Okay so i made this team 2 days ago and i did fairly well on ladder averaging about 15 wins and 3 losses. The only times i lost were mainly because of major haxs or just misplay. But im always looking for Tips for my team so i can use this team on wifi or at school so i can be fairly good.
Okay lets get started
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock
This is my anti-lead azelf. Focus sash for obvious reasons. Max speed speed nature to out speed many leads. Basicly Fireblast and Grassknot provides good coverage. Grass knot for the common swampert leads of the metagame today and fireblast for everything else ranging from jirachi to the rare forretress leads. Also Im not too scared of trick leads mainly because my main priority is to actually kill the lead instead of setting up stealth rocks. Stealth rocks in only there because sometimes i see opportunities where i can set it up and i go right ahead and do that. Explosion for going KABLOOM in a sticky situation. However there are just some pokes that azelf does not face well and those include like awkward spriittomb leads and other pokes and that is why depending on the pokemon i switch the the appropriate counters.

Metagross @ Muscle Band
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 234 HP/252 Atk/24 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Thunderpunch
Well i chose Muscle Band over Life orb or leftovers because i wanted the extra kick but not losing any hp and sacrificing gaining hp. So yea classic Agiligross with a little mix. I put thunderpunch on there because i dont like gyarados switching in on me and thinking it can get a free ddance as i switch. 24 speed evs because thats really i all i need to outspeed other metagross or whatever. Hp evs are used for bulkiness and after an agility this metagross is faster than much of the metagame anyways reaching about 362 speed. Just enough to outspeed jolly scarftar.
---
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Wish
- Protect
This guy is amazing. I use to have offensive suicune here but it just wasnt strong enough to heal itself even for late game. And it couldnt provide wish support either. So i chose Vaporeon. For the most part it walls alot of things in the metagame such as subpetaya empoleon assuming it dosnt carry grass knot. I know i know theres no surf on this guy. Well its always nice to bluff surf right? xP Reason for no surf on this guy is because i want a dude that can just destroy gyarados and dragons. Im thinking about maybe changing HP elec to surf because of the fact that i have thunder punch on my metagross. Any thoughts guys?
---
Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/192 Spd/64 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- Overheat
- Mach Punch
Hehe infernape. This thing really helps out my team. I chose mach punch because of the fact that i cant really outspeed scarftar and thats what usually comes out on this guy and im not confident about the close combat haha. Umm U-turn to scout the opponents teams. Also its interesting to use in conjunction of killing a pesky breloom. Usuallly brelooms sleeps the first turn so i let something like vaporeon go to sleep and then i switch to infernape on the sub and uturn to gengar to take the focuspunch and KO breloom with shadow ball ^_^ stupid breloom xP. Well yeah the second reason i chose infernape was because of the abundance in skarmbliss on shoddy within the couple of days. Infernape is really good to switch in on blissey or skarm because it is mixed and has the capability to kill both if they predict wrong.
---
Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Thunderpunch
This guy is my scout. Its also interesting to send him in on a thunderbolt and u-turn to a appropriate counter while also doing decent damage. I dont really know why i put thunder punch. I guess for type coverage? Outrage is there if i really need it and trust me outrage has swept 2 or 3 members of a team before.Earthquake hits the metagame hard. I can also switch this in on a predicted choice scarf trick.
---
Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Protect
- Focus Blast
---
This acts as my second Swampert counter/spin blocker and resistance agaisnt ground and fighting. Its nice to switch this guy on a focuspunch. Anyway shadow ball for stab, protect to scout moves, focus blast to hit ttars and everything else that needs to get hit by it. And protect to scout moves.
Ok thats my team RATE UP GUYS !
