Hello, and welcome to the first ever LC UU Swiss Tour! This tour will be the first of our individual tours for 2024, and we're kicking it off with our first look at our post-dlc2 meta!
For those unfamiliar with the Swiss Tour format, it is a non-eliminating format over a set number of rounds similar to league play. Each round players will be matched up with those of the same/similar records. At the end of round play, the top 8 participants are brought into a more traditional single-elimination style bracket to crown our ultimate winner. This means that, a single loss does not eliminate you from contention in this tournament, and that you are guaranteed* to play at least a number of sets equal to the number of rounds in the first stage of the tour.
*with participants dropping out, you may or may not actually get to play all of the rounds, but hopefully we don't run into that too much
For this specific tour the rules are as follows:
Signups will run from the time of this posting until 11:59 pm -6 on January, 14th with the 1st round of Swiss play being posted the following day.
The LC UU Resource Thread can be found here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/sv-lc-uu-metagame-resource-and-discussion-thread.3711750/
The Role Compendium is currently up to date and I am working on getting Sample Teams and a rough VR together for everyone to aid in teambuilding
Any questions may be directed to me. Good luck to everyone and have fun!

For this specific tour the rules are as follows:
- There will be 5 or 6 rounds of play in the first stage depending on total number of signups (<32 = 5 Rounds, >32 = 6 Rounds)
- At the end of the first stage, the top 8 participants will be entered into a seeded single-elimination bracket
- Tiebreakers in the first stage will be as follows: Overall Record, Head to Head (if relevant), Strength of Schedule (Avg Opp Win%), lastly Opponent Strength of Schedule (Avg Opp Opp Win%)
- All games must be played in the Gen9 LC UU format unless tier changes require otherwise. In such cases games may be played in the Gen9 LC format and both players are expected to ensure the legality of their teams under the LC UU ruleset
- All rounds will be best of three, you may switch teams in between games
- Replays are Mandatory throughout the tournament
- Any changes to the tier that occur in the middle of a round will not apply until the next round
- You are expected to know and follow all general tournament rules
- VMs are only thing that matters for activity. Use this guide to ensure you don't lose via activity or coinflip.
- If you decide to drop out of the tour, you must inform myself as soon as possible via this thread.
