Anyway I will admit that I was an avid fan of the show. However, as I got older, I really realized how "kiddy" the show was meant to be.
This didn't stop me though, I began to really enjoy some episodes (Aftershock, Haunted, etc.) as my favorites did not have overly corny comical relief, but focused more on a character, his or her emotions/motives.
For example, the Aftershock episodes interested me a lot as we got a second dose of Slade's cunning ability to pick on someone's vunerablilities (Robin's was his friends) and use it as a way to make someone come to his side, as evident with Terra. We also see how Slade, while evil, is true to his word in helping Terra develop her powers, but also how cruel he can be when someone disobeys him (albeit while with Robin he threatened his friends lives, he gave him a second chance IIRC. With Terra, he was infuriated and showed how much he can control someone and force them to live up to their word).
The fight scenes were pretty good too and the musical score was downright awesome (the fight between the Titans and the Plasmus-Cinderblock-Overload monster was my favorite).
