Match
A match is a composition of multiple games. A match is over when one trainer wins two games.
Both players send in a team of 3 Pokemon.

Game 1:
- The ref flips a coin (or rolls a 1d2, you get the idea) to select who is "T1" and who is "T2"
- T1 strikes one of the five arenas
- T2 strikes two of the remaining four arenas
- T1 strikes one more arena
- The round is played on the remaining arena
- T1 is first sendout

Games 2+:
- The winner of the previous round gets to strike one arena
- The loser of the previous round picks one of the remaining arenas
- The round is played on the selected arena
- The loser of the previous round is first sendout

Game
B3P2 Singles
72h DQ, 1 Warning
Abilities: All
Items: ON
Switch: OK
Megas: 1
Z-Moves: 1
Substitutions: 3
Recoveries: 2 per Pokemon
Chills: 5 per Pokemon
Arena: Variable
Special Rule #1: The game ends when the first KO is scored. The trainer of the KO'd pokemon loses that game.
Special Rule #2: When you send in your team, if a Pokemon has access to more than one form-changing item or attachment: submit one (1) form-changing item or attachment to your ref. The item you submitted to the ref is a secret. During battle, you may not attempt to equip form-changing items or attachments, other than what you submitted to the ref.
Tiebreaker rules:
  • KOing an opponent through a self-KO move or Destiny Bond grants them the win
  • KOing an opponent through a move that results in your Pokémon ENKOing grants you the win
  • KOing an opponent then taking recoil that KOes you too grants you the win
Burnt Plains
A barren wasteland with little to no vegetation in sight. The scorching heat and merciless sun render these lands inhospitable and the earth sterile. As such, the ground is very friable and will easily give in if sufficiently rumbled –but that will spare no one.

  • Default weather is Sun
  • All Pokémon are under the effect of Grass+Fire Pledge
  • Seismic moves have 1.5x their usual BAP, but also hit the user
Codifications
Camouflage: Ground
Nature Power: Earth Power
Secret Power: Decreases the target's Speed by one (1) stage.
==================
Volcano Base
At the base of the volcano where Moltres was located, ash constantly falls. It makes breathing more difficult, and vegetal life in particular finds these conditions almost impossible to survive in.

  • The BAP of all Grass-Type moves is reduced by three (3).
  • Default weather is Ashfall.
    • Ashfall makes all moves cost two (2) extra EN.
    • Ashfall burns all Active Pokemon when it changes directly into Sunny, and poisons all Active Pokemon when it changes directly into Rainy
Codifications
Camouflage: Rock
Nature Power: Power Gem
Secret Power: Decreases the target's Accuracy by one (1) stage.
===================
Volcano’s Edge
On the outside of the volcano where Moltres was located, there is a jagged cliffside. Its peaks are shrouded in heavy mist, and the uneven terrain makes for a hazardous battlefield.

  • Default Terrain is Misty Terrain
  • The battle starts with 1 layer of Spikes on each side
Codifications
Camouflage: Rock
Nature Power: Lava Plume
Secret Power: Burns the target
====================
Land of the Living Flame
There is a rumor saying flames have gained consciousness in these parts. They will stick to living beings and consume their life force to grow stronger still, leaving empty husks in their radiant wake. Surely, that’s just a rumor, right?

  • At the end of round 1, one of the Pokémon in presence, at random, is afflicted with a Living Flame. Living Flame status is like burn, but with some key differences:
    • A contact move will transfer the Living Flame to an opponent
    • Living Flame will affect a Pokémon that would normally be immune to burn by virtue of typing, Ability or item
    • A Living Flame will replace the burn status on a Pokémon
    • If a Pokémon affected by Living Flame switches, its transfers its Living Flame to its replacement
    • You cannot cure a Living Flame, except by passing it to another Pokémon
  • At the end of round 3, the Living Flame flares up, consuming 20 HP and 20 EN from the Pokémon afflicted with it at this time, ignoring all items and Abilities, then it disappears. Afterwards, a new Living Flame is created
Codifications
Camouflage: Ground
Nature Power: Lava Plume
Secret Power: Decreases the target's Attack by one (1) stage.
========================
Moltres’ Antichamber
The giant cavern lying next to Moltres’ supposed resting place. Strong winds blow from all sides, yet when there’s a caveat they all work together to repel the rocks, as if trying to protect the flaming bird next room.

  • Pokémon are constantly under the effect of Razor Wind
  • Damaging Rock-type moves have their BAP decreased by three (3)
  • Damaging Flying-type moves have their BAP increased by three (3)
Codifications
Camouflage: Fire
Nature Power: Lava Plume
Secret Power: Burns the target

Team Doduodrio
:SS/Slowbro:
Slowbro: Sheldon - Male - Stage 3
Types: Water/Psychic
Abilities: Oblivious / Own Tempo / (Unlocked) Regenerator
Profile as a Slowpoke:
Slow and dopey, Sheldon chugs along at his own pace. He has a sturdy body, so if he was attacked, he probably wouldn't even notice. He is often caught staring blankly into space.

Changes Upon Evolving:
One day, Sheldon was sitting at the beach, staring off into space with his usual blank expression when a Shellder flipped out of the water and chomped down hard on his tail, triggering his sudden evolution! Sheldon can now sit up straight, but he still finds it difficult to focus on what's in front of him. His intelligence seems to have increased a little bit, though. Just a bit. Sheldon's body is sturdier than it was as a Slowpoke and can now launch stronger Psychic and Water attacks.

How They Met:
Sheldon's original trainer was one of Doduodrio's friends who traded him in the hopes of evolving him. Unfortunately, before the trade happened, Sheldon managed to lose his King's Rock, and couldn't evolve into Slowking. Because he was a traded Pokemon, Sheldon is one of Doduodrio's strongest team members. His original trainer insists that he doesn't want to trade back for Sheldon, so Doduodrio has been raising him ever since.

Name Origins:
Sheldon has "Shel" in it which references Slowbro's category, the "Hermit Crab" Pokemon.

:SS/Rhydon:
Rhydon: Donna - Female - Stage 3
Types: Ground/Rock
Abilities: Lightningrod / Rock Head / (Unlocked) Reckless
Profile:
Donna has fought in countless battles in the past, and her tough hide is extremely difficult to scratch, especially when she holds her precious Eviolite. She is very serious and rarely smiles or cracks jokes when she's around others which is why she and Sam get along so well. Hefty limbs and a powerful horn allow Donna to truly shine in physical combat, but she can't stand up to Water- or Grass-type attacks at all.

How They Met:
Doduodrio accidentally stumbled upon Donna's lair one day while hiking through the mountains and was promptly charged at. Donna chased him down the mountain, but luckily, he caught her before anything else was destroyed. Their relationship could still use a lot of work, though.

Name Origins:
Rhydon. Donna. If you still don't get it, I'm sorry, but I can't help you there.

:ss/bisharp:
Bisharp: Rook - Male - Stage 4
Types: Dark/Steel
Abilities: Defiant / Inner Focus / (Unlocked) Pressure
Profile:
Rook is overly cautious and trusts nobody because of past experiences. He's more of a strong and silent type. Rook has a dangerous obsession with sharpening his blades and is always hungry for a fight. Doduodrio hopes to get through to him somehow.

How They Met:
Once, Rook was undefeated and led his own pack of Pawniard. Until one of them evolved into a Bisharp and challenged his leadership. And defeated him, driving him out of the pack. In doing so, his pride was damaged, maybe irreparably so, so when Doduodrio stumbled upon him, he immediately challenged him to a battle. As Rook was still hurt from his duel with the other Bisharp, he lost easily and was caught.

Name Origins:
"Rook" is the name of a chess piece. Fairly straightforward name.

[CASOT] IF Pyroak successfully used a damaging Grass-type move this action when you are to act, use Metal Burst and restart queue
[CASOT] IF Pyroak is to use a damaging Grass-type move this action AND Pyroak's EN is the same as Pyroak's EN at the start of this action when you are to act, use Rock Blast and restart queue
[CASOT] IF Pyroak is to use Counter AND you are to use a damaging Rock-type move, use Earth Power instead and restart queue

Note: If substitution two ("IF Pyroak is to use a damaging Grass-type move this action ... use Rock Blast and restart queue") is illegal, please let me know. I would like to reorder if that is the case. It turns out that I need to rephrase it, so I have revised my substitutions.

Well, that was fast. Here we see yet another reason why trying to deter high damage moves with a sub to reflect them can backfire: you might get flat out KOed before you can reflect the damage back! Speaking as the ref who had to dodge around these Grass Knots and Metal Bursts, I really hope next round is a little less "number big".
