This was really tough deciding which of mine NOT to vote for.

Winners!
:swsh/scream-tail:
Name: Scream Tail
Type: Fairy/Dark
Stats: 115/65/99/65/115/111
Abilities: Protosynthesis
New / Changed Moves: Knock Off, Nasty Plot, Snarl, Taunt, U-Turn
Removed Moves:
Justification: I think the concept of a fast bulky support mon is very interesting, but vanilla Scream Tail is... a little less than ideal? The Dark typing and addition of Knock Off and U-Turn give it a little more offensive utility with a mildly useful Prankster immunity.
:sv/brute-bonnet:
Name: Brute Bonnet
Type:
Poison.png
Ghost.png

Stats
: 111 HP / 127 Atk / 89 Def (-10) / 79 SpA / 99 SpD / 65 Spe (+10) | BST: 570
Abilities: Protosynthesis
New / Changed Moves: Toxic, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Poison Fang, Fire Fang, Poltergeist, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Raging Fury, Temper Flare, Earthquake
Removed Moves: Bullet Seed, Seed Bomb, Lash Out, Close Combat, Grassy Terrain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Grass Knot, Synthesis
Justification: Brute Bonnet is a poisonous extinct mushroom. It's Fire type moves relay to it's fiery temper and aren't that major a conflicy now that its not Grass typed. 111/89/99 bulk is solid, and can allow Bonnet to check a variety of threats especially with it's menacing Poison Ghost defensive prowess.
:sv/slither wing:
Pokémon: Slither Wing
Stats: 97 / 139 / 121 / 69 / 81 / 63 (+12/+4/+42/-16/-24/-18)
Ability: Protosynthesis
Typing: Bug/Fighting
Move Changes:
+ Air Slash, Ancient Power, Bulldoze, Earth Power, Fell Stinger, Fiery Dance, Final Gambit, Focus Blast, Gyro Ball, Iron Head, Pin Missile, Pounce, Quiver Dance, Rock Blast, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Roost, Stone Edge, Struggle Bug
-Acrobatics, High Horsepower
Description: Oh hello Buzzwole! The Ultra Beasts don't exist in this game, so making Slither Wing more similar to last gen's OU staple should work well for it. The massive increase to its Physical bulk should allow it to still be up to par with a lot of the other physical attackers, while still having a useable Special bulk. Rock and Steel moves for coverage is a nice benefit, and Fell Stinger is here as a niche option for it to run, as is the potential of special Quiver Dance sets.

:sv/iron-jugulis:
Pokémon: Iron Jugulis
Type: Dark / Flying
Ability: Quark Drive
Stats: 94 / 80 / 82 / 122 / 80 / 112
New Moves: + Aeroblast, Roost, Defog, Electro Shot
Justification: Aeroblast is a better general-purpose Flying STAB for Jugulis that makes it a little more consistent, but Electro Shot is the real draw here, turning it into a horrific rain sweeper with Hurricane and a slight bump to Speed.

:sv/iron-leaves:
Pokémon: Iron Leaves
Type: Grass / Psychic
Ability: Quark Drive
Stats: 90 / 130 / 88 / 70 / 108 / 104
New Moves: + Bitter Blade, Psychic, Psycho Cut, Psyblade (no longer has power boosted on Electric Terrain; if no Terrain is active, sets Electric Terrain)
Justification: Psyblade is no longer nuclear under Electric Terrain, but as compensation lets Iron Leaves serve as incredible team support for other future Paradoxes without the need to burn your Dynamax as well as making itself significantly stronger by activating Quark Drive. Bitter Blade is also a nice pickup, although Leaves isn't exactly wanting for coverage.
:sv/iron thorns:
Name: Iron Thorns
Type:

Electric.png

Stats: 100 / 80 (-54) / 100 (-10) / 124 (+54) / 84 / 82 (+10)
Abilities: Quark Drive
New / Changed Moves: Flamethrower, Rising Voltage
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification: They tried to make Iron Thorns stand out from Tyranitar as best they could by making it faster and giving stuff like Swords Dance and Spikes, but nothing short of giving it Shift Gear (which someone already did) is gonna save this thing in its current state, so here's an overhaul. Iron Thorns is a super dangerous special breaker, with all the coverage it could dream of in Ice Beam, Focus Blast, Earth Power, and Fire Blast, while having good STABs in Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, and Meteor Beam. Rising Voltage also makes Iron Thorns as very scary Dynamax abuser, being able to activate Quark Drive for itself and just melt stuff with Rising Voltages, though you do either have to run very little SpA investment to boost your Speed or deal with your meh 82 Speed tier and/or slot in Dragon Dance over a coverage more you probably wanted.

Let's discuss the winners while we get the next slate ready, and it promises to be a fun one!

:iron leaves:
Psyblade (no longer has power boosted on Electric Terrain; if no Terrain is active, sets Electric Terrain)
Future Paradox Pokemon just got a lot scarier. Leaves remaining Grass/Psychic should allow it to be less of a threat on its own, but it can still be a great enabler for its allies.

(Admittedly because this is TeraMax it is easy enough for a Dynamax Pokemon to set this or another terrain, but still. Also, does that mean Terrain Extender Iron Leaves is going to be a gimmick?)

Brief thoughts on the others, might go more into depth later.

:Scream Tail: Still very passive, but the type change and a couple new tools in its kit should make it more interesting. Not really sure if it is enough to make it OU-ready, but it certainly should be better than its RU counterpart.

:Brute Bonnet: This is amazing, this manages to do what I couldn't with my sub. This typing is really fun to see on a Physical attacker, and it is very fun that now it has a 4x resist to Bug instead of a 4x weakness. Just beware of opposing Knock Off.

:Slither Wing: My sub, didn't think it would win considering pretty much everyone went for "physically bulky Bug/Fighting type". But I hope you all enjoy the long list of new moves in its toolkit.

:Iron Thorns: I do really like this idea as a Special Attacker, I do wonder how well it will do considering it is still fairly slow and has no real way of boosting its Special Attack besides Booster Energy (I will check back later to see if I am mistaken in this). Also being the same type with that 4x weakness to Ground. Probably a good Pokemon with webs support or as a Tera abuser, but I could be underappreciating its potential.

:Iron Jugulis: I mentioned this in the Discord, but this seems really interesting as a Dynamax user and abuser. The combination of Hydro Pump's Max Geyser, paired with Hurricane and Electro Shot as two strong Max moves to also boost its stats could make this very strong, plus setting itself up to have rain for Electro Shot. While likely not overpowered (due to the limited turns of rain, or the fact holding a Wishing Stone makes you susceptible to rocks) Jugulis could now be upgraded to a serious threat.

Overall, a lot of good subs from everyone, and while I may be slightly disappointed that some of my favourites didn't win we still got some solid winners across the board.

Slate 3: Gigantamax Part 2

:ss/grimmsnarl::ss/drednaw::ss/orbeetle::ss/kingler::ss/coalossal:

:Grimmsnarl:
- Can add up to 45 more points to BST, with 25 per stat maximum in any single stat.
- Can add up to 2 new moves
- False Surrender can be adjusted.

:Drednaw:
- Can add up to 45 more points to BST, with 20 per stat maximum in any single stat.
- Can add up to 3 new moves.

:Orbeetle:
- Can add up to 45 more points to BST, with 30 per stat maximum in any single stat.
- Can add up to 3 new moves.

:Coalossal:

- Can add up to 2 new moves.

Have fun with the new slate!

:Kingler-gmax:
Pokémon: Kingler
Stats: 75 / 135 / 135 / 30 / 70 / 80 [BST 525] (+20/+5/+20/-20/+20/+5)
Abilities: Tough Claws / Shell Armor / Sheer Force
G-Max Ability: Anger Shell
Typing: Water
Move Changes:
+ Gigaton Hammer, Ice Hammer, Wood Hammer
Description: HAMMER! Stats were easy enough, this thing had 55 HP and 50 Special Defense, so this killer crab would have struggled with special hits. The new moves fit with the "Hammer" theme of its signature move, and considering it has Hammer Arm it felt fair to give it other strong Hammer moves. It did not have a physical ice move, so it likes the coverage, and the passive healing from Max Overgrowth should be nice for it as well. Finally, a strong Steel type move in Gigaton to boost its defense when G-Maxed.

:Drednaw-gmax:
Pokémon: Drednaw
Stats: 100 / 125 / 100 / 50 / 75 / 75 [BST 525] (+10/+10/+10/+2/+7/+1)
Abilities: Strong Jaw / Sand Force / Swift Swim
G-Max Ability: Weak Armor
Typing:
Water/Steel
Move Changes:

+ Fire Fang, Iron Head, Superpower
Description: Drednaw lost Superpower between Gen 8 and Gen 9 for... some reason. It will appreciate the Fighting coverage especially as a Max Knuckle. Water/Steel is a unique type thanks to no Empoleon, and that should give this terrorizing turtle some more utility. New STAB in Iron Head is good to help it increase its Defense, and Fire Fang is here to have a Strong Jaw-boosted move that does more damage to walls such as Corviknight or Ferrothorn. Increase to its Speed from Weak Armor should be interesting, especially now that it won't have Shell Smash in its G-Max kit.

:Coalossal-gmax:
Pokémon: Coalossal
Stats: 125 / 80 / 125 / 100 / 100 / 20 [BST 550] (+15/+0/+5/+20/+10/-10)
Abilities: Steam Engine / Flame Body / Flash Fire
G-Max Ability: Earth Eater
Typing: Rock
Move Changes:
+ Sludge Bomb
Signature Move: Tar Shot: Rock, Special, 80 BP, 100% accuracy, 16 BP. 30% chance to burn the target. If the opponent has an ability that would make it resist/immune to Fire-type moves or being burned (Flash Fire, Thermal Exchange, Water Bubble, etc.) negates the ability.
Signature Ability: Steam Engine: This Pokemon cannot be burned, and takes half damage from Fire- and Water-type moves. When this Pokemon is hit by a Fire or Water type move, sets Sun for five turns.
Description: Rock/Fire is not a great type, and while pure Rock isn't much better it is impossible for it to have 4x weaknesses. if only its max move was Fire type Tar Shot is a Scald clone with a bit more flare for the dramatic, making Pokemon that would usually feel safe in front of Fire suddenly a lot more afraid of it. Sludge Bomb is a nice way for it to boost its Special Attack.

:Orbeetle-gmax:
Pokémon: Orbeetle
Stats: 90 / 45 / 100 / 100 / 125 / 90 [BST 550] (+30/+0/-10/+20/+5/+0)
Abilities: Swarm / Frisk / Tinted Lens
G-Max Ability: Levitate
Typing: Steel
/Psychic
Move Changes:
+ Flash Cannon, Hurricane, Sludge Wave
Description: Fast but bulky alien bug. New Steel typing is a lot better than the previous Bug, and so it being a Levitating UFO is a lot more fitting. New Max moves help boost its Special Attack and Speed, as well as its Defense, with a new STAB option.

:Grimmsnarl-gmax:
Pokémon: Grimmsnarl
Stats: 100 / 135 / 80 / 75 / 90 / 75 [BST 555] (+5/+15/+15/-20/+15/+15)
Abilities: Prankster / Frisk / Intimidate
G-Max Ability:
Tangling Hair
Typing: Dark/Fairy
Move Changes:
+ Iron Head, Seed Bomb
Signature Move: False Surrender: Dark, Physical, 70 BP, 16 BP. If the user and the target were both on the field last turn, this attack will be a guaranteed critical hit.
Description: False Surrender is now a Dark type Flower Trick. Not critting if the opponent switches out is I think an interesting way to run it that should make the move unique. New stats gives it a better bulk at the cost of its Special Attack (which thanks to its Physical signature it probably won't be using) and new moves help give necessary coverage that help bulk and longevity.

Pokémon: Grimmsnarl
Stats: 115/120/90/95/75/60 (555)
Abilities: Prankster / Sticky Hold | Pickpocket
G-Max Ability: Tangling Hair
Typing: Dark/Fairy
Move Changes: +Power Whip, Knock Off
Description: Dark/Fairy is a typing with a (relatively) uncommon 4x Dark resistance, which when combined with Sticky Hold, can make non-Dynamax Grimmsnarl a physically defensive Knock Off absorber in cases where neither Prankster support sets or Dynamax variants are desired. In terms of actual Dynamax tools, Grimmsnarl regains Power Whip to become Max Overgrowth, setting Grassy Terrain to bolster its G-Max Snooze-summoned Reflect-boosted bulk with passive recovery. Knock Off is the last addition here, and should need no introduction - although False Surrender is definitely the better option for a Dark STAB on G-Max sets due to Max Darkness being less useful for a physically offensive mon like this.

:ss/Orbeetle-gmax:
Pokémon: Orbeetle
Stats: 90 / 25 / 110 / 90 / 120 / 115 [BST 550] (+30/-20 /-0/+10/+0/+25)
Abilities: Swarm / Frisk / Psychic Surge
G-Max Ability:
Magic Guard
Typing: Bug / Psychic
Move Changes:
+ Focus Blast, Heat Wave, Encore
Description: Bug Psychic is not a good typing in the meta, but just like bug fire with Centiskorch it has its advantages. Particularly, it has a decent matchup against Great Tusk's stabs, but dislikes knock off. Psychic Surge allows Orbeez to help support its team as a terrain setter, as well as boosting its own psychic attacks as well. Particularly, its stats got buffed to be faster, bulkier and a bit stronger to take advantage of Psurge. Moves include coverage and Encore that can provide support for its team or help itself setup.

:ss/Drednaw-gmax:
Name: Drednaw
Stats: 90 HP / 130 Atk (+15) / 100 Def (+10) / 48 SpA / 88 SpD (+20) / 74 Spe | BST: 530
Abilities: Sturdy / Swift Swim | HA: Solid Rock
G-Max Ability
: Sand Force
New / Changed Moves
: Ice Spinner, Brick Break, Wave Crash
Justification: Wanted to play a bit more over the fact that Drednaw's water moves don't setup rain, effectively doubling down on its potential on sand. Didn't want to go the Sand Rush routeas to not compete with Sandaconda so I just gave it power through Sand Force.

:ss/grimmsnarl-gmax:
Name: Grimmsnarl
Type: Dark / Fairy
Stats: 105 (+10) / 120 / 65 / 90 / 90 (+15) / 80 (+20) (535 BST)
Abilities: Prankster / Frisk / Pickpocket (H)
New Moves: Pain Split, Knock Off
G-Max Ability: Tangling Hair
Justification: My main issue with Grimm is that it is just so, so slow. Even with a thunder wave most mons are able to outspeed it. Now, thanks to a buff to its speed, Grimm can cripple its opponents throughout a match to finish them off with its Gmax form. Added some bulk in order for it to handle pult better, as well as giving it very useful moves in pain spit and the coveted Knock Off.

:sv/grimmsnarl-gmax:
Name: Grimmsnarl
Type: Dark / Fairy
Stats: 95 / 120 / 65 / 95 / 75 / 60 (510 BST)
Abilities: Prankster / Tangling Hair / Pickpocket (H) | Fur Coat
New Moves: Moonlight, False Surrender (now has double power if target has any lowered stats)
Justification: Grimmsnarl is a tough sell because we just got a new defensive Dark / Fairy in Scream Tail, but here's my best attempt. It can continue to do its normal Prankster shit, now with Moonlight for longevity, but it also has Tangling Hair or Spirit Break (or even Webs, if you run that) and False Surrender to become extremely deadly under the right circumstances. Fur Coat as a Gigantamax plus G-Max Snooze setting Reflect makes it incredibly difficult to break on the physical side even with untouched stats, should you choose to run it that way.

:sv/kingler-gmax:
Name: Kingler
Type: Water / Steel
Stats: 75 / 130 / 125 / 50 / 50 / 85 (515 BST)
Abilities: Hyper Cutter / Tough Claws / Sheer Force (H) | Anger Shell
New Moves: Meteor Mash, Close Combat
Justification: Steel-type gives Kingler some key resistances, letting it switch in more easily and also proc Anger Shell without as much risk of dying miserably as a Gigantamax. Meteor Mash is a potent Sheer Force-boosted STAB, while Close Combat gives it Fighting coverage that doesn't blow chunks. A small bump to bulk and Speed makes its Anger Shell role more doable, though it still needs to avoid special-side hits.

:sv/drednaw-gmax:
Name: Drednaw
Type: Water / Ground
Stats: 100 / 125 / 100 / 48 / 78 / 74 (525 BST)
Abilities: Strong Jaw / Sturdy / Swift Swim (H) | Sap Sipper
New Moves: Rapid Spin, Flip Turn
Justification: Water / Ground is far superior to Water / Rock, even as it incurs comparisons to the tier's many other Grounds. Drednaw winds up a bit like Swampert, with worse special stats in exchange for Rapid Spin and better Speed. As a Gigantamax, obviously the merits of a Sap Sipper Water / Ground need not be stated, and G-Max Stonesurge makes it fairly easy to keep up Stealth Rock.

:sv/coalossal-gmax:
Name: Coalossal
Type: Rock / Fire
Stats: 125 / 70 / 130 / 90 / 110 / 30 (550 BST)
Abilities: Steam Engine / Flame Body / Flash Fire (H) | Earth Eater
New Moves: Tar Shot (identical effect + burns the target)
Justification: Coalossal goes all-in on bulk here, with its raw numbers comparing to Cresselia, in spite of its atrocious typing. Tar Shot is a real pain, too, being a 100% accurate burn move with some other annoying riders that make it pretty difficult to switch in on. When it Gigantamaxes, it's even bulkier and can potentially turn the tables on Ground-types, though the Water weakness is still rough.

:sv/orbeetle-gmax:
Name: Orbeetle
Type: Bug / Psychic
Stats: 70 / 45 / 115 / 110 / 120 / 90 (550 BST)
Abilities: Protean / Frisk / Compound Eyes (H) | Tinted Lens
New Moves: Thunder, Moonblast, Focus Blast
Justification: Orbeetle winds up in a bit of a weird spot, being very bulky but also now having a decent amount of damage output, particularly thanks to its new Protean letting it get out of its detrimental Bug / Psychic typing. Its new moves offer some potent coverage options. Tinted Lens makes its Gigantamax pretty tough to switch in on, and if you time it right you can even end up with a Gigantamax with a typing from Protean - those stats are a lot scarier when attached to something spamming STAB Max Starfall, for example.

:sv/coalossal-gmax:
Name: Coalossal
Type: Rock / Fire
Stats: 120 / 70 / 130 / 95 / 100 / 40 (550 BST)
Abilities: Steam Engine / Flame Body / Flash Fire (H) | Earth Eater
Steam Engine now functions as a water type equivalent of Motor Drive

New Moves: Tar Shot | Special | 80 BP | 100 Acc | 15pp (Max 24) | It's secondary effects are still the same.
Justification: Finally I can make the Coalossal that I was hoping for. One that made it's typing workable with its bulk. One that actually has more of a reason to use Tar Shot. It can also now be more of a pivot thanks to Steam Engine and Earth Eater.

:Orbeetle-gmax:
Pokémon: Orbeetle
Stats: 80(+20)/45/110/105(+25)/105(-15)/105(+15)
Abilities: Swarm / Frisk / Dazzling (HA)
G-Max Ability: Sap Sipper
Typing: Ground
/Psychic
Move Changes: Earth Power, Ice Beam, Sludge Wave -Sticky Web
Description:
gravity actually having a point moment. Sap sipper is the ability because crop circles. Sap sipper is also the ability because it blocks gmax grass which will inhibit you from spamming gravity ground moves most of the time. This mon also happens to be good vs a few dynamax mons I had choice words for

Closing subs tonight (yes it got an extra day) here are mine in the meantime.

Abilities: Liquid Ooze / Hyper Cutter | HA: Sheer Force
G-Max Ability: Anger Shell
New / Changed Moves: Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Toxic Spikes
Justification: Kingler is a strong wallbreaker with access to a good dual STAB in Poison and Water, with access to good coverage

:sv/drednaw-gmax:
Name: Drednaw
Type:

Rock.png

Stats
: 100 HP (+10) / 120 Atk (+5) / 100 Def (+10) / 48 SpA / 88 SpD (+20) / 74 Spe | BST: 530
Abilities: Sturdy / Swift Swim | HA: Shell Armor
G-Max Ability: Solid Rock
New / Changed Moves: Stone Axe, Brick Break, Wave Crash
Justification: Drednaw can serve as either a strong set up sweeper. Brick Break is specifically for Attack boosting in it's G-Max mode, while it's non G-Max utility is increased with Stone Axe and it's attack power is greatly maximixed with Wave Crash under it's belt, jumping from 80 BP to 120 BP is a massive leap. Sturdy helps Jon Rain sets have success as a sweeper and possibly as a lead as well.

Abilities: Prankster / Hustle / Pickpocket
G-Max Ability: Misty Surge
New / Changed Moves: Pain Split, Will-O-Wisp
Removed Moves: N/A
Justification: funny megamax reference. Grimmsnarl becomes a strong breaker with Hustle, letting it abuse False Surrender's perfect accuracy to great effec. Will-O-Wisp and Pain Split add some nice utility to Prankster Grimmsnarl, who's already mildly interesting as a pivot with Parting Shot. Misty Surge in its GMax form trades the power you'd get from regular Dynamax + Hustle for the ability to take on status without needing to Max Starfall first, forcing you to have to take it out directly which obviously gets harder with GMax HP boost and Grimm's increased bulk.

Time to close subs!
PQRDG I think Kingler's Attack stat is way too high, esp when stuff like Tough Claws and Sheer Force are taken into account. Going to need that stat lowered!

It's voting time!

Voting Guidelines

You vote for your top 5 submissions (3 at minimum), unless not applicable, in order from most favourite to least favourite. The top two are weighted (3 and 2 points respectively). You have a maximum of three self votes and only one can be weighted, but it can occupy the top slot. (unless it's your only sub)

Voting will last for 48 Hours. May the best submitter win!
