Necrozma-DW is a staple on Trick Room teams, as it is a reliable setter with nuclear power. Meteor Beam allows Necrozma-DW to quickly power up while still dealing solid damage to neutral targets like Arceus formes, Landorus-T, and Giratina. Tera Ground boosts Earth Power, allowing Necrozma to drop Magearna and Zamazenta-C after a boost, whereas Tera Fairy grants Fairy-type coverage to hit Pokemon like Arceus-Dark, Urshifu-S, and Chien-Pao, while also granting it a resist to Sucker Punch from the afformentioned Chien-Pao and Urshifu-S. Necrozma-DW fits well alongside other Trick Room abuser Ursaluna, as Ursaluna can destroy Pokemon like Arceus-Dark and Chi-Yu which would otherwise give it trouble, and Necrozma-DW can take care of Pokemon like Landorus-T and Giratina which otherwise trouble Ursaluna. Necrozma-DW can have issues with Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Chien-Pao preventing it from successfully getting up Trick Room, so alternative setters like Magearna which can threaten these foes are excellent teammates.
