Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
"Alright team, in this weird area you all appear to have gained some interesting new abilities!"
"I think that Taro, you should be the first to test them out!"
"I know you didn't get much of a rest after last battle, but these Leftovers should help you gain back a bit of your energy!"
Stealth Rock - Earthquake - High Horsepower
***IF you are under the effects of Taunt when you are to use Stealth Rock, begin action string: Earthquake - High Horsepower - Earthquake
***IF Muk is under the effects of a P/E move when you are to use a damaging Ground-type attack, use Stomping Tantrum the following action
***IF Muk has Double Team clones when you are to use High Horsepower, use Magnitude that action.
With a Focus Sash equipped on one battler, both sides pause to set up, with rocks and tiny bugs and poisonous goop flying across the battlefield. Strangely, when Exequy tries using Knock Off, Taro is completely unaffected! Weird, I wonder what's up with that. Anyway, Exequy is hurting, but can now switch out and force Taro to be stuck in a different matchup.
"I don't know what you mean; I have this in the bag!"
Washington - Mean Look | Trick | Hex
IF Taro is to use Roar THEN use Taunt and push actions down.
IF Taro is to use Protect AND you are not to use Mean Look THEN use Nasty Plot and push actions down.
IF Taro is to use Play Rough AND you are not to use Mean Look THEN use Disable [Play Rough, Stall] and push actions down.
Oh look, a Sableye! I have one of those! Washington does what Sableye do best - lots of disruption with. Uh. No damage dealt over the round. Taro is starting to run low on energy, and certainly has a bunch of debuffs stacked up, but HP wise is barely scratched! Washington holds the Leftovers and the matchup though, so it's entirely possible we will see Taro lose more health next round.
Superpower - Facade - Superpower
***IF Sableye is under the effects of a P/E move when you are to act, Chill that action.
***IF Sableye is underground when you are to act, use Earthquake the first instance.
***IF Sableye is underground when you are to act, and it has been revealed that Sableye is immune to Ground-type moves, Chill that action.
Oh. Oh, oof. Sableye only learns Counter as a tutor move in generation 3, which means the 3* Washington doesn't actually know it. And the recoil from the two Struggles that Washington used is exactly enough for Taro's final Superpower to KO him before Leftovers recovery can factor in. Feel free to check my math here, but I'm fairly confident that GT is the winner! Enjoy your shiny new Cobalion (note: Shininess not required)!
