Thank you to all those involved in the last workshop for your effort and time

Hello, Halcyon. and I have decided to revive this project that was hosted by Trinitrotoluene earlier. I got da cool squad and everything and we'll certainly do our best to provide you with quality teams but this workshop does have some rules that I'd like everyone to follow before making a request. Here you will see the magic of veterans like BKC and Stathakis as well as some innovation from the likes of Invok3r, AM, Halcyon, m00ns, ArchPhantom, rob and I

Rules:
- Post a decent core please. Make sure that even if it consists of a pokemon that isn't OU, it's at least a bit viable in OU play. Also please include sets and descriptions of the core so that we know what you'd actually like to be built and it makes it easier for us to do so as well.
- Note that we have the right to decline any core request if we deem that it isn't viable or worthy enough to build around, please keep that in mind.
- We will close after we get 10 requests so that we aren't put under pressure to put out so many teams at once.
- We won't accept editing of teams, etc and will only build teams from scratch.
- Please don't nag anyone of us to build fast, etc. We will try to make teams that are the best and it does take time so please keep patience :)
- Don't post a core if the workshop is closed

Hey nice to see this back up! I'd like to request a team made around the frail core of Diggersby + Honchkrow. Basic premise is Diggersby breaks early and Honch cleans up, along with trapping Gengar for Diggersby. Sets:

Diggersby @ Life Orb
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Earthquake

Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Heat Wave/Superpower/Substitute etc.

Thanks!

aww sweet :]]]
Let me get a request in

Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 24 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Taunt

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch

just standard gardesharp. Bisharp traps stuff like rachi which allows gard to destroy balance teams. I built a decent team around this core but it kept losing to bulk up flame so i would like to see what you guys can do! Thanks in advance :]

I thought of this core while walking down the street when I was thinking of how to build a Hyper Offensive team around offensive Scolipede. The first two things I thought about was how it had difficulty getting past Talonflame and bulky steels. The Pokemon that solved all of those problems is Scarf Magneton.

Scolipede @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Aqua Tail / Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Protect

Offensive Scolipede is a great late game cleaner that outspeeds most of the metagame at +1. It has the ability to hit Dark, Grass and Psychic types for supereffective damage using it's powerful base 120 STAB move in Megahorn. It also has two great coverage moves in Aqua Tail which hits Heatran and bulky grounds. Another great coverage move is Earthquake which hits Heatran x4 supereffectively. Finally Poison Jab hits Fairies and Protect guarantees yuo a +1 speed boost.

Magneton @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Magneton traps bulky steels that prevent Scolipede from doing it's job. Magneton also can revenge kill and come in on a Talonflame's Brave Bird, outspeed and KO with Thunderbolt. Volt Switch for momentum, Flash Cannon for fairies, rock types and ice types and Hidden Power Fire for opposing steel types.

I would like this core to be used on a hyper offensive team because I feel that's what it would be most effective on. Sorry for no pictures and thank you for your time :)

Good. I like this because I think I'm good at developing cores, but poor at filling out a whole team.

Mega Sceptile @ Sceptilite
Overgrow
Timid 4 Df / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Dragon Pulse
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast

Infernape @ Life Orb
Blaze
Naive 252 Atk / 44 SpA / 252 Spe
- Close Combat
- Overheat
- Taunt
- U-Turn

Starmie @ Life Orb
Analytic
Timid 4 Df / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin

Ok, so, inspired by the FWG core thread, I wanted to try a HO team for once which I don't often do. Mega Sceptile is my favorite and is fun to use. He's great on HO Volturn teams, hence my choice of Infernape. The mixed offenses and no SR weakness is my choice over Talonflame, although its good too. Taunt is helpful for prompting switches for U-Turn. Starmie is my Rapid Spin user, and I find the surprise power of Analytic Hydro Pump to be brutally devastating.

Only thing I don't like is the LO recoil on weak U-Turns and Rapid Spin, but otherwise you really need the power. I know that this core has issues with Talonflame, Tornadus-T and Mega Altaria. I'd likes need a good Rock or Steel type in there, and preferably more mon with access to U-Turn and Volt Change like Scizor and Raikou.

Nice to see this project back up and hosted by anal [:

Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Encore

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Aqua Tail
- Ice Fang

These two are a really nice offensive core since mega aero pretty much shreds fragile, offense teams while zam, a really good mon in ou atm, can break those bulky waters and grounds for aero to come clean up. I wasn't too sure on the sets but I suppose you can run pursuit on aero to trap latis for zam and such but then again, zam doesnt really struggle with latis.

I'm hoping for something that isn't HO but I wouldn't mind it. Really looking for bulky offense or balance or even semi stall. Thanks in advance!

This might be on the waiting list but I want to know how to build a team around this core in the current meta.

Ampharos-Mega @ Ampharosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Defog
- Whirlwind

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower

The fairy, steel, and dragon core has been around ever since xy came out but I have for some reason have not been able to build a team around it. Either due to time or incapability to build one. But that is what this workshop is here for.

The main is Fabio or mega ampharos with a great typing of electric and dragon and mold breaker with a max special attack of 165 makes this mega one of my favorites back in xy unfortunately they didn't give him good speed making him one of the slowest megas to date. Just being able to nuke something sound amazing. Volt switch to gain momentum, thunderbolt as main stab, dragon pulse as secondary main stab, and focus blast to hit ferrothron and special defensive heatran harder.

Skarmory to put it in simpler terms walls almost every counter or check to mega ampharos there is not much after that. I made it special defense to take specs or life orb latios dracos better. Brave bird to pick off annoying mons with taunt, roost for longevity, defog for harzard control, and whirlwind for people who wants to get cheeky.

Finally the physical hitter or as the nickname presented ever since fairies came out "The Dragon Killer" azumarill invested choice band it can reach to 654 attack which sounds dandy to me. Either way Aqua jet for priority, Waterfall for stab, Play rough for stab, and Superpower to hit its counters hard.

As a player I am a big fan of balance, being able to fall back on mons when I am in a corner is just reassuring to get back on my feet. I would like something unique and fun that have never been seen before on the ladder. Anyways, I going to leave this up to the professionals. Hopefully this gets approve and remember guys have fun with this and take your time I want it to be your best work.

Glad to see this back, and I hope it goes well. Anyways, could you build a team with a Mega Lopunny + Gengar + Bisharp core? This core originated from 3 good cores (Mega Lop + Gengar, Gengar + Bisharp, Mega Lop + Bisharp), and I thought "Why not put them together," so I did. This core is able to put a ton of offensive pressure on opposing teams, as Mega Lopunny outspeeds most of the metagame, Gengar can be difficult to switch into, and Bisharp can Pursuit trap and use strong priority in the form of Sucker Punch. Gengar and Bisharp also prevent hazard removal, as Bisharp makes use of Defog, while Gengar acts as a spin blocker.

I don't mind waiting since the shop is still closed, but good luck, take your time, and thanks for reviving this. Y'all are the best :)

k I guess I get to be the one to pop this thread's cherry.

komet3

First thing's first, sorry Komet3, cause I totally changed the sets in your core. I don't think 4 attacks Mega Ampharos takes advantage of what it does in the meta well enough. RestTalk puts Ampharos's amazing bulk to use, while still hitting about the same special attack as a Latios. Skarmory has nice synergy with Ampharos, covering Landorus-T, Hippo, and Fairies, but Brave Bird misses out on key coverage against the fairies it's supposed to beat. SO I went with Iron Head instead, and changes SR to Spikes because I thought Spikes would suit the constant volt switching from Ampharos well. Azu is fine, checks certain dragons like Zard X, but it's still a sheky check so you need to watch out for it. These mons all handle the counters to Serperior well, so it was a logical next choice. Azu can check Heatran, Amphy checks Talon and Torn, while Skarm checks Weavile and Torn. I went with Knock Off because with Spikes and constantly switching into Ampharos, Heatran can be worn down pretty fast in case I don't want to switch in Azu on a burn. Keldeo was a goon check to offensive Scizor and secondary check to Weavile, since Skarm can get worn down pretty easily. Finally, I didn't want Skarm to be my only fairy check. I needed something besides Skarm for Gardevoir, which 6-0ed me if it carried Taunt and predicted Roost correctly. Other threats to the team included Mega Lopunny, and certain electric types. Jirachi fit the bill, and could pass wishes to the other members of my team if needed. Plus, who doesn't like having Body Slam against faster teams? Threats to the teams would be Keldeo, which the team doesn't have any true counters to, but plenty of checks, Zard X, which gets up a DD and wins if Azu is weakened, and possibly Manectric if Ampharos is weakened.

Ampharos-Mega @ Ampharosite

oh ok nice

Latias @ Life Orb

Pretty standard core, Latias can get hit by water type moves and can deal with threats such as keldeo and can also provide defog support for charizard.Charizard instead, can deal with fairy types and steel types for latias. It would be nice if someone could build a balanced team around this core. Thanks in advance
Note:If you think that the core is not that good I don't mind latias being replaced with something else, also take your time I don't mind waiting :).

Alright so the core was pretty weak to mostly every physically oriented threat there is in the metagame so Landorus-T was added as the check to them as well as being the Stealth Rocker of the team. Klefki is the fairy-type check to stuff like M-Gardevoir, M-Diancie, etc and acts as the spikes stacker and emergency T-Waver if things go out of hand. M-Sceptile was given Earthquake to hit the likes of AV Raikou, Heatran, and Klefki while the rest of the moves are pretty standard. Starmie's set is pretty standard too and is pretty important for the team as it breaks down the likes of Heatran and checks stuff like Keldeo, Gengar, Hippowdon, and scares out a lot of things that the team hates. Infernape was given a Mixed spread and Gunk Shot which does a ton, almost OHKOes every fairy there is, to lure them in. Mach Punch is an option over U-Turn but it's not very necessary. Finally, AV Raikou was added to deal with stuff like M-Manectric, Thundurus-I and needed another decent switch in to Keldeo so Raikou looked like a good fit, it also added VoltTurn to the team which is pretty nice. Threats would include DD Zard-X and Y, DD Dragonite, Specs Keldeo, M-Manectric+Weavile, SD Talonflame and SD Bisharp all of whom pressure the team to quite an extent after setting up.

Small nitpick. I dont think infernape needs a 29 hp IV because it doesn't reach a number ending in a 9, it reaches 291 hp.

Hey, I'd like to request a team built around the Pangoro+Gengar core, which was posted on the good cores thread by Dr Ciel. I tried to build a team around it, but I haven't been able to come up with anything I liked, so I'd really appreciate a team built around these two. Basically, Pangoro deals with Pursuit trappers which are really annoying to Gengar, while Gengar deals with fast fairies that threaten Pangoro. Icy Wind is pretty good on Gengar to deal with Lando-T and Gliscor, which Pangoro struggles with. Sets can probably be changed around a bit though(e.g. Ice Punch Pangoro+Taunt Gengar, LO Pangoro). I'm hoping for an offensive team because it's my favorite playstyle, but I wouldn't mind balance. Thanks in advance :]

Thanks man! Looks great. I've run Lando-T and Raikou a few times on Sceptile teams before. Gunk Shot on Infernape is a good idea though I'd stick with Blaze if I'm foregoing Mach Punch. Klefki is an interesting defensive choice I hadn't considered. What do you think about replacing something on that set for Reflect or Light Screen? Reflect would really help with priority moves.

I'm wondering if I need a better win condition or something though. I don't have any boosting moves and don't seem to have much for stall. Maybe Nasty Plot Thundurus would be better than AV Raikou or Klefki? Or Thundurus could use Prankster T-Wave and Taunt? Or maybe even Defiant Thundurus if I'm hazard stacking?

k I guess I get to be the one to pop this thread's cherry.

Don't blame me if Mega Latios does absolutely nothing in matches with this team. It's 100% garbage.

DD Mega Latios is completely outclassed in every way by Mega Altaria and Mega Charizard X. There is nothing that it does better than those two mons except be a bit faster I guess. I went with 192 Speed because no Latios should ever lose to a Garchomp, that's just inhumane. The rest goes in HP for some added bulk. Changed Scarf Ttar's coverage move to Ice Punch because Lando-t is a pain to the core. Excadrill is SD because the only way Lati is sweeping is if all its checks are at 30% or below, so I need some power on the team. Manaphy was a cool option for luring Ferrothorn and Rotom-W, since both those mons shit on the core as is. Tangrowth works as an Azu check and is the primary Keldeo check as well due to Latios not being a good one anymore since if it gets burnt it's even more useless than normal. Finally, Heatran checks Clefable and Scizor, which are major threats to the team without it. It also provides SR, which I always seem to forget to use until the last second. Threats to the team are probably belly Azu, Lopunny, and Superpower Torn-T. You will find 90% of this team's strengths lie in the Manaphy Tangrowth core, with Lati doing next to nothing. If you want to make this team better, go for bulky dd altaria>mega Lati or Mega Mane>Lati. Either one would be miles better than what you have now. Still, it's what you wanted, and it functions decently as a team. Enjoy!
