The Legend Run: Exclaimer in Ruined Eden

RUINED EDEN: The Cross Roads

Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down and see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive buildup of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock.

Scattered throughout the wreckage, you see some indications that humans once lived here but that a cataclysm had occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilization. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at one point been a pillar of civilization but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumors of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first?

Tulowitzki is an arrogant showoff like nobody else. He's just as happy to win an important match as he is to look good losing one, and could care less about the outcome as long as people understand he was the MVP. Sure, he appreciates his teammates, but only if they admit that he was the star of the show. Which, of course, he is.

ROCKY START

"Bowwowie!"

"Aww.. Aww.. Aww"

With the last of the Lackeys dispatched, you tend to your team before moving on. After a couple of minutes you notice a path to the left of you in the form of a staircase that leads up the left wall. You can take the staircase and follow the path up but you do not know what dangers lie up that path. Alternatively you can continue on your course on the way to the lake but you do not know what danger lies on that path either.

What do you do?

a) Take the rocky staircase.
b) Continue on your path.

ROCKY START

Not interested in the staircase you continue on your current path. There is no point in taking risks when you can just walk to the lake without many issues.

LAVA CROSSING

Walking along the road to the distant lake, you come across an unexpected stream of lava that seems to have shown up like a giant space flea from nowhere. The stream of lava seems to be of reasonable size and there are a few rocks and floating platforms on the lava you can use to hop across. There is also a sack sitting there on one of the platforms which could prove useful. On the other hand, there is a bridge to the right which can take you easily across the lava. What do you do?

a) Cross the lava from rock to rock.
b) Cross the lava via the bridge.

LAVA CROSSING

Not willing to risk your life crossing a stream of lava when there is a bridge handy, you simply cross over the bridge to the other side. The bridge was stable at least as you continue towards the lake...

MAGMAR GAUNTLET

Continuing on the road to the lake, you notice a bunch of Magmar on either side of the road. They seem to have noticed your presence and want to do everything in their power to stop you from progressing further by blindly firing streams of flamethrowers to try and burn you to a crisp. You can try to act brave and attempt to outrun their flamethrower trap. On the other hand, you notice a little bit of a detour to the far right, forming a passage inside the wall. You do not know what lies down that path but you need to make a decision. What do you do?

a) Take on the Magmar Gauntlet.
b) Take the detour to the right.

Subjecting myself to a gauntlet is a move I'd like to call "dumb" so lets go with

b)

MAGMAR GAUNTLET

Not willing to face the gauntlet, you head for the detour. A Magmar spots you as you head in and tries to catch you, only to trip over a rock. So much for their trap. Following the path, you eventually come to a room with a pool of lava in the middle. The room is circular and hot and there is an exit to the left of you. There is also a Power Lens on the ground just below your feet which could be useful later on. What do you do?

a) Pick up the Power Lens.
b) Head towards the exit.

Thinking the Power Lens is not worth it, you simply head for the exit. Unfortunately for you however, three Slugma burst from the lava and block the exit! Then they… simply forget… that they are blocking you. Still, trying to pass them would be a bad idea so you simply send out your Pokémon to take on your adversaries.

Molten Lake - The Great Lava Lake

After an event-filled trek towards the lake, you now find yourself at the giant lava lake itself. You look around to familiarise yourself with the surroundings. You can see the length of this massive lake of lava stretch out for kilometres on end, giving you the feel that this lake is massive and you are going to have to walk for a long time if you desire to uncover the secrets of this place. Surrounding the lake is a path full of rocks and jagged terrain and surrounding the rather wide path are the walls that form the perimeter of the whole area, rising up to about sixty metres into the air in some places. This combined with the heat of the lake gives you the impression that you are inside a furnace, further exacerbated by the sun which constantly beams down on this whole place. You can also notice other unusual things to either side but those are the least of your concerns. There is a conveniently placed pedestal that has some writing on it which you can read. You can also simply ignore the pedestal and turn your attention to the two paths leading around the lake. What do you do?
