DeathBattle just released a DBX that blew away all my expectations. It feels like the pinnacle of fan-made animations. This seemed like the appropriate forum to discuss it as fans. Check it out for yourself.

Ah yes, a fight with only the most badass Pokemon. Lucario. Blaziken. Weavile. Nidoking. Butterfree.
While I'd still consider Alan Becker's Animation vs Pokemon the pinnacle, this was still amazing. I'm especially a fan of the little bit between 5:13 and 5:16 where Lucario smoothly transitions from a ton of side flips to running on all fours to climbing onto Blaziken and going ham to protect Butterfree. Despite Lucario looking like a dog, I never really thought of it as ever running on all fours like a dog, so it was interesting to see it do that. Almost as if seeing Butterfree in danger kicked it into "dog instinct" mode.

This is sick. Though Nidoking is cheating, he can't learn Rollout :P
Interesting choice with Butterfree of all things, but it worked out well. Also liked the wrist flame propulsion Blaziken used
Overall lovely. Only critique is the lighting and textures, but eh, it's Gen 6 models so the latter already tanks. The raw anim is beautiful
