Refrigerate Mega Abomasnow is an excellent revenge killer that differentiates itself from other -ate Speed users with its resistance to Thousand Arrows, immunity to Spore, and low Speed stat that allows it to underspeed many of the format's slow pivots. Fake Out and Extreme Speed form a potent combination that allows Mega Abomasnow to threaten chip against sweepers lacking King's Shield and revenge weakened foes with its strong priority STAB attacks. Fake Out on its own is also able to chip opposing sweepers lacking King's Shield, letting Mega Abomasnow hard switch into unboosted sweepers on a prediction and either chip them or force them out. Boomburst is an incredibly powerful STAB move that with an Icicle Plate OHKOes opposing Giratina and allows Mega Abomasnow to force non-Wonder Guard users out the majority of the time if healthy. Stealth Rock allows Mega Abomasnow to support its team through entry hazard setting, capitalizing on Mega Abomasnow's ability to force out offensive threats; Parting Shot and Gastro Acid are good alternative options, as the former helps to retain momentum against even slow pivot Wonder Guard users like Mega Audino and Primal Kyogre, while the latter forces most opposing Wonder Guard users to switch due to the threat of Boomburst and Extreme Speed. Since Boomburst already OHKOes Giratina without any investment, Abomasnow can throw its EVs into HP and Attack. A Brave nature and 0 Speed IVs minimizes Mega Abomasnow's Speed, giving it the ability to underspeed slow pivots like Wonder Guard Mega Audino and Chansey.

Mega Abomasnow works best on teams that appreciate its ability to revenge kill non-Wonder Guard sweepers, such as offense, bulky offense, balance, and dual Mega Mewtwo X teams. In particular, it works well with the ubiquitous Shell Smash Primal Groudon + Prankster Giratina + Wonder Guard Xerneas core, as even Prankster Giratina proves to be insufficient counterplay to opposing Mold Breaker Primal Groudon on its own. Offensive pressure from Primal Groudon helps retain momentum against teams that rely on Wonder Guard Xerneas to come in on Mega Abomasnow, especially if Mega Abomasnow runs Parting Shot; Prankster Giratina, especially variants running Will-O-Wisp, can switch in on healthy Huge Power users using a Fighting-, Fire-, Poison-, or Steel-type attack and force them out with either Encore or the threat of a burn. Wonder Guard Xerneas can pass Substitutes to Mega Abomasnow, which allows Mega Abomasnow to set Stealth Rock or threaten opposing switch-ins with Gastro Acid. Mold Breaker users, in particular slower ones like Mega Tyranitar, Choice item Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Latios, also appreciate Mega Abomasnow's ability to revenge kill faster threats. On faster offensive teams, Imposter Chansey is a good partner, as Mega Abomasnow struggles to deal with King's Shield sweepers; in return, Mega Abomasnow can threaten Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, two Pokemon Imposter Chansey can't prevent from setting up easily. Offensive Shadow Tag users, in particular Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Latios, are good partners for Parting Shot Mega Abomasnow due to being able to remove Wonder Guard users not running Shed Shell, such as Xerneas and Safety Goggles Primal Kyogre. Mega Abomasnow can work well on dual Mega Mewtwo X teams due to being a fairly reliable lone revenge killer, though it faces stiff competition from other -ate users such as Kyurem-B and Mega Rayquaza. Lastly, defensive Wonder Guard users are extremely valuable for Mega Abomasnow, as they can provide Defog, Aromatherapy, and Wish support, helping for removing entry hazards, protecting against Dark Void Mold Breaker sweepers, and providing for Mega Abomasnow's longevity respectively, while also disrupting Substitute + Baton Pass Wonder Guard users coming in and trying to set up with Whirlwind.

Other Options
=============

Mega Abomasnow can opt for V-Create instead of Boomburst to threaten Magic Bounce Steel-types like Registeel, as well as OHKO Wonder Guard Mega Scizor and Escavalier. However, forgoing Boomburst means Mega Abomasnow has a much more difficult time checking Shell Smash Mold Breaker Primal Groudon running King's Shield, and V-Create's main targets in Magic Bounce Steel-types are relatively uncommon. Sacred Fire is an alternative option which can provide utility with burns, but is usually not worth it as it fails to OHKO Mega Scizor or 2HKO Mega Steelix. Pursuit can also be used over Boomburst to trap opposing Mega Gengar, weakened Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Latios after a Shell Smash; however, it has the high opportunity cost of not being able to be run with Boomburst and a support move. Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web are options over Stealth Rock, as Mega Abomasnow adequately threatens Flying-types, and its teammates appreciate the chip offered by poison from Toxic Spikes and the Speed drop from Sticky Web. The consistent damage of Stealth Rock is generally more useful, however. Baton Pass can work over Parting Shot, as it allows Mega Abomasnow to pass Substitutes it received from a teammate to another offensive teammate while still offering universal pivoting. Taunt can be used on the switch to disable Wonder Guard switch-ins running four status moves. Spore is another option that also disables them by putting them to sleep, and the opponent cannot put Mega Abomasnow to sleep with a well-timed Magic Bounce switch-in. Recover is a fringe option to keep Mega Abomasnow healthy, though the opportunity cost of not running a support move is high. Running coverage in the last one or two moveslots is an option, with possible options being Petal Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Gunk Shot, Knock Off, Thousand Arrows, Close Combat, Low Kick, and Play Rough. If running Freeze-Dry, an alternative spread of 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpA with a Brave nature could be used to force recovery from physically defensive Wonder Guard Primal Kyogre, but the added bulk from investing in HP is generally more worthwhile. Leftovers is a niche option over Icicle Plate, as it increases Mega Abomasnow's longevity throughout the game; however, forgoing Icicle Plate means Mega Abomasnow misses out on the OHKO against Giratina with Boomburst.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Wonder Guard Users**: The vast majority of Wonder Guard users can switch in on Mega Abomasnow and render its Refrigerate-boosted attacks null. In particular, offensive Wonder Guard users are problematic, as they can't be revenge killed by Mega Abomasnow and, in a good matchup, can snowball through teams which have Mega Abomasnow as the sole setup check.

**Offensive Shadow Tag Users**: Offensive Shadow Tag users, especially bulky Mega Mewtwo X, can come in on Mega Abomasnow on a resisted move or Fake Out and OHKO it. In particular, Mega Mewtwo X with significant bulk investment and Primal Groudon are bulky enough to usually survive Fake Out into Extreme Speed and can OHKO Mega Abomasnow with Drain Punch or V-Create, respectively. However, most pivoting support is useless for offensive Shadow Tag users aiming to remove Mega Abomasnow due to its abysmal speed, and nearly all Shadow Tag users are vulnerable to getting KOed by Boomburst into Extreme Speed.

**Huge Power Mega Gyarados**: Despite Mega Abomasnow investing in HP to increase its bulk, Huge Power-boosted Pursuits are problematic for it. In particular, Mega Gyarados is an issue, as it can come in on Fake Out, Extreme Speed, or Boomburst safely if healthy.

**Magic Bounce Steel-types**: Magic Bounce Steel-types, such as Registeel and Mega Steelix, can prevent specific Mega Abomasnow sets from being able to support its team. However, Registeel can be threatened with V-Create or Sacred Fire, and Mega Steelix is blown past by Boomburst sets.

Refrigerate Mega Abomasnow is an excellent revenge killer that differentiates itself from other -Ate Speed users with a its resistance to Thousand Arrows, an immunity to Spore, and extremely low Speed stat that allows it to underspeed underspeed is an awkward word here but i think it's the main way to describe this many of the format's slow pivots. that allows it to prevent most slow pivoting from being safe when it is on the field. Fake Out + and Extreme Speed is form a potent combination that allows Mega Abomasnow to threaten chip against sweepers lacking King's Shield and revenge weakened foes, taking advantage of Refrigerate to damage the vast majority of sweepers for unresisted damage. with its strong priority STAB attacks. Fake Out on its own is also able to sustain chip against opposing sweepers lacking King's Shield, letting it Mega Abomasnow hard switch into sweepers that overwhelm the user's team in the long run. Boomburst is an incredibly powerful STAB move that OHKOes opposing Giratina with an Icicle Plate, and due to dealing at least neutral damage against nearly all threats opposing Wonder Guard users are usually effectively forced in with the move.this is worded pretty awkwardly try and find a better way to phrase it Stealth Rock is a great option to support Mega Abomasnow's team, and can be used without much difficulty due to Mega Abomasnow's ability to force out most offensive threats gives Abomasnow access to hazard setting, capitalizing on Mega Abomasnow's ability to force out offensive threatsmaybe something like this i'm not 100% sold on my wording yet; Parting Shot and Gastro Acid are good alternative options, as the former helps to retain momentum against even slow pivot Wonder Guard users like Mega Audino and Primal Kyogre, and while the latter forces most opposing Wonder Guard users to switch due to the threat of being hit with a Boomburst or Extreme Speed after Wonder Guard is removed self explanatory. Mega Abomasnow prefers running HP and Attack investment Max Attack investment allows Abomasnow to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Extreme Speed while max HP investment allowing allows it to switch into Mold Breaker users, especially Primal Groudon, more easily. A Brave nature and 0 Speed IVs minimizes Mega Abomasnow's Speed, allowing it to move after slow Wonder Guard pivots such as Mega Audino and Chansey, threatening to attack after the opposing pivot uses Baton Pass or Parting Shot. giving it the ability to pivot slower than Wonder Guard Mega Audino and Chansey.

Mega Abomasnow works best on teams that appreciate its ability to revenge kill Mold Breaker users, in particular on faster offense, dual Mega Mewtwo X teams, bulky offense, and balance. In particular it works well on with the ubiquitous Shell Smash Primal Groudon + Prankster Giratina + Wonder Guard Xerneas core, as even Prankster Giratina proves to be insufficient counterplay to opposing Mold Breaker Primal Groudon on its own. These partners can all support Mega Abomasnow. Offensive pressure from Primal Groudon can usually help to helps retain momentum against teams that rely on Wonder Guard Xerneas to come in on Mega Abomasnow, especially if Mega Abomasnow runs Parting Shot; Prankster Giratina can come in on helps mitigate the threat of idk this wording is still a bit off but if you can think of something better use that instead Wonder Guard Shell Smash sweepers that are otherwise problematic, such as Xerneas, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Lucario, though if Xerneas or Mega Gardevoir running Moonblast is encountered Giratina will need to play mind games to come in safely moves like Moonblast that heavily damage Giratina can make it hard to switch in. Wonder Guard Xerneas can pass Substitutes to Mega Abomasnow, which allows for Mega Abomasnow to set Stealth Rock or threaten opposing switch-ins with Gastro Acid. Other physical Mold Breaker users, such as Mega Tyranitar, Mega Mewtwo X, Choice Band Mega Rayquaza, and Wonder Guard Gyarados, also appreciate Mega Abomasnow's ability to revenge kill faster threats. Special Mold Breaker users, such as Mega Gengar, Mega Diancie, Choice Specs Mega Rayquaza, Mega Latios, and Arceus, also appreciate Mega Abomasnow's presence, though generally to a lesser degree as special Mold Breaker users are relatively faster. previous two sentences are a bit awkward since you shift from phys to spec, could you condense these two into one sentence? On faster offenses Imposter Chansey is a good partner, as Mega Abomasnow struggles to deal with King's Shield sweepers, especially when it's not healthy; in return Mega Abomasnow can threaten Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Diancie, two Pokemon Imposter Chansey can't prevent from setting up easily. Offensive Shadow Tag users, in particular Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Latios, are also good partners, especially for Parting Shot Mega Abomasnow, due to being able to remove Wonder Guard users not running Shed Shell, such as Xerneas and Safety Goggles Primal Kyogre. Mega Abomasnow can work well on dual Mega Mewtwo X due to being a fairly reliable lone revenge killer, though it faces stiff competition from other -ate users, such as Kyurem-B and Mega Rayquaza. Lastly, defensive Wonder Guard users are extremely valuable for Mega Abomasnow, as they can provide Defog, Aromatherapy, and Wish support, helping for hazards, against Dark Void Mold Breaker sweepers, and for Mega Abomasnow's longevity respectively, while also potentially disrupting Substitute + Baton Pass Wonder Guard users coming in and trying to set up with Whirlwind.

Recover could be used to keep Mega Abomasnow healthy, though running it means forgoing a support move is necessary. for stuff like this, it's obvious that running one of these moves means giving up the 4th support slot. idk if changing these makes grammar weird but double check this and fix stuff up if that happens Running coverage in the last one or two moveslots is an option, with other possible options (on top of Sacred Fire) being Petal Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Gunk Shot, Knock Off, Thousand Arrows, Close Combat, Low Kick, and Play Rough, though running coverage severely reduces Mega Abomasnow's utility in a matchup where it doesn't threaten all opposing Wonder Guard users. Shed Shell and Leftovers are niche options over Icicle Plate, as the former allows Mega Abomasnow to escape Shadow Tag Mega Mewtwo X, Primal Groudon, and Mega Mewtwo Y, while the latter increases Mega Abomasnow's longevity throughout the game; however, forgoing Icicle Plate means Mega Abomasnow misses out on the OHKO against Giratina with Boomburst. was half and half on removing this last post-semicolon phrase, leave it for gp

Fake Out on its own is also able to chip opposing sweepers lacking King's Shield, letting Mega Abomasnow hard switch into sweepers that overwhelm the user's team in the long run. hard switching isn't something I would agree with abomasnow while its not paper its not that extremely bulky and it can't eat boosted hits so hard switching into sweepers is misleading. Boomburst is an incredibly powerful STAB move that OHKOes opposing Giratina with an Icicle Plate, and allows Mega Abomasnow to force opposing Wonder Guard users in in the majority of matchups due to the move being largely unresisted when affected by Refrigerate. Stealth Rock allows Mega Abomasnow to support its team through hazard setting, capitalizing on Mega Abomasnow's ability to force out offensive threats; Parting Shot and Gastro Acid are good alternative options, as the former helps to retain momentum against even slow pivot Wonder Guard users like Mega Audino and Primal Kyogre, while the latter forces most opposing Wonder Guard users to switch due to the threat of being hit with a Boomburst or Extreme Speed. Max Attack investment allows Abomasnow to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Extreme Speed while max HP investment allows it to switch into Mold Breaker users, especially Primal Groudon, more easily.I would say just tank more hits easily and abomasnow doesn't need spa investment to OHKO Giratina ray latios or other targets that you hit super effectively. A Brave nature and 0 Speed IVs minimize Mega Abomasnow's Speed, giving it the ability to underspeed slow pivots in Wonder Guard Mega Audino and Chansey.

Mega Abomasnow works best on teams that appreciate its ability to revenge kill Mold Breaker users You can also mention protean/pbond and huge powers since its pretty good at revenging those., in particular on faster offense, dual Mega Mewtwo X teams, bulky offense, and balance. In particular, it works well with the ubiquitous Shell Smash Primal Groudon + Prankster Giratina + Wonder Guard Xerneas core, as even Prankster Giratina proves to be insufficient counterplay to opposing Mold Breaker Primal Groudon on its own. Offensive pressure from Primal Groudon helps retain momentum against teams that rely on Wonder Guard Xerneas to come in on Mega Abomasnow, especially if Mega Abomasnow runs Parting Shot; Prankster Giratina I would try to reword this or add something else because most shell smash wonder guards can pressure giratina out so i don't like using this as an example. helps mitigate the threat of Wonder Guard Shell Smash sweepers such as Xerneas, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Lucario, though moves like Moonblast that heavily damage Giratina can make it hard to switch in. Wonder Guard Xerneas can pass Substitutes to Mega Abomasnow, which allows Mega Abomasnow to set Stealth Rock or threaten opposing switch-ins with Gastro Acid. Max Attack investment allows Abomasnow to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Extreme Speed while max HP investment allows it to switch into Mold Breaker users, especially Primal Groudon, more easily; Special Attack investment is unnecessary due to Boomburst achieving the OHKO against Giratina regardless of investment. A Brave nature and 0 Speed IVs minimizes Mega Abomasnow's Speed, giving it the ability to underspeed slow pivots in like Wonder Guard Mega Audino and Chansey.

Mega Abomasnow works best on teams that appreciate its ability to revenge kill Mold Breaker users as well as to an extent Huge Power, Protean, and rare Parental Bond users, in particular on faster non-Wonder Guard sweepers, such as offense, dual Mega Mewtwo X teams, bulky offense, and balance, and dual Mega Mewtwo X teams. In particular, (comma) it works well with the ubiquitous Shell Smash Primal Groudon + Prankster Giratina + Wonder Guard Xerneas core, as even Prankster Giratina proves to be insufficient counterplay to opposing Mold Breaker Primal Groudon on its own. Wonder Guard Xerneas can pass Substitutes to Mega Abomasnow, which allows Mega Abomasnow to set Stealth Rock or threaten opposing switch-ins with Gastro Acid. Mold Breaker users, in particular slower ones like Mega Tyranitar, Choice item Mega Rayquaza, Dialga, Mega Latios, and Mega Diancie, this list is kind of long, can you pick the three most relevant? also appreciate Mega Abomasnow's ability to revenge kill faster threats. Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web are options over Stealth Rock, as Mega Abomasnow adequately threatens Flying-types, (comma) and its teammates appreciate the chip offered by poison from Toxic Spikes and the opposing speed reduction allowed for by Sticky Web, but these options face stiff competition from Stealth Rock. Speed drop from Sticky Web.

===================

**Wonder Guard Users**: The vast majority of Wonder Guard users can switch in on Mega Abomasnow and render its Refrigerate-boosted attacks null. In particular, (comma) offensive Wonder Guard users are problematic, as they can't be revenge killed by Mega Abomasnow and, in a good matchup, can snowball through teams which have Mega Abomasnow as the sole setup check. in the first paragraph you say it can force out many wonder guard users, here you say it cannot. Fix whichever one is inaccurate

**Offensive Shadow Tag Users**: Offensive Shadow Tag users, especially Mega Mewtwo X, can come in on Mega Abomasnow on a predict resisted move or Fake Out and OHKO it. In particular, (comma) Mega Mewtwo X and Primal Groudon are bulky enough to survive Fake Out into Extreme Speed, (comma) and can OHKO Mega Abomasnow with Drain Punch or V-Create, (comma) respectively. However, most pivoting support is useless for offensive Shadow Tag users aiming to remove Mega Abomasnow due to its abysmal speed, and nearly all Shadow Tag users are vulnerable to getting KO'ed KOed by Boomburst into Extreme Speed.

**Huge Power Mega Gyarados**: Despite Mega Abomasnow investing in HP to increase its bulk, Huge Power-boosted Pursuits are problematic for it. In particular, (comma) Mega Gyarados is an issue, as it can come in on Fake Out, Extreme Speed, or Boomburst safely if healthy.
