhysDef Skarmory>SpeDef Skarmory
This would make Mamoswine, Dragonite, Garchomp and Gyarados a lot easier to deal with as well annoying Excadrill more. I think with this change you can also justify using Counter>Brave Bird.
Seismic Toss>Ice beam
This would allow the team to fair better into Volcarona and would also potentially justify the switch to Scarf Tyranitar.

I’m open to any suggestions about the team. For clarity i’m not claiming to have reinvented the wheel here I just thought this was a cool take Sand Fat. Thank you for reading!
